Commander, you’ve received a new message at your private terminal! When logging into Mass Effect 3 or Mass Effect Andromeda multiplayer. Players may run into one of the following errors: Mass Effect 3 - "An online pass is required to access the online features of the game." Mass Effect Andromeda - "Missing Online Access" Changes to the EA account cause these specific errors. These can include, but are not limited to, the following: EA Play subscription expired - This is the main reason in most cases Account Mergers A separate account downloaded the DLC, and the game does not recognize that your EA account owns the content. If you encounter this error when launching the game or multiplayer mode, first try the following steps to see if they resolve the error(s). Delete EA License Files: Make sure the EA app is closed. Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time. Type or copy and paste "ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER Delete all files within this folder. Clear Windows temp files: Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time Into the new window, type or copy & paste: "%temp%" (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER" Now your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you will need to contact our Support Team, who will review your EA account and make any necessary changes with you. I've found 3 threads on EA about Mass Effect not launching on Windows from the last month. I'm afraid I've had the same issue on Steam Deck too :( Things I've tried: Verifying the integrity of the game cache Launching from desktop mode Uninstalling and reinstalling Launching after reinstall from desktop mode also I've updated steam, proton and mas effect. Would anyone have any other suggestions on fixes? I've been connected to stable internet every time I've launched it. It will say I'm playing it, then immediately close. The closest I got to anything was after I reinstalled it and launched it from desktop mode where the EA app opened a window which said it was installing. But then of course it didn't launch :( I'm 100+ hours in and I just want to finish ME3. It's my first play through of the entire series and I just really want to finish it 😭Solved2.7KViews0likes1CommentMass Effect 3 Online Pass Error

Commander, you've received a new message at your private terminal! Ready to jump back in the game and save the galaxy? Are you running into an error that matches the following: "Unable to authorize the listed DLC"? Below are the steps to help resolve this error when launching both Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. Checking your account First things first. Make sure you are logged into the correct account. With older titles, we may often end up with multiple EA accounts without realizing it. Use the following steps to verify you are in the correct account. Head on over to EA.com and log in with your EA credentials. Under the About Me section, make sure you see a Mass Effect ID. If you play on Epic/Steam/Switch, check the Connections tab at the bottom of the page to verify the accounts are linked. Click on Order History, change the drop-down to match All, and scroll through the content, as there should be logs here with each DLC name. Note: If the EA account previously had an EA Play subscription, once the subscription ends, you will lose access to any additional content the subscription provides. You can read more about what content is included in the Learn about EA Play article. Once you verify you are in the correct account, perform the following steps below as these should help reinstall the DLC content and resolve these errors. Troubleshooting Steps Locate the following folder on their PC Default Path: C:\Program Files\EA Games. This path may vary depending on where the player installs the game. C:\Program Files\EA Games\Mass Effect 2\BioGame C:\Program Files\EA Games\Mass Effect 3\BIOGame Delete ALL DLC content within the DLC folder Delete EA License Files Make sure the EA app is closed. Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time. Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER. Enable View Hidden Files and Folders Delete all files in the "License" folder. If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you will need to contact one of our advisors to review the account and the content currently linked to the account you log into the game with. Players can contact our live support team on our Help Site. To request a chat or open a case through email. Yes, another one of these. After spending many hours over multiple days discussing this issue with both EA and Steam support I was finally told to just report my issue here. In short, you have probably heard this one before. When I boot up Mass Effect Andromeda it greets me with the error message "You are not allowed to access the online features of this game". After following the steps outlined in this ( [PC] Mass Effect Online Access Error in Multiplayer Mode | EA Forums - 9200656 ) forum post to no avail I contacted the EA support for the first time. Over the course of a few hours with multiple support agents attempting to help the end result was, that their internal system does not recognize me owning the game in the first place. They instructed me to reach out to Steam support since I had bought the game through them and ask for "the specifics of the purchase" (The automatic translation making it quite difficult to actually follow what exactly they were trying to tell me by the way). So I did just that, with the Steam Support getting back to me after two days stating that on their end all is fine, I own the game and it is registered in their system. Great, back to EA support I was sent. I explained my issue for what felt like the 100th time and eventually the support agent figured out that yes, indeed, their system does not recognize any ownership on my account of a product key regarding Mass Effect Andromeda. After telling me that they would help me if they could, they said they would report it to their internal team and sent me here to report my issue once more, hence this post. I have seen multiple posts about this reaching back many years. Some are marked as resolved, others aren't. System: PC Windows 10 Purchased on Steam Latest EA App Version 13.482.0.5995 I recently reinstalled Legendary Edition to replay the trilogy and no matter what I try I cannot get my controller to connect (I have PS5 and a generic xbox controller). I remember playing with controller just fine back in 2021 and the best I can find online is that this seems to be an ongoing issue with the EA App itself. I bought the game on steam, I have adjusted every possible controller setting on there. I have tried adding EADesktop as a non-steam game, and that does show the controller in the Legendary menu, but once I boot up ME1 it no longer shows any controller options. If anyone has any other work arounds to try that would be great!1.1KViews0likes3CommentsMass Effect Legendary edition Steam does not start in Linux
Hi I have bought the game on STEAM and it's supposed to work in Linux but it does not start. There is some "EA-APP" that tries to install and then nothing happens. How do I start the game?? I run Linux Mint on a gaming PC.700Views0likes12CommentsUnable to download DLC for Mass Effect 3 in the EA app
After purchasing and launching Mass Effect 3 (2012) on EA, it was discovered that there was no DLC download for both single and multiplayer games. When I tried to find them in "add-ons management", they were not displayed. They weren't in the store either. Restarting the game, reinstalling the game, and clearing the cache did not help. There is no way to play with DLC. Please explain how to solve this problem. If there is a problem on the part of the launcher, are they going to solve it or at least provide the opportunity to manually install DLC.Solved600Views0likes15Comments
