Hello EA team and players, I’m a fan of classic NFS games like Most Wanted 2005, Carbon, Underground 1 & 2, and I have an idea to bring them to modern PC systems! My suggestion: Release a modern Remake of the classic games, optimized for 2025–2026 PC specifications. Merge the stories from all four games with new story content to make a continuous, exciting experience. Combine the maps: all maps from the four games into one large map, allowing free movement between cities and areas. Enhanced performance features for PC: Smart open FPS from the start without manually adjusting any settings. Frame rate automatically adapts to your PC’s capabilities, whether low-end, medium, or high-end. This version will make the game: Fun and smooth for all PC players. A perfect blend of nostalgia for old fans and a fresh experience for new players. A fantastic opportunity for EA to deliver a fully enhanced and complete classic NFS experience on PC. Let’s bring these classics to modern PC systems! Every vote counts.PLEASE REMASTER NFS MOST WANTED 2012
Hello all! I just downloaded MW2012 on steam on my ~2016 dell latitude laptop a few days ago just to be able to play this game again. Since playing I've been meaning to post on some sort of forum requesting that EA bring this game back as a remaster to the new consoles (I have PS5) and/or at least take nearly everything the game has to offer and put it into a new NFS game. (Remaster first, please). Keep in mind I'm not usually the type to post comments online or on forums or anything really besides my GF on insta LOL. But this is how passionate I feel about how good this game was (is) and how well it was made. Let me start off by saying that I have played every NFS game up to the current NFS Unbound; as a 25 y/o engineer who doesn't have as much time as he used to to enjoy such games, how is it that I am enjoying playing a 13 year old game on a laptop I used for college studies significantly more than the newest game on the newest console? Need For Speed Most Wanted 2012 is so unbelievably "goated" after playing it throughout the years (still got it at the parents house on the 360) I know for a fact it’s more than nostalgia, it’s more than my affinity for racing games, it’s genuinely a fantastic game. Everything from the fun/ease of the driving mechanics, the perfect balance of pursuit/takedown difficulty of cop chases, to one of the best gaming soundtracks ever (old FIFA tier) this game is just so playable. Growing up, I was one of the very few of my gaming friends who were even into racing games. When MW2012 came out, myself and those few others convinced at least 10 other non-racing-game friends to get this game back in the day. My friend even bought a 360 just so he could get this game and play with us bc we were all having a blast in multiplayer lobbies together. On top of the lobbies, perhaps even more important to some, you had the leaderboard amongst your friends for nearly everything - the jumps, speedcams, race times etc. We would spend hours trying to beat each others jump distance or their times. - Okay maybe that was a bit of nostaligia, but the fact that it was able to bring in so many of my friends who were never interested in racing games (or even video games) speaks to the fact that it is just a straight-up fun and easy-to-play game. The map itself is so diverse and unique in the terms of obstacles, jumps, turns, buildings etc. all of which are so perfectly laid out and everything flows so smoothly. The jumps are fun and satisfying, THE SELECTION OF CARS IS INCREDIBLE, the drifting is a blast, the takedowns are satisfying, THE DLC IS INCREDIBLE (probably the only one that has ever been worth my $ besides BO3 zombies chronicles) I could go on and on and on. I think it's a shame that years later this game doesn't get the credit it deserves; all I ever see is how highly regarded the original MW was and UG1&2 are - of course those are certified classics and were great games but MW2012 is different and is the only game I would care to see remastered for the new gen (besides Skate 3 great job on that one EA!) I've even started encouraging my gamer friends to download this masterpeice "Dude, it's $2.99 on steam" and see if we can still get into a lobby tg. A few weeks ago I convinced some of my friends to get the newest, Unbound, when it was on sale and we played it once together but no one could really get into it. Unfortunately, I think some of the newer game(s) are just too difficult/overrefined ? - casuals simply don't have the patience. I really do appreciate what has gone into the customization aspect of the newer games - I love to sit there and design a car exactly the way I would want it irl; but somehow, MW2012 lacking that aspect, almost completely, (besides the "on-the-go" tire/nos/chassis/body/tran which is awesome btw i.e. for switching to reinflates during a cop chase) MW2012 did pretty much everything just right. I think I've yapped enough - thank you EA for creating such a wonderful game - a masterpeice really - and I hope you take into consideration the opinions of people like us blabbing about a 13 y/o game on your forum 😄. Myself and my friends who played this game have had the same opinion since it came out and 13 years later we're still screaming it is one of the greatest games of all time. I just hope it becomes available as a remaster someday soon 🙏 Ok thx bye.Clearance of the "confusing" info about NFS Rivals closure
Hello everyone, I started this discussion topic because I'm confused on the Need for Speed Rivals server closure. Thing is, the decomissioned titles page says that the game is going to shut down on October 7th, 2025. But the thing is mentions "PlayStation, Xbox 1, PC" (why listing the platforms like that??) Honestly what kind of confusing things are here? If the game shuts down, will be closed on all platforms? Meaning it will close on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC? If so, why there's no announcement of said closure here on forums on NFS's social media? It's because Criterion it's focused helping DICE on Battlefield 6 and they can't post a announcement of this game's closure? Pfft. Also , why not extending the life of the servers for one or two more months? You're shutting down this game on PS3/360 but it's ilogical that you're still having NFS Most Wanted 2012 and NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 online on said platforms. What a "logic". So, can you clear up the info about Rivals? I honestly find it confusing. Thanks.SolvedStuttering and Lag in NFS Heat Cutscenes and Intro Videos (PC)
Dear EA Forum Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to report persistent stuttering and lagging issues during cutscenes and intro videos in the PC version of Need for Speed Heat. These performance problems significantly affect the gameplay experience, especially during immersive story-driven moments. I have ensured that my system meets the recommended requirements and have also tried common troubleshooting steps, including updating drivers and adjusting in-game settings, but the issue persists. It appears to be a widespread concern among several PC users. Given the popularity of the title and the impact of these issues on playability, I kindly request that the development team investigate this matter and provide an update or patch at the earliest convenience. Your prompt attention and response would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if any further details or logs are needed from my end to assist in resolving this. Thank you for your continued support. Best regards, Rahul VermaSolvedBring Classic NFS Games to Android & iOS with Smart Open FPS
Hello EA team and players, I’m a fan of classic NFS games like Most Wanted 2005, Carbon, Underground 1 & 2, and I have an idea to make them available on mobile! My suggestion: Release these games on Android and iOS so players can enjoy them without using emulators, and they can run even on low-end devices. The game should be smart in adjusting FPS automatically: FPS is open from the start without needing to tweak any settings. Frame rate adjusts automatically based on device capabilities: screen size, processor, and RAM. Minimum requirements: RAM: at least 2 GB Processor: low-end, medium, or high-end Game size: at least 2–3 GB This will make the games: Easily accessible for all mobile players, even those with low-end devices. Fun and smooth to play right from the start. Attractive to both new and returning players who love classic NFS games. Let’s bring these classics to mobile! Every vote counts.Request for a Remastered Edition of Need for Speed: The Run
Dear EA, We, a passionate group of fans, would like to kindly request the development of a Remastered Edition of Need for Speed: The Run. This game holds a special place in our memories for its thrilling story, stunning character designs, and its unforgettable coast-to-coast journey. We humbly suggest that the remaster could include: The full restoration of all additional content (DLC) previously released for console versions, bringing them to PC for the first time. Modern graphical enhancements, including 4K resolution support, improved textures, dynamic lighting upgrades, and an uncapped framerate. Faithful preservation of the original gameplay and story, avoiding unnecessary alterations that might affect the essence of the game. Optimized performance and full controller support on current-generation hardware. We strongly believe that a remastered version would not only rekindle the nostalgia of long-time fans but also introduce a new generation of players to the magic of The Run. Thank you sincerely for considering this request. We deeply appreciate your incredible work and hope to see the spirit of The Run live on for years to come. Respectfully, The Fans of Need for Speed: The RunA Request For The Future Of Need For Speed
Dear Criterion, I know you’re currently focused on Battlefield and other projects, but I wanted to take a moment to share a suggestion that I, and many in the Need for Speed community, deeply care about. Sometime around 2026 - 2030, could you revisit Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) and remaster it to align with its original beta/prototype vision? Many of us believe that Most Wanted 2012 had incredible potential but was held back due to constraints. If given the chance, it could become the next great Need for Speed title. We'd like to ask that EA allow you the time and creative freedom needed to make this project the best it can be, without being rushed. The NFS community is willing to take action, raise awareness, and support this idea in any way we can. We believe in you, Criterion, and we believe in Most Wanted. 0% microtransactions, 0% p2w (pay to win) elements, and just pure Most Wanted 2005 vibes. Well, maybe also with fewer weapons. Remember that iconic voice line? "Suspect is the Rockport fugitive. Driver remains MOST WANTED." It’s time to make that line a reality. Again. We’re not just asking for a remaster, we’re asking for Most Wanted 2. Thank you for your time and everything you’ve done for racing games and the Need for Speed community, regardless of EA's rushiness and greed.
