Solitaire - Tips for a new player?
Hey everyone 👋 This is my first post here, so please go easy on me 😄 I just wanted to talk about Solitaire for a bit. I’ve been playing it regularly lately, and it’s honestly one of those games that looks simple but gets surprisingly strategic the more you play. Sometimes I win in a few minutes, and other times I get completely stuck even though I thought I was playing smart. Do you guys have any small tips that actually made a big difference in your win rate? Like move order, when to draw from the stock, or how long to hold certain cards? Today, I saw the notice that three games are being retired: A Way with Words, Anagrams, and Quinn's Aquarium. This genuinely came as a shock to me because Pogo just sunsetted a bunch of games semi-recently and because Quinn's was notoriously one of the most popular games. The elimination of games after Java obviously made sense, but with the cries of players everywhere yearning for the traditional game files to be revitalized...Pogo and EA have been extremely passive when it comes to their fanbase. Worse still and yet, perhaps most notably, the newest games are going to be similar to Solitaire Home Story, Viola's Diner, etc. which again, players have been VERY vocal in saying that these types of games are not desired. The stylization is more juvenile, the gameplay tends to be more similar to what one could get on thousands of other sites, and they are all driven by a similar building structure. Rather than getting to play at your own leisure, there are energy requirements and the focus shifts to buying in-game items. Essentially, it seems to be a desperate appeal toward younger generations and gaining more money from in-site purchases. Part of their message included the following quote: "Retiring older titles allows us to focus our efforts on building exciting new experiences and continuing to strengthen the Pogo platform for the future." However, in reading the message, the vast majority of people are constantly noting their plans to cancel memberships (if they have not already). The forums are bursting with pleas wishing for how the site and games used to be. The newer games could just as easily be retired to focus their efforts elsewhere, but they choose older games for some bizarre reason. Even then...Quinn's still had some components of a building-based game, albeit with unlimited energy and a much preferred interface for the majority of us. I cannot fathom why Pogo has to sunset it; they could even just leave it there to play infinitely instead of washing it from the site. There is no resolution to this that I myself can provide, nor anyone else on this platform, I am sure. I more so needed a place to lay out my thoughts, which I know many of you share based on some other posts. The website now holds barely 60 games, many of which are subpar & that players dislike (or may be neutral toward at best). With one game being sunsetted after another - and with such poor, glitchy, juvenile, basic games replacing them - Pogo is shifting to a site that I may no longer yearn to frequent.Can't use Gems
POGO only wonts to take are Money ... the first time trying to use a bought Visa card they take it and put it in my Wallet account 3 years ago they still wont let me use it ??? and they never ever HELP WITH ANY THING NOTHING .... really wont all the Games they us to have Back .. anything better than this scammed up Games you can't reach them at all. BUT They will send you renewal of membership and take your Money and will never ever will they help. they owe me over 450 GEMS and won't give them back ???????Mahjong Sanctuary Change
Hi All, I've been Playing Mahjong Sanctuary for awhile and have really enjoyed playing it......until the game was updated to an "easier" format. Your moves are now highlighted. Why? An easier format is like cheating. I like to play and if I lose, i'l just start again. Please, Please, put it back to the way it was. I now have been playing Mahjong Garden instead. Great game, I just like Mahjong Sanctuary better.Improving at FreeCell – Tips for Managing Free Cells Better?
Hi everyone 👋 New here and happy to join the forum. I’ve been playing FreeCell for a while and really enjoy the strategy side of it. Lately I’ve been trying to improve my win rate on tougher deals, especially the ones where the tableau gets crowded early. One thing I’m still figuring out is how you all decide when to use a free cell early vs. saving it for later. Sometimes using one quickly helps me open columns, but other times it feels like it blocks future moves. Would love to hear how experienced players think about managing free cells and empty columns in harder games. Any simple tips or mindset shifts that helped you improve?Bluetooth mouse won't work in game.
I have my samsung tablet the I want to play pogo on. But when I try using a bluetooth mouse it wont work. It lets me slect the game but after that nothing. Is there some setting I'm missing? I was excited to be able to play pogo on my tablet and bought a Bluetooth mouse just to play pogo. Sad it won't work in game.Solitaire Blitz- Good Game, Bad Ending
I have completed all the levels in Solitaire Blitz on Pogo. Upon the last level, "Whirlpool to Where?" in "Dead or Alive", I expected a final battle where Pearl and her friends fight off Claudia and destroy her vortex machine and save the sea. Instead, it activated and trapped them all! I became heartbroken due to the story's betrayal. 💔 😞 So, let this be a spoiler alert/warning to all Pogo players. If you do not like sad endings or cliffhangers, then please do not play Solitaire Blitz! Click on the attachment below to find why.
