Persistent European Qualification Bug in Career Mode
Dear EA Sports Team, Im writing because Im honestly very disappointed with the current state of Career Mode, especially when it comes to European competition qualification. This has been a problem for years now. Smaller league teams simply dont seem to qualify for European competitions based on where they actually finish in their league. This was never a problem in older FIFA games. If you won your league with a smaller club, you qualified for the Champions League or Europa League just like you should. The system worked. Now, however, it seems to completely ignore the final league positions in some smaller leagues. For example, I can win the Danish league with Brondby or the Norwegian league with Lillestrom, but the game still doesnt properly qualify these teams for European competitions. Instead, it keeps sending the same clubs, such as Malmo , Rosenborg and BodoGlimt, to Europe regardless of where they actually finish. This makes winning the league with these clubs feel almost pointless. What is the point of fighting for the top of the table if the game doesnt even recognize the result afterwards? It also completely breaks the immersion of Career Mode. I waited an entire year hoping this would finally be fixed in EA FC 26, but it wasnt. Now EA FC 27 is here and the exact same problem still exists. What I find especially frustrating is that this doesnt seem like some huge or complicated feature. The qualification system worked correctly in FIFA games over a decade ago, and PC modders have also managed to fix similar issues themselves. It is difficult to understand why this has remained broken across multiple development cycles. For an €80 game, I dont think its unreasonable to expect basic league and European qualification rules to actually work. Career Mode players have been asking for improvements to the mode for years, and problems like this make it feel like the mode is simply being ignored. I not asking for a vague PR response. I asking for the qualification logic to be fixed so that teams actually receive the European qualification they earn through their league position. I really hope you take this seriously, because I’m honestly tired of paying full price every year for a Career Mode that still has issues like this. Sincerely, Attila Kalmar - Playstation 56Views0likes0CommentsXbox One – Game Crashes in Career Mode
I paid extra to get the game early through ea 10hr trial but everytime i try to get in a game in career mode, it kicks me out, freezes, or the game crashes as a whole. This has been going on for 3 days now. How do i fix it????? [CM edit: title]141Views0likes5CommentsSeasons lineups
None of the edits work when u try to change your bench or formation. I thought I could work around it and go to edit team sheets and change formation/ players there. It sorta worked with the formation and starting 11 but the bench wouldn’t save. Annoying as hell!! Lazy **bleep** developers.12Views0likes0CommentsEA Sports are robbing **bleep** who take no accountability for issues!
Career mode - not working! Crashes when trying to load. Online gameplay - same as last year. L Different kits. Pay to get a game early and you recieve a half finished product. Can't speak to anyone to get anything sorted. Robbing **bleep**. Money money money and nothing in return.15Views1like0CommentsFc 27 Career Mode
I have been playing FIFA/EA Sports FC since FIFA 14 and I have bought every single edition since then, with Manager Career Mode always being the mode I spend the most time on. One of the areas that I believe still limits Career Mode significantly is the PlayStyles system. At the moment, real players start with the PlayStyles assigned to them in the database, while Youth Academy players are generated with a certain set of PlayStyles. However, once a career begins, those characteristics remain far too static and do not truly reflect how a player develops or performs on the pitch. What makes this even more noticeable is that EA already changes players’ PlayStyles from one game to the next based on their real-life performances and how their playing style evolves. A player can gain a new PlayStyle, lose one, or even have a different PlayStyle+ in the next edition. So why not apply the same logic inside Manager Career Mode? My proposal would be to introduce a dynamic PlayStyles development system based on how players actually perform over multiple seasons. The progression could work like this: No PlayStyle → PlayStyle → PlayStyle+ For example, a striker who consistently scores finesse goals could eventually develop Finesse Shot. If he continues to excel at that type of finishing for multiple seasons, he could eventually develop Finesse Shot+. The same concept could work for every position. A defender who consistently records a high number of interceptions could develop Intercept and later Intercept+. A centre-back who regularly blocks shots could develop Block. A full-back who creates many assists through crosses could develop Whipped Pass. A midfielder who repeatedly creates chances through through-balls could develop Incisive Pass. Goalkeepers could also develop PlayStyles based on saves, reflex actions, crosses claimed, one-on-one situations or distribution. However, the system should not simply work through artificial objectives such as “score 30 finesse goals to unlock Finesse Shot”. It should take several factors into account at the same time: seasonal statistics, frequency of specific actions, efficiency, player attributes, position, playing time and consistency across multiple seasons. That way, a PlayStyle would actually represent the technical identity that a player has developed during the career. There should also be a reverse process. As players age and change the way they play, some PlayStyles could become weaker or disappear. For example, a winger who has Rapid+ at 24 might lose that advantage later in his career as his pace declines, while developing PlayStyles related to passing, technique or vision. This would make player ageing much more realistic as well. Most importantly, PlayStyle development should not depend only on overall rating. A 78-rated player could be exceptional at one very specific skill and deserve a PlayStyle+, while a 90-rated player could simply be an outstanding all-round footballer without being elite in one particular type of action. Overall rating should represent how good a player is. PlayStyles should represent how that player plays. I believe this would be especially valuable for Youth Academy players. A young player could enter the academy with a few natural traits, but then develop additional PlayStyles depending on how he is used and what he actually achieves throughout his career. After five or ten seasons, players would no longer feel like the same footballers with higher attributes. They would have developed their own technical identities based on what actually happened in the save. As someone who has been playing Career Mode since FIFA 14, I believe this would be one of the best possible additions to increase realism, depth, player development and long-term replayability in Manager Career Mode.202Views1like0CommentsCreate a Player
I maybe one of the only people who use this feature but I want to adress the same thing I did last year. The create a player feature (to use players in kickoff/careermode etc.) has not updated in a few years. I adressed this last year or the year before. The main issues I have are: Player age: The birthyear we can give a player has not been changed the last few years. We can still only go up to 2005, this was the same 3 years ago, before that the birthyear did change every year. We can not create "young talents" anymore like 2 or 3 years ago. Because it hasn't changed. We should be able to go up to 2008 or 2009 depending on age restrictions from EA. (this could be a simple fix right? Only change some numbers in the code). Player potential (this is a suggestion, not a simple fix): We should be able to decide the potential of a created player, if you create young players they always have "potential to be special". But if I want a player to have 82 potential we should be able to give them that. Playstyles (this is a suggestion, not a fix): We should also be able to give players playstyles. Created players have more identity, and are more usable in career mode. For me the main issue is the player age and maybe the lack of possibilities like giving playstyles. Player age should be fixed because it's just negligent to not do so.66Views5likes1CommentCreated Player Customisation
Will we be able to give created players playstyles and customise their potential in FC 27? I'm a career mode player and the fantasy aspect is really important to me. I want to create my own players with their own names, appearances and backstories. But as it stands, it's not possible to play with these players because I can't set their potential or give them playstyles. And I just don't see why we can't do this in an offline game mode. I'd really like to know if this will be implemented before I even consider buying this game. Thanks so much.68Views3likes2CommentsCPU troppo aggressiva
The need for realistic playstyle and form progression FC 27
To the EA Sports FC Development Team, I am writing this as a dedicated Manager Career player who loves the core mechanics, the gameplay, and the players you build, but is incredibly frustrated by how shallow the actual career mode systems remain. I completely avoid Ultimate Team and Clubs because they don't look or feel like real football. Those modes are dominated by an arcade meta where people just exploit broken mechanics and glitch goals to win. For me, the entire purpose of playing this game is simulation. I want to play authentically. I want to use my players exactly how they play in real life, respecting their real-world style, strengths, and limitations. Unfortunately, after playing the pre purchased game - the current progression system makes an authentic career mode impossible without third-party tools. The biggest issue is how Playstyles are handled. In a real football career, players adapt and learn new traits based on their form, coaching, and performance. In your game, a player can go out on loan, perform brilliantly, or hit massive form spikes, but they will never naturally develop a new standard silver playstyle. Locking progression so rigidly behind hitting a 90 rating or linear training structures completely ruins the immersion. Real football isn't a straight line. Players have bad runs of form, lose confidence, and suffer setbacks. Because the game doesn't simulate this, I have spent the last year manually running my own complex risk-and-reward tracking system on the side just to keep my saves realistic. I literally track my squad's match ratings, issuing "strikes" for poor performances (like a 5.5 or 6.0 rating). If a player accumulates three strikes, I roll a 50% chance for a "bad draw" where I use a live editor to manually decrease their stats or strip away a playstyle to simulate a collapse in form. On the flip side, I run percentage-based luck draws when players hit certain rating brackets (71-75, 76-80, 81-85) to manually inject new traits they actually earned on the pitch. I shouldn't have to manage external logic, spreadsheets, and mods just to make a football management game feel realistic. There is a massive community of simulation-first players who want a deeper, more dynamic career mode. Please consider opening up the trait and playstyle system so that players can dynamically gain or lose characteristics based on sustained form, match ratings, and performance on the pitch. Thank you for your time, and I truly hope this feedback reaches the design team. Sincerely, Omrim.38Views0likes0CommentsDynamic player ratings need adjusting in manager career mode
Dynamic player ratings is an issue not because it doesn’t work or that it’s not a good new feature but it’s because it forces you to constantly rotate your players in the starting XI and that’s not anywhere near plausible or realistic. Like yes managers rotate their squads in real life, but it’s not every matchday. It’s almost impossible to keep players in form and sustain thier ratings because the game forces you to rotate them because of artificial “fitness and form” linked to dynamic player ratings. The system in theory is good and is a welcome addition but it definitely needs tweaking to not be sooo strong20Views0likes0Comments
