Game Crashing With Unknown Error 0:85009S
Hi everyone, A couple of days ago I decided to do a clean install of Windows 11 and installed all the necessary drivers. When I install and play Battlefield 6, after about 5 minutes the game kicks me out of the session with the error code “Unknown Error 0:85009S.” This is getting really frustrating because I’ve tried pretty much every suggestion I’ve found from other users, and nothing has worked so far. Here’s a list of what I’ve already tried: Clean install of Windows 11 Clean install of Windows 10 Clean install of Windows 11 LTSC Restarting my internet router Using my phone’s internet connection Clean boot via MSCONFIG Reinstalling Javelin Running both BF6 and Javelin as administrator Flushing DNS Changing DNS servers Disconnecting peripherals Allowing BF6 and Javelin through the firewall Opening ports on my router I’d really appreciate any help. I used to play without any issues, but since around Saturday, the 28th I haven’t been able to stay in-game for more than 5 minutes before getting kicked (cm edit - updated title for vis)6KViews11likes134CommentsDirectX Error (DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_

I am writing this to express my deep frustration regarding the current state of Middle East servers. It is completely unacceptable for a AAA title like Battlefield to ignore an entire region for this long. We are constantly being rerouted to European servers with unplayable latency (90ms+), which ruins the competitive integrity of the game. Many of us have supported this franchise for years, yet we feel like second-class citizens. We need a permanent solution, preferably by hosting stable servers in Riyadh or ensuring the existing infrastructure in the Gulf is actually functional. Please address this issue immediately; we just want to play the game we paid for with a fair connectionDuring a match, conquest, on PC, I keep dropping back to the lobby
This started a few days ago. I keep getting dropped back to the lobby randomly. I finish 1 out of 5 games and just quit because I cannot play the game. I have reset all my settings, router, DNS, called by ISP all done. I keep just randomly dropping out of games and sent back to the main screen. this game is unplayable.30Views0likes1CommentBF6 crashing and causing PC to restart
I'm having a problem where every single time I enter into a match I'm able to play for maybe 30 seconds and then my entire computer crashes and forces a restart. I played the beta in august and had absolutely 0 issues with running the game, but now the game releases and this happens. Is anyone else experiencing this? Please fix this EA.Solved34KViews73likes433CommentsBF6 Full system freeze/lockup. NO CTD, black screen, or BSOD.
A few days ago I tried firing up BF6 after not playing since December 2025, and I've encountered constant full-system PC freezes. BF6 ran perfectly fine without any crashing prior to my hiatus. I am unable to complete a single match, and the freezes typically occur within minutes of a match, or even at the loadout firing range. When the freezes occur, audio stops completely (no looping audio), whatever is on my monitor at the time is frozen, and the PC does not respond to any input from the keyboard or mouse (num lock toggle light does not toggle). The PC stays this way until I hold the power button to perform a hard restart. I can leave it like this for minutes and nothing occurs. System temps remain perfectly cool even when the lockup occurs. I've taken a considerable number of steps to try and resolve this issue. In no particular order: Disabling MFG Re-enabling MFG Disabling XMP Re-enabling XMP Removing my graphics card undervolt and returning the GPU settings to default in MSi Afterburner Re-activating my undervolt. Dropping the settings all the way to low in the game Trying to play the game full screen instead of borderless window Video driver rollback Video driver update Full video driver removal via DDU in safe mode without networking, followed by a video driver clean install with a pre-downloaded Game-ready WHQL-certified Nvidia driver directly from Nvidia's website (latest version) while my ethernet cable was unplugged and wifi was disabled. This also includes total removal of the Nvidia app and I've tried the game before reinstalling said Nvidia app as well as after it's been reinstalled. Overriding exploit protections for both the game executable and Javelin 2 clean installs of the game and Javelin Clearing the shader cache Boosting the heck out of my fan speeds Disabling the Realtek PCIe 5GbE adapter on the motherboard (suspected a driver conflict) Updating BIOS to the latest version Setting ALL BIOS settings to default Disabling ALL of my hardware monitor software Disabling ALL overlay software Setting a static image to the MSi Dynamic Dashboard III AND turning the LCD off (More on this below) Uninstalling NoMachine (suspected virtual USB devices) Disabling/fully quitting Cisco AnyConnect (It wasn't in use while I played but I still wanted to be sure) Uninstalling the Oculus software (multiple errors in event viewer pointed to the Oculus service. Obviously this was not the cause because I'm writing this message). Moving the install folder to a non-boot drive Moving the install back to my C drive Yes, secure boot is enabled. None of these resolved the issue. Event viewer's only critical errors are Event ID 41 (Kernel-Power), which occurs because I'm holding down the power button to do a hard reset. No other damning evidence in the event-viewer. System specs: Windows 11 Home version 25H2 MSi MEG X870E Godlike AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D (No OC) 64GB G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5 RAM @ 6400MT/s (when A-XMP is enabled) (This memory IS on the motherboard QVL and I am NOT mixing kits) MSI RTX 5090 Vanguard SOC, normally running an undervolt + 200MHz memory clock boost. Like I said I've tried the game after disabling the undervolt and memory clock boost. Seasonic Prime TX-1600 3.1 ATX 5.1, with the GPU connected using the native 12V-2x6 with sense wires. Installed on a Samsung 990 Evo Plus, and a 990 Evo Pro. Both report good drive health in Samsung Magician. Regarding the note about the Dynamic Dashboard III, there was a fairly common issue with this motherboard where the Dynamic Dashboard would cause intermittent USB disconnects unless the image was set to static and the LCD was off. For many people (including myself) this ended up being resolved when they released a firmware recovery tool in September last year, and I haven't had the issue since. I only mention it because when I perform the hard resets the Dynamic Dashboard III's display remains on, regardless of if I'm using it as a system monitor, static image, or short animated .gif of my parrot bobbing her head. I should also note that BF6 is the literal only game this occurs in. I can run War Thunder, Cyberpunk 2077, Skyrim, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, FFXIV, MechWarrior 5 Clans, Monster Hunter Wilds, and more all at max settings with all the RTX bells and whistles and at 4K and they run with no issues for as long as I want to play them. Yes, I know none of these are EA games. I'm merely including them to try and highlight that the issue is specific to BF6. Any insight would be appreciated, but please read all of the steps I've taken first. I didn't write all of these details only to be asked if I've tried disabling my overclock or updating my BIOS.518Views0likes26CommentsConnection Issue???
I'm having lagging and rubberbanding issues. Also my game for some reason doesn't render graphics fully until about 2 minutes into the game (on PC). I will often spawn into the match (RedSec), fully skipping the helicopter scene and even the jump only coming into the game when my character has fully landed. All the while not being able to see my gun or reticle once I pick one up. Totally lost on what to do to fix these issues. I really love this game, but this is getting out of hand. Seems like every night it's something else. Gets annoying fast. Any help would be much appreciated.20Views0likes0CommentsKeyboard and Mouse stop working
This seems to be a rampant issue and only with BF6. Middle of the game keyboard and/or mouse will no longer respond. You can ctr, alt , delete and do anything else you want on a PC but you cant interact with anything within BF6. So you end up having to close BF6 and start again. This is a CONSTANT problem with BF6 and happens every other game and ONLY with BF6. Why is this being ignored by EA and the BF6 staff? Looking at older discussions this seems to be an off and on again problem for BF since the first game released. I am pretty frustrated now has this is occurring WAY to often! I have verified game files via STEAM I have verified my power supply is adequate I have removed all bluetooth devices I have unplugged ALL usbs except what is needed for game I have tried unplugging keyboard and mouse and plugging them back in to shake lose. (NOTHING) AND the only thing having this problem is BF6.324Views6likes4Comments
