On the Wounded Coast - Dragon Age II discussion
Here's a 'general discussion' thread for Dragon Age II. It's a game that polarises opinion. Some dislike it the most for its limited areas. Some like it the most for its story and characters (I'm one of those). What's your take on Dragon Age II? 🙂214Views3likes4CommentsDA2 dlcs problems on Steam
I have recently bought DA origins and DA 2 from Steam. With Origins, I had no problem with the DLCs, however with DA 2 I just reached Act 2 and noticed that the DLC statues did not appear in my estate. I then went and checked and saw that my dlcs are unauthorized, Also, the game is not letting me log in with my EA account. Is there a solution for this, or do I just have to accept that you can't play DA2 dlcs from Steam?🔧Maintenance: Dragon Age II – Temporary Downtime May 6, 2025🔧
Hey, folks Dragon Age II will be undergoing planned maintenance on May 6, so you might run into a few hiccups if you're launching the game that day. What to expect: The game’s system for checking for DLC content may cause errors during the downtime. You can still play the game offline, but you might see error messages or brief connection issues while the game tries to verify content. There’s no need to reinstall anything, and everything should return to normal once maintenance wraps up. Thanks for your patience while we take care of a few things behind the scenes. Update: Maintenance now completed. If you run into any issues with the game, please open a new thread and tag me! Thanks everyone.637Views2likes2Comments[Old] PC - Dragon Age II 🐲 DLC Not Available To Download
It's one of those posts again! I got Dragon Age II years ago somehow (my old Origin app had an activation date of 2015 - apparently this was from the Humble Origin Bundle 2?), and I just noticed that I never got the DLCs that were given away, my copy of the game says it's the Standard Edition (see attached photos) and there is no way for me to get the missing DLCs without buying the game again. I just spent the past day trying to figure out what to do but nothing I found online seems to have worked. I have: Cleared my EA app cache, logged out and in again; Downloaded the free DLC add-ons from https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/dlc-for-classic-games/#dragonage/ and installed them (they show up as "Unauthorized" in the game); Logged in to the Dragon Age keep to unlock the content manually there; Logged in to my EA account via the game; Synced the accounts between the keep and my computer manually several times; Uninstalled and reinstalled the game; Deleted the contents of the licenses folder; Cleared all my characters at the Dragon Age keep. Nothing seems to work. The game insists that I have to buy it again to get the DLC content. So what can I do? Do I have to buy the game again?Solved7.7KViews1like124Commentsunable to play DA:2 and DA:I
i bought dragon age 2 and dragon age inquisition secondhand from a bookstore. i tried to play dragon age 2, and i was stopped by the securom setup thing. i tried to install dragon age inquisition and it wanted me to install origin, but origin was discontinued. i entered my product code for dragon age inquisition on the ea app and it told me it was already in use. i tried to get a ticket or something from the ea help thing but that didn't work and i'm not sure anymore if i can get an actual human person to help me with this issue. maybe i can keep hacking away at the account support until i get somewhere it shouldn't be this hard to install and play a decade old game.Dragon Age Crashea
Dragon Age 2 won't boot up.
I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this issue, but I've been playing DA 2 for 20 hours total so far and the game was running pretty well, then all of a sudden during a cutscene the game crashes on me. I've tried to boot the game back up but it gives me the same response of "the game won't launch, there's an issue on our end that won't let the game launch". I've tried nearly everything, from uninstalling and reinstalling the game, to restarting the EA app, to repairing the files itself and I'm getting no luck. I've contacted support and they've said they'll report this to the team but I want to know if there's anyone else who's suffering the same issues and if they managed to find a way to fix this.
