A Change on the Wind: Can’t Continue
Hello! I’m playing on the PS5. 25 hours of game time. I just finished the Something Wrong quest in the Hossberg Wetlands and I’m supposed to head back to The Lighthouse. I guess a cutscene with Davrin is suppose to trigger and the story continues but instead I can just aimlessly walk around with nothing triggering. Can’t fast travel or choose another quest either. I reloaded all my recent autosaves and the same thing happens every time. I have one manual save from eight hours ago but I’d hate to redo everything I’ve already accomplished. Has this happened to anyone else/know of a fix? Thank you for your time!Unable To Complete Regrets of The Dread Wolf
It's been a month, many of us were fans, because we bought Veilguard day1! Because despite all the negativity, we believed in this game. It's been a month, and I still can't complete regrets of the dread wolf, another patch, another day of me getting my hopes up. I can't beay the game, and I can't even check the forums looking for a fix without somebody spoiling how the game ends. This is not acceptable, I want my money back, because I spent $70 on an immersive story, but that's been ruined for me, walmart won't take the game back, ea told me to try walmart again. This is ridiculous, they have spit in my face, a diehard fan, once again! Fix regrets of the dread wolf, fix regrets of the dread wolf, fix regrets of the dread wolf, fix regrets of the dread wolf..... do you get it yet? Fix the game, this is unfairCrashing During Cut Scenes
Hello Rooks, We've noticed reports of Dragon Age: The Veilguard crashing during cut scenes. This issue seems to occur across various points in the game and has been highlighted in community discussions, such as this Steam thread. To help us pinpoint and resolve the issue, we need your assistance. If you're encountering this problem, please upload your save files to this thread. When uploading, include the following details to help us better understand the issue: Where: Specify the exact cut scene or location where the crash occurs (e.g., after completing a quest, during a specific dialogue, etc.) When: Let us know if the crash happens consistently at the same point or if it seems random. How: Share any actions leading up to the crash (e.g., interacting with a specific NPC, entering an area, etc.). This issue is occurring on PC through Steam, so be sure to also include: Your PC specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, operating system, etc.). Any mods or third-party tools you're using, if applicable. Your save files and details will greatly help us resolve this issue faster. Thank you for your support and cooperation!Permanent Buffs Disappearing: Workaround found
If you are an OCD completionist like me, it has been driving you absolutely nuts to know that the buffs from valuables (+25 Health, +1% Damage, +1% Defense, +1% Resistance, etc...) are lost upon reload / exiting the game. The behavior seems to be better on all platforms as of the latest patch, but many players, including myself, have continued to have problems with it. I believe I have found a reliable workaround on Steam Patch 3 -- i'd be curious to know what those who play on other platforms can confirm of this workaround as well. Essentially loading in from a fresh session (i.e. launching the game), you will never have any of the benefits shown in the character menu from valuables previously purchased, despite the items themselves no longer being sold because it remembers you bought them. Even reloading a save from the menu doesn't restore them. So how do you reliably restore them for each session? Die. That's right,DIE, and then select Load Last Save. For whatever reason. loading through this method instead of through the pause menu restores the buffs and they will then persist the entire session, even if you reload Check your character menu before and after you die, I have been testing since discovering this tonight and it appears to work every single time. Persistence pays off. Best of luck in Thedas!Bug on fire and ice main story quest cant progress main story.
After completing the fire and ice battle between the dragons theres a cut scene between me, the wardens and crows. But then I'm sent straight to the lighthouse after and its acting like I haven't completed the quest for fire and ice. I cant progress through the main story as no new quests show up it wont allow me to fast travel saying I cant because I have an "active quest" even tho its been completed. I've tried going back and doing the quest on a later save still does the same thing.Companion screen rotation lag & lag when running?
Don’t know if anyone has encountered this yet After the update on PS5, Patch 1.000.005, so did I notice a slight lag/choppiness went rotating my Companions/Characters in the Companion/Character screen in the menu. It’s only slightly so you it’s either or if you notice it or not Also noticed a weird lag when running, sometimes Rook “lands” in a different spot than in the spot where they stopped running. Also the running looked a bit laggy/wonky Noticed this only when I was in the Lighthouse, haven’t seem this happen elsewhere within the game This is on PS5 with Patch 1.000.005 Don’t know if it has happened on PC or XboxPS5 Pro Hair Rendering Issues
hello, i have been everywhere, forums, discord, reddit you name it. i have searched everywhere high and low on this issue. this issue is on the PS5 Pro version of Dragon Age Veilgaurd, as well as i found out it’s on different games aswell for other players. currently this rendering issue with the hair is causing me not being able to play this game due the static pop in pixelated mess that is triggered when the hair moves. i can tell immediately that the ps5 pro is a powerful lil guy, and when the hair isn’t moving and just the skin texture and world environments are so goood. once the hair moves in game and character creator that static, pixelated hair render is the issue. it’s in both performance and fidelity modes. i have played with every setting i can imagine that’s available aswell to see if i can fix it. no luck. this is causing me such gaming issues where i cant play but a few hours at a time because it gives me motion sickness from the hair. people have said it could be either something sony needs to fix or bioware/ea so i’m gonna try everywhere to get to the bottom of this. [here’s a thread of the evidence] https://bsky.app/profile/thecharmander.bsky.social/post/3lbljp54jjc2b also i’m providing evidence down below! please any help will be appreciated. it’s preventing me to play the game and this game is 10/10 to me already. thanks. -CharlieHealing potions no longer work since the most recent patch
After updating the game with Patch 4, healing potions only replenish a tiny portion of health. It takes 4 potions to completely refill my health bar. Companion healing abilities only work some of the time. I have not changed any of my gear. I’m also getting an animation with purple scorch marks when I use a potion. Other posts that I’ve seen indicate this could be related to an amulet called the Burden. I have this in my inventory but have never equipped it. I tried equipping it and then changing to something else but the issue persists. I also tried a number of old save files and the issue seems to stop happening if I reload a save from prior to the Seige at Weisshaupt. I’m not willing to go that far back and redo 20+ hours of gameplay. How can I fix this issue? This bug makes the game almost unplayable and definitely unenjoyable.
