High Usage CPU/GPU After S4
Hello Everyone, after this update and season 4 , im having some issues on my game. Cpu and Gpu usage randomly increased. Sometimes after returning to the class and flag selection screen and spawning again , performs returns to normal usage ( CPU ~35% ) ( GPU ~60%) . And some moments later after anothers death/spawn performs jumps to CPU ~70% and GPU ~98% without any graphics settings changes. Same PC same MAP same match. Tested on Tsuru Reef and others maps having the same issue after this patch. The FPS dropped a bit, and the latency in ms shoots up significantly—not to mention the temperature of the entire PC. Tried to uninstall graphics driver with DDU, Rollback nvidia drivers , rollback windows updates and some anothers things and not solved yet. It just goes to show that the problem really stems from the game itself following the last update. SPECS : R7 9800x3d / RTX 5070 Ti / 32GB RAM I have attached the images.190Views1like12CommentsPossible performance fix for recent low fps gameplay
I was playing the game with rolled back drivers because of DXGI crashes on REDSEC and after s4 update i started losing around 30-40 fps. After seeing that 610.88 driver update might fix the issue I did a clean install with DDU and new driver file but it didn't change anything. I tweaked the upscaling options a bit and had a huge performance boost. I am using a rtx 5080 and the only thing that mattered that really increased my fps was Upscaling settings. After changing it to dlss performance and using dlss 4.5 model with 2x mfg i started having 240 fps and the numbers changed just a bit even if i used lower or higher graphic settings like terrain quality texture quality etc. But dlss model 4.0 performs worse on my case so depending on your gpu you can use whatever model works best.Severe FPS drops and GPU usage drops since recent updates
Since the recent Battlefield 6 updates I have been experiencing severe FPS drops during multiplayer. The game starts normally, but after a few minutes the FPS suddenly drops dramatically while GPU utilization also drops significantly. The GPU is not fully utilized anymore, resulting in heavy stuttering and making the game almost unplayable. My system: - Ryzen 9 7950X3D - RTX 4090 - 64 GB DDR5-6400 - Samsung 990 Pro NVMe SSD - Windows 11 25H2 - NVIDIA Driver 610.74 - Samsung OLED G9 (5120×1440) I have spent many hours troubleshooting: - Updated BIOS to the latest version. - Updated AMD chipset drivers. - Enabled EXPO correctly. - Performed a clean NVIDIA driver installation using DDU. - Verified game files. - Cleared Battlefield cache. - Disabled overlays. - Tested different NVIDIA Control Panel settings. - Benchmarked with 3DMark Time Spy (stable). - Tested The Division 2 (DX12) without any FPS drops or GPU issues. - DLSS is set to quality The issue only occurs in Battlefield 6. Other demanding DX12 games run perfectly. I have also found many posts on Reddit and the EA Forums describing the exact same behaviour after the recent Battlefield updates. Is EA aware of this issue? Can someone from DICE or EA confirm whether this is currently being investigated? Thank you.705Views3likes7Comments"DirectX function... failed with E_NOINTERFACE" Error on first time opening BF6
This is happening on the first time i open this game, it will show the javelin anticheat bar and then it will go fullscreen and go black and show this error message. I have a 5060 RTX Laptop GPU and i installed the 596.49 Driver but it still shows this message. I am opening the game from Steam. Also tried using debug mode from Nvidia Control Panel, didn't work. This is so frustrating as i just purchased this game and have been eager to play it for so long.16Views0likes0CommentsUI Elements Appear to Freeze after Dying
Hello, UI elements freeze after dying before allowing a player to respawn during all game modes. This has happened consistently from, as far as I can remember, Season 2. See video: https://youtu.be/ozpIMBQn6tE Context: PC (Steam), UK region. DxDiag txt file attached. Internet quality and stability as seen in screen shot.Micro-freezes on new map Tsuru Reef - Season 4 - RTX 4070 Ti SUPER OC
Hi, Since the Season 4 update (July 21), I get frequent micro-freezes / mini-rollbacks (less than 1 second, as if the game briefly rewinds my position) only on the new map. All the other maps run perfectly smooth. It happens even on low-ping servers (50-60 ms), so it's not a latency issue on my end. Here is a video clip of the micro-freezes and FPS drops Important detail: I just noticed the bug is directly linked to water. At the start of a round, when I spawn far from the water, everything is smooth, no freezing. It's as soon as I get close to the water that the micro-freezes start appearing. The closer I am to the water, the more it freezes. My setup: - GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER OC 16GB (Gigabyte Aero) - Game Ready driver 610.74 - CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D - RAM: 32 GB DDR4 3600 (DOCP enabled) - Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING WIFI II (stable BIOS 3636) - OS: Windows 11 Pro I also get, more rarely, big freezes lasting around ten seconds, on any map but mostly on Blackwell Fields and Golmud Railway. During the freeze, the image stays frozen and the overlay "sim" value stays normal. It's when the game "resumes" that the sim drops to 0 and everything fast-forwards to catch up to the present time. The CPU and GPU keep running normally the whole time. It looks like a simulation/streaming stall, not a GPU or FPS problem. Here is a clip from the video showing the 10-second freezes I can provide a DxDiag or video clips if needed. Is anyone else seeing this specifically on the new map (the micro-stutters)? Any official word on a fix?346Views5likes9CommentsThe Game Completely Destroys My Drivers
I got back onto the game last week after an extended absence and a new computer. I played for hours and then the next day when I opened the game it got to the menu, I could move around and then without warning my monitors shut off and I had to power off my PC to restore control. Then to my horror the drivers are completely **bleep**, the adapter is off in Device Manager with an error code 31 from memory, and so for the past few days I've been in a loop of following advice and getting mixed results. The following is usually what happens, though it has escalated to going to hell immediately after the game compiles/verifies it's shaders and goes to the menu: - Launch Game (After reinstalling drivers.) - Compile/Verify Shaders - Go To Main Menu - A Few Minutes Pass (Seemingly no relation to 3D rendering at all, it dies regardless.) - Both monitors turn off and report no signal. (GPU is still on and sitting fine.) - The sound still works for a minute or so. - I have to power off the computer. - Turn it back on. - GPU is off and cannot be turned on in Device Manager. (Error 31, I think.) - Go to safe mode. - DDU. - Reinstall latest AMD drivers. (Factory Reset) - LoadLibrary 87 failure. - Reinstall them again. - Give up and play something else. (Specs) 9950x3D RX 9070XT DDR5 6000/28 (With EXPO) x870e Motherboard 64-bit Windows 10 What I Have Tried - Fresh Driver Installs With and Without Adrenalin - Turning Off All The Extra AMD **bleep** On Battlefield 6 - Turning Off FSR In Game - Nuking My Drivers With DDU and with AMD Cleanup Utility - Verifying The Game Files - Deleting the contents of appdata/local/Battlefield 6 - Banning Windows from updating my drivers. - Trying to install the 26.3.1 drivers that supposedly work (And failing because AMD requires an internet connection and crammed the 26.6.4 drivers in that weren't working instead.) - Removing my undervolt (It doesn't work for long anyway, lost the silicon lottery.) - The Adrenalin-induced auto Overclock has seemingly disappeared at some point anyway. The Only Thing That Worked (Once): When I deleted the contents of appdata/local/Battlefield 6 and fully reinstalled ONLY the 26.7.1 AMD Drivers (The most recent ones.) with no Adrenalin I could load into a game and all was good. I turn it off and go play something else with my friends, then once I come back onto BF6, the game explodes again and I try the usual, it still explodes and I give up and go write a forum thread. I'm tweaking tf out. Help me, I just want to play this godforsaken game I paid over a hundred dollars for on my computer I bought half to play it. Why is this still broken as **bleep** almost a year from release?Crashing no error message during blackscreen when loading/leaving matches
Hello I have been getting random crashing to desktop since the update on Tuesday. Interestingly it is only when joining of leaving a match. every single crash dump that It leaves is FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: INVALID_POINTER_WRITE_c0000005_bf6.exe!Unknown bf6!isGlimpseEnabled+65b60f Happening with newest and older rollback AMD drivers. Just a blackscreen when loading then crash to desktop. Interestingly a somewhat consistent workaround I have found is if you see a blackscreen when loading for too long you can ALT TAB out and back in and then the match loads perfectly fine with no crashing whatsoever. Hopefully an EA community manager or Dev employee sees this as this is extremely strange behavior. Also, I have tried all the various common troubleshooting steps Updating BIOS DDU and reinstalling GPU DRIVERS Uninstalling and reinstalling CHIPSET DRIVERS Uninstalling and reinstalling the entire games as well as Verifying game files And lastly repairing and reinstalling Javelin anticheat I also attached the crashdump for debugging purposes. Please help me and others who are dealing with this issue as it would be greatly appreciated!10Views0likes0CommentsUpdate Broke The Game “Xbox Freezing”
Update: 07/28/26 -Game hasn’t frozen in the last two days that I played. -Problem appears to be resolved Update: 07/20/26 -11 Days Since This Problem was Finally Acknowledged by EA -Problem Persists -Froze Mid-Game Six Times Today -Game is Still Unplayable for a Majority of Xbox Players Subject: Countless Xbox players are freezing mid game on both Redsec and multiplayer. Issue is directly related to the EA Battlefield 6 Party, as this does not happen while solo queueing. Game freezes then after 30-40 seconds the user is dashboarded to the Xbox Home Screen. I went so far as to uninstall the game, clear my cache, move every other game to my external hard drive, reinstall the game and it still freezes on both Multiplayer and Redsec. After running some tests, it appears the problem persists when in an EA Battlefield 6 party with friends. I’ve been able to Solo Queue Redsec and Multiplayer with no issues.Solved1.7KViews16likes94CommentsGame freezes when it brings up the spawn screen
Any time I navigate to the main spawn screen - be it after dieing, coming back from loadouts, etc. - the game freezes for a solid second. The game completely locks up, no network packets are sent or processed, my performance graphs all show the hit. This never happend before the Season 3 patch.612Views3likes22Comments
