Extreme FPS drops on Golmud Railway
Hi, after the latest update I’m experiencing extreme FPS drops on Golmud Railway, to the point where playing objectives as infantry is pretty painful. I asked other players on the server as well, and they’re dealing with the exact same issue, even though many of us have solid hardware setups. Please fix this as soon as possible so the game is actually playable again… The map itself is really cool, which makes it even more frustrating that we can’t properly enjoy it.1.4KViews14likes20CommentsPC freezing after 10 minutes of playing since 4/16
Yesterday all was fine and I could play BF6 without any issue. Since today, it doesn't matter what I configure, after about 10min off playing freeze. Only hard reset of the PC let it start again. Here the crash dump attached. Chat GPT said its an issue from the Battlefield update today. Yo! Ever since the launch of Season 3, I've been having issues with FSR freezing. With FSR enabled, the game runs fine during gameplay. However, every time I die and go to the deploy screen, the game freezes. The same thing happens when I alt-tab, when I tab back in the game freezes for up to a minute before recovering. Disabling FSR completely fixes the issue, but then I lose around 20 or so frames and the image becomes much more jagged due to the lack of antialiasing. I've tried reinstalling the game, testing both older and newer AMD drivers, and performing clean driver installs with DDU, but nothing has helped. When you leave a match the music will overlap, and get stuck on the loading icon, without returning the player to the menu. Playing any mode since the new update causes a much longer delay in finding a match, sometimes unable to find any on any mode, even at a peak time. Severe frame rate drops since the update, with presumed server lag, as there's no icons being displayed. Any updates to these would be greatly appreciated as it's made the game almost unplayable.Short screen freeze right after getting to the spawn screen
It started for me with patch 1.3.1. Every time I get to the spawn screen, the screen freezes for a short moment. There was a similar thread where they advised deleting the settings folder, which I did, and everything worked fine upon launch. However, as soon as I restored my settings, the freezes started again. I finally figured out that the freeze occurs when FSR Native AA or FSR upscaling is turned on, but there are no freezes with TAA. Honestly, even in the menu, my screen freezes for a split second whenever I toggle between upscaling options. I'm running AMD driver version 26.5.2 and I have a 9070 XT card.AMD GPU Driver Deletion- Battlefield 6
When launching into the game (Battlefield 6/BF6) and idling for 1-2 minutes, my AMD graphics drivers and software were entirely deleted from my PC. Main and secondary displays black-screened and required re-install of all graphics drivers and software to function. The root cause: Battlefield 6 has a flawed matchmaking system that is not effectively connecting Australian and New Zealand players to local Oceanic servers. Instead, it often prioritizes speed over connection quality, regularly placing players in high-ping matches on servers in distant regions. The smaller player population in the Oceanic region makes this issue even worse, especially during off-peak hours. The consequences: This is not just an inconvenience; for many players in the region, it makes the game unplayable. This has led to widespread frustration and concern that the game's population in Oceania will die off quickly if the problem is not addressed. The demand: The standard customer support advice—like using a wired connection or restarting the game—is useless. The community's demands are clear and reasonable: Fix the matchmaking logic to prioritize connection quality and local servers for AU and NZ players. Provide transparency on what is being done to address the problem. Consider reintroducing a proper server browser for core modes, as the current Portal-only browser is not a sufficient solution for official playlists2.1KViews12likes8Comments
