EA App Malfunctioning and Sims 4 Crashing
If I can even get my EA to launch without it telling me multiple times that it cannot connect to the servers, my Sims 4 game will last for less than five minutes before crashing. I do not have any mods nor CC, and I have cleared my cache. I have restarted my laptop twice now, and ran the App Recovery option on the EA app. I have no idea what is going on and I am unbelievably frustrated.
One of the worst desktop applications I've ever seen
As a software developer, I don't remember the last time I've seen such a horrendous application. The amount of bugs I get weekly is absolutely mind blowing. I encounter new ones every week. On average, I have to restart the app at least 2-3 times before it successfully launches a game. Some days I'll try 10+ times and waste over an hour of my time to end up not even being able to play a single game. What's crazy is that it's been like this for over a year now, and not only has it not improved, it's actually gotten worse. I'm not usually the type to leave reviews, but I really had to take the time to leave this one. Seriously, what the hell is the dev team doing?Can't launch games, instantly closes back to EA app with no error.
God, honestly. Don't even know why I'm writing this, not like the company worth literal billions, worth more than my entire ancestry is going to do a thing about it. Three years, not three months, not three weeks, not three days. Three, **bleep** years. You guys have had the exact same issue for three years, and so help me god if one person that replies to this tells me to explain more into what's happening I am going to Mike Tyson my monitor with a strength incomprehensible to humankind. I will give you the version which everybody else that has reported this has had. I installed a game, PGA Tour because I pay for EA play and I was like, I might as well get my money's worth. Hadn't used the app in like five months because of the exact bug so I completely forgot about it. Went to launch the game, got literal war flashbacks. I tried to start the game, I was excited. It says "Launching game" Oh I'm so happy, I'm gonna get to play PGA Tour! Then, the launching game goes away, ea app closes. THEN IMMEDIATELY OPENS AGAIN, NOT LAUNCHING THE GAME. Literal mental warfare ensues. I start remembering and I'm literally fighting every demon the world has ever seen. It's not like this is an uncommon bug, there is HUNDREDS, MAYBE THOUSANDS, throughout the last THREE YEARS, of this EXACT BUG. I fixed it once the first time I got it, I had to do some Jerry Rigged bs, WHICH I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO BECAUSE IT'S JUST LAUNCHING A GAME, AND THEN YOU GUYS TOOK THAT POST DOWN. "Oh will you show us your DXDIG" Or whatever it's called. NO, I won't. I have before. Did nothing, literally just started ghosting me on my own post. Do you guys get paid for the work you do? Every thing you suggest will "Help" is written down on your copy and paste garbage sheet that you guys use. Then when that runs out of things, YOU JUST GHOST EVERYBODY. I mean, I can get a week of an issue in the launcher, MAYBE even a month depending. BUT THREE YEARS? You money grabbing sad sacks could care less about the people who have actual issues and only decide to focus on whatever will get you the most money. You could have two hundred people complaining about the same issue, and because Bateson is still spending ten grand a week on EA FC, that's all you care about. Also, it's not even just PGA. It's EA FC, it's Madden, man I installed seven different games, SIX OF THEM DIDN'T WORK. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? GENUINELY. DID I SPEND ENOUGH MONEY THIS YEAR ON EA FC? I have tried EVERY possible fix on EVERY post I could find. EVEN ONES IN A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE I TRANSLATED THEM. This was my message, can't wait for copy and pasted garbage!PC Games Madden 25 and EA FC 25 will not start.
When I try to load both of these games, the splash screen will come up, the bar will jump to the end and then the EA desktop app will just reopen with the game never launching. I only just bought Madden and have not been able to start it yet. I have >300 hours in FC25 and this is the first time I've noticed it with this game. I've tried: Reinstalling both game and EA app Clearing EA App Cache Repairing files Uninstalling EA anticheat to prompt it to reinstall Nothing has worked so far.
EA App and game going offline
Over the past few years I have had issues when playing Sims 4, since the new EA app came out. Quite often during gameplay I get the message that the app has gone offline. It isn't an internet issue, this has occured with different internet providers and I have ran diagnostics on it. During gameplay with the quests through the game, I can't redeem any of the event prizes, even when it stated I am online.App not opening
Hi everyone, for the past 2 days, my EA app has been refusing to open. It will load like its opening, then the log in screen will show up for 5 seconds before an error comes up for about 10 seconds then closes. (I've attached a screenshot - this comes up even when I try to open errorreporter, so i cant even talk with the EA team). I've redownloaded EA, restarted the app and my laptop, I've tried all the suggestions that other sites have told me to do. Please help!!
Error Code 105
This only started happening a couple of days ago, and searching the reported bugs has shown me nothing. When I go online within the gallery within The Sims 4 and try to see everything others have uploaded, I get a message saying I'm offline and need to connect. To which I click connect and go online. However, once I've done this, the game freezes and then the EA launcher starts flashing with the following error (see attachments). My game stays on but runs very slow and won't show anything other than what I have saved to my gallery. This happens no matter if I go to the gallery via build & buy or if I just go to the gallery via the start up screen. This has never happened before so I'm unsure how to fix it.
***POTENTIAL FIX FOR EA APP PREPARING TO LAUNCH***
I've just gotten off live support for the second time and the advisor has given me this recommendation, I can confirm that it has solved my issue and I am able to launch the game as normal. Solution below. For people using EA app try this - Create a new admin user for windows and launch EA app (your games and EA App should still be installed depending on which drive you installed them on) - your game should launch and play as normal. Once this is done you can go back to your main account and launch from there. It may ask you to choose a save point (Be it local or cloud save) I *don't* think it matters which BUT I did click local save because people are having issues with one drive. After this the game should launch fine. If it doesn't you may need to contact EA support.
