EA App asking UAC permission at game launch
EA app asks UAC permission/ Admin rights twice every time I need to lauch a game on Windows 11 (even if no update or new content is available... just wanting to launch EA app triggers the request) Specifically, from EALauncher.exe and EADesktop.exe I have set everything connected to EA App and the Sims 4 to run ad admin by default, but for some reason the prompts are still there. It's not possible for me to take screenshots of said issue either. This has happened for a very long time now, but it's starting to get very annoying125Views0likes2CommentsUnable to launch game due to "not owning the game"
I've been working with the support to try and resolve this, but they directed me to the forums. I can't launch my Red Alert 3 from my library. I bought the game back when it came out on CD-Rom and added it on Origin as was required. After the update to the EA-app (and I think the launch of the C&C remastered collection). The game no longer is able to download as I get an error messages stating: Which is silly as I'm looking at the CD-Rom lying in front of me. The game doesn't have its own gamehub and the only option under the three dots is to download it, which gives this error. Having down the usual gamut of uninstalling, repairing, cache clearing, restarting etc. The service team couldn't help me further and directed me to post over here. Is there anyone who can help me out?89Views2likes2CommentsApp consistently disconnect and reconnects
This has been happening for a while now, and it's starting to drive me crazy. When I play my games, the app icon starts bouncing and showing a notification number. This doesn't stop until I bring up the EA app window. On closer inspection, when I first bring up the EA app window, it shows that it's offline, and once I'm on the app, it reconnects, and the icon stops bouncing. I go back to playing my game, and a couple of minutes later, this all happens again. If I ignore it my game will because very laggy. I don't close the app when I'm playing; it's always open, just on a different desktop screen. I can't see any pattern in what causes this to reoccur. No access to 'EA.Ink'
I opened my laptop yesterday and got this pop on my OneDrive: I can only assume this has to do with the EA app, but have no idea what it does or what I did to cause this. The only thing I did the day before was empty my computer's recycle bin. The only thing it's seemed to affect is that I can't buy any expansions in the Sims 4, but besides that the EA App and Sims 4 seems to be running otherwise. Can someone please tell me how to fix this, or if I even need to? Maybe also tell me what this effects besides purchases in the Sims 4. I'd also appreciate it if someone could tell me how I've done this so I can avoid doing this again. Thank You.Not receiving pre order or deluxe edition DLC
I pre ordered the deluxe edition of Dragon Age the Veilgaurd and have still not received my DLC. It just does not show up in the game. This has been happening since the release of the game in November last year. Does anyone have any idea how this can be fixed? It shows here but does not show up in the game at all. I've completed the game and still nothing.31Views0likes2Commentsxbox app ea extension error code:-2147221163
I am having trouble connectin xbox app to the ea extension it says were having trouble connecting to the ea app error code:-2147221163 to contact ea app support I have tired all of these- Restart and Update: Restart your PC. Make sure Windows is up to date with the latest updates installed. Check Internet and Security Software: Ensure your internet connection is stable. Temporarily disable any third-party antivirus or firewall to rule out interference. If this fixes it, add the EA app as an exception in your security software. Redownload and Reinstall EA App: Uninstall the EA app completely. Download the latest installer from the official EA website and reinstall it. Check Account Linking and Authentication: Visit the EA Account connection page: Log out from all EA-related sites, then back in using the 'Sign in with Xbox' option. If prompted, create or relink your EA ID. You may need to manually unlink and relink your Xbox and EA accounts by visiting the connections section in your EA account settings Clear DNS Cache: Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run: ipconfig /flushdns Check Xbox Services Are Running: Open Services app (Win+R, type services.msc). Hello, I’m experiencing an issue trying to purchase The Sims 4: Lovestruck Expansion Pack during the current sale. Every time I try to add the pack to my cart through the EA App or the EA website, I get the following error: "We're having trouble updating your cart." This only happens with Lovestruck. I’ve already successfully purchased another DLC from the sale using the same account, region, and payment method, so the issue is not related to my location or payment. I’ve already tried: Restarting the EA App Clearing the cache using App Recovery Switching to English language Logging in through a browser (Chrome) Re-adding my payment method None of these steps resolved the issue. Please help me complete the purchase or advise what else I can do. Thanks in advance, Roni.
