Permanent Buffs Disappearing: Workaround found
If you are an OCD completionist like me, it has been driving you absolutely nuts to know that the buffs from valuables (+25 Health, +1% Damage, +1% Defense, +1% Resistance, etc...) are lost upon reload / exiting the game. The behavior seems to be better on all platforms as of the latest patch, but many players, including myself, have continued to have problems with it. I believe I have found a reliable workaround on Steam Patch 3 -- i'd be curious to know what those who play on other platforms can confirm of this workaround as well. Essentially loading in from a fresh session (i.e. launching the game), you will never have any of the benefits shown in the character menu from valuables previously purchased, despite the items themselves no longer being sold because it remembers you bought them. Even reloading a save from the menu doesn't restore them. So how do you reliably restore them for each session? Die. That's right,DIE, and then select Load Last Save. For whatever reason. loading through this method instead of through the pause menu restores the buffs and they will then persist the entire session, even if you reload Check your character menu before and after you die, I have been testing since discovering this tonight and it appears to work every single time. Persistence pays off. Best of luck in Thedas!PS5 Pro Hair Rendering Issues
hello, i have been everywhere, forums, discord, reddit you name it. i have searched everywhere high and low on this issue. this issue is on the PS5 Pro version of Dragon Age Veilgaurd, as well as i found out it’s on different games aswell for other players. currently this rendering issue with the hair is causing me not being able to play this game due the static pop in pixelated mess that is triggered when the hair moves. i can tell immediately that the ps5 pro is a powerful lil guy, and when the hair isn’t moving and just the skin texture and world environments are so goood. once the hair moves in game and character creator that static, pixelated hair render is the issue. it’s in both performance and fidelity modes. i have played with every setting i can imagine that’s available aswell to see if i can fix it. no luck. this is causing me such gaming issues where i cant play but a few hours at a time because it gives me motion sickness from the hair. people have said it could be either something sony needs to fix or bioware/ea so i’m gonna try everywhere to get to the bottom of this. [here’s a thread of the evidence] https://bsky.app/profile/thecharmander.bsky.social/post/3lbljp54jjc2b also i’m providing evidence down below! please any help will be appreciated. it’s preventing me to play the game and this game is 10/10 to me already. thanks. -CharliePermanent buff still not working with new patch?
So, with the new Patch to PS5, Patch 1.000.004, there are still people that the permanent buffs disappear for. It seems like the bug is happening randomly, for some on other platforms the buffs are gone when they starts up the game, but reactivate after some time(this is on Steam, PC), haven’t encountered this on PS5 I got lucky with this Patch on PS5, Patch 1.000.004, but I’m still keeping my eyes open on my Rooks stats in case they disappear again. Keep writing here, or any discussion regarding the buffs, if your Buffs are disappearing still after each Patch, cause that means they can identify each issue that causes this bug, over every platform!!! Again, this is on PS5(it has started to work for me, keeping my eyes on it though), but it’s still happening over multiple platforms it seamsPoison mushrooms in Arlathan moved?
Don’t know if this is an issue/bug/glitch, but it looks like the poisonous mushrooms that deals necrotic damage have moved? They used to be by the Aravel, within the poison cloud, but have now moved, so they are kind of in the water a little bit away from the Aravel, they moved more to the left of it. They still work when I move into or hit them, so they still do what they do, just don’t know if this is supposed to happen later in the game or not? This is on PS5 with Patch 1.000.003. Currently on Patch 1.000.004 and the mushrooms are still moved but the gas is still in the old spotFaction Strength Gain? The Mourn Watch & The Veil Jumpers, PS5
Don’t know if this is an issue/bug or not, maybe this just wasn’t implemented. When you go around the Necropolis and fix things in regards to the restless spirits and undead, you can see the Necropolis calm down and people returning to the Necropolis Halls, but you don’t gain any Faction Strength. These aren’t marked quests, it’s things you find as you explore the Necropolis, but should you be able to agin Faction Strength from those actions? Cause you can find some hidden Quests/Mysteries in Arlathan Forest and gain Faction Strength for the Veil Jumpers for some of them. Just wondering if this is supposed to be the same for the Mourn Watchers when you deal with the restless spirits and undead in the Necropolis? I am playing on PS5 and the current patch is Patch 1.000.004Rook gets stuck doing heavy attacks over & over & over indefinitely.
Rook gets stuck doing heavy attacks over & over & over indefinitely. It doesn't stop unless I hit jump. Even after I jump it will start all over again if I hit any action button, even if I hit tab to access companion abilities. It will go on indefinitely if I let it. Even if I restart a saved game it instantly starts heavy attacks once the game loads. I have to completely shut down to windows desktop and completely restart the game with steam to get it to stop, and even then it eventually starts to do it again. This completely ruins all combat combat. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This completely ruins the game for me. Thanks!Rogue skill issues
Sorry for the redundant postings. I've realized that I posted in the wrong section. I discovered some problems and hope somebody helps me with this if something similar happens to others and whether these are some kind of bugs or something I'm missing or messed up with. Below are the bugs: One of the upgrade skills in 'Burst' part, 'Physical Strikes' (Strike Abilities now deal Physical damage.). Most Strike abilities in the rogue class deal necrotic damage, for instance, the staple Strike Abilities 'A Thousand Cuts'. So, my question is whether this ability now deals both physical damage and necrotic damage? If it deals both, then when I applied it on those resistant to necrotic dmg enemy, why the enemy barely take any damage and seem to pop out 'resistant'. Or Can anybody enlighten me on how does it work with this upgrade? This one regarding Harding's ability. 'Heavy draw' has one upgrade 'Overpower' that said 'Detonation causes the Overwhelmed effect to be permanent". So theoretically, once detonated, the Overwhelmed effect will be permanent. I tried it and it did become permanent and " Overwhelmed' symbol showed up in the enemy health bar. However, when I tried it with 'Explosive dagger' that the critical condition was overwhelmed, it doesn't apply critical damage as same as if I manually applied Overwhelm first. Anyone have this problem too?
