Controls Displayed on Screen
Just updated the sims 4 on my pc/laptop and now it’s displaying the controls on the left side. I have not messed with any settings at all, I even double checked to make sure I didn’t accidentally change anything and everything is still the same settings I’ve had. I tried repairing the game, removing mods/turning off mods and it still shows up. I googled to see if I maybe I did turn on some accessibility setting and nothing shows up for me to enable/disable in my own game settings. Just kind of bothered by it cause it quite literally is on my screen blocking my game. Oh and it disappears when I open the options menu and appears again when I resume my gameplay. The issues that I'm having have brought me to the brink of insanity.
Instead of complaining, I'm just going to list the issues I have and pray to God that somebody has a solution. FPS usually locked to 30 until I switch the Global Graphics preset to Ultra. After I manage to unlock my FPS, there is insane input lag and frame drops, even on low settings. Animations in-game look like they're in slow-mo. Can't set refresh rate higher than 119hz on native resolution (2560x1440), but can set it to a wide range of options at a lower resolution. I've been trying to fix this BS for hours at this point, please help me. I'll attach a short video showcasing the bugs. (Also, my brother with a completely identical computer, monitor, and settings has absolutely zero issues). Specs: Geforce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU Intel i5 8GB RAM ~120GB free storage
[XB/PS] Console crashing after update 2.13
I ran the update for Xbox today 6/18/25 and every time my sim leaves the lot and returns the games crashes - no mods as it is Xbox - has occurred about 5 times today every time is after my sim visits another lot and comes back to their lot about 3-5 minutes of playing with a different household member the game crashes. Also it keeps resetting my game settings turning back on tutorials and game play overlays and turning back on the music I have turned off in build mode and home screen have most packs except for For Rent, Lovestruck, Growing together, High School Years and Seasons Note from EA_Solaire: Hi all, If you're playing on PlayStation could you please share your save file (instructions here: [INFORMATION] How to Send User Files to The Sims 4 Team) to help us investigate into this further? Sims constantly doing mischief
There are so many sims now that behave mischievously even though they don't have a single negative trait!!! I hate this so much because I know every interaction can't be perfect but it's so annoying when you leave one of your sims unattended and they are actively sabotaging every relationship - including those with family members. Same with random sims. There are so many of them that do mischievous stuff and make your sims embarrassed or angry randomly. It's just way to common and I don't think sims should behave mischievously unless they have already built a negative relationship with another sim or have the trait like evil or mean (any negative ones). This has been a problem for too long!!😒 PS: I don't use Mods at all. Note by crinrict There's a few threads that are similar so please make sure that you use the correct one for upvoting. This is infuriating man. THIS STILL HAPPENS. YOU MARKING A LIL THREAD AS SOLVED DOESNT MEAN THIS IS SOLVED. I never had that lil skate cpt thing man so stop with that, it aint that. Me and the other ppl having this problem are SCREAMING at thier monitor at you because it's still not fixed, And you ignore their cries for help because u think u solved the problem. You didnt. I can only play the game for 5 minutes like clockwork, when your servers shoot me out of a cannon to the main menu here it wont let me back in until I close and reopen the game. 15 years. Fix it man, seriously.
