Lost Saved Games, Replaced with Old Files??
An auto-update on Sims 4 today caused an initialization error that I had to troubleshoot, as it wouldn't let me open the game at all. After trying some troubleshooting, I was able to open the game again, but it's completely lost my most recent saved files, played as recently as yesterday. However, it recovered old files that I thought I had lost, from a separate device that crashed over a year ago. I don't know how those files would even be on this new device, other than some automatic cloud saving that I'm not skilled enough to know that I even had set up. I'm fairly sure I screwed up when I was transferring my EA folder from Documents into Desktop; I believe it asked me about replacing some files with the same name, though I can't recall exactly. I didn't know what I was doing, and now I'm afraid my newest save files are lost forever. They're not in my Recycle Bin. I've tried so much troubleshooting at this point, and am hoping I can get on a live call with EA support or Geek Squad to help ASAP. But I figured I'd ask here too. It seems unlikely that the files could be completely lost, since somehow I'm able to accidentally recover files that I thought were lost over a year ago. How can I get my most recent saved game back up and running??Best affordable gaming laptop for the sims 4?
I know this probably gets asked a lot, but I genuinely don’t know what gaming laptop to get (I do not have space for a full pc). I’m not an expert on the subject, so I don’t know what RAM is and how much you need of it, etc. I’ve asked around but I never get clear answers and i feel like i just need someone to give me a link and be like “this is what you are looking for, get it.” What i’m looking for: A gaming laptop that can support almost every Pack, kit, tons of mods, and cc. Price: cheapest it can get. I am willing to go up to 800 something, but i would like it if it’s around 700 something or even cheaper. Graphics: Medium to high. I been setting my eye on ASUS TUF A15 | R5 RTX3050, or MSI A15, but i’m debating on it since i would like to get the laptop from Best buy instead of Amazon, but beggars can’t be choosers. Hi everyone, I'm really confused because sims 4 game doesn't seem to "find" my laptop graphics card. How can I fix this? I checked graphics settings for Sims 4 & the correct graphics card is listed.. Please help! this has been a problem for a while, here is all what i did but the problem persisted: updated my sims game, it is the latest version now checked my drivers, all up to date repaired and reinstalled the game, deleted cache updated mods, removed a few others played with no mods fully reset my game uninstalled a few expansion packs set all my graphic options as low, including resolution, textures, and laptop mode tried every possible solution, but my game still seems to crash, specifically when im scrolling from one room to the other or fast shifting my camera from one sim to the other. It freezes for a few seconds then force closes entirely here are my device information: Windows 11 HP envy laptop Intel IRIS(XE) graphics intel core i7 16gb ram, 1TB storage directX12 i used to have a laptop with the exact same requirements just less storage and ram and the game worked perfectly on it, so at this point im not sure what im missing This started to happen when sims rolled out the life and death quests Any help appreciated Thanks!What laptop to buy
Hi I’m looking at buying a laptop solely to play the sims 4 and was wondering what laptop with run it on a budget of £300 I’ve seen one for £329 which is the highest I can go I’m really not fussed on how fast the game runs just as long as I can play it any advice would be kindly appreciated as I’m hopeless with this kind of stuff as used to play it on a desktopAffordable laptop to run The Sims 4 on High - Ultra Graphics with reshade.
Hi, I'm looking for a laptop that will be able to run the sims 4 on high medium to high ultra graphics with reshade and cc plus mods and most of the add on packs. Below I attached 3 laptops I am considering, but would like to have someone who has experience or knowledge with the specs, most importantly the graphics card, to let me know whether the laptops below will be able to run the sims on the graphics settings I mentioned. A- NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3050 6GB, B- NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4060 6GB, C- INTEL UHD GRAPHICS. My budget is limited, I would also like to use this laptop for my university work. Budget would be R22 000/$824-ish. Please note that I am in South Africa, and prices for our gaming laptops are usually more expensive than they would be in the UK/US.
sims 4 crashes my pc, constantly crashing
i'm not sure where else to ask for some advice on this issue, and i may need guidance on trying to figure out how to hopefully resolve this. the issue: sims 4 will crash at random times, or even crash/blue screen my pc. my pc is brand new cyberpowerpc that is meant for gaming. i only have these issues when playing sims 4, so i figured it may be a direct cause. this happens with or without mods/cc. i have tried clean reinstalls, new saves, and even reinstalling my graphics drivers. my current graphics driver is NVIDIA's geforce game ready driver version 577.00 and it is up to date. i also checked my computer for ram issues, additional driver updates, and for repairs... everything seemed fine but i could be missing something. sims 4 is also "optimized" in the graphic driver's settings, but unsure if i need to adjust something else.
Game not loading, laggning or crashing - so tired of this!
I am so tired of The Sims not working correctly. Is the game not supposed to work with CC and mods? I have a few scenarios happening to me: The gamle launches and I get to the loading screen, then it just freezes The gamle launches and I get to the start page of the game. Here there's always adds you have to close to get to your game. When I close the first add window the game freezes. Sometimes the game starts after a 10 min freeze and sometimes it keeps on freezing. Game launches and after the absout 10 min gamleplay the game crashes. While in the game, switching from build mode to all the furniture takes forever to load. I'm prob missing somthing but the game just doesn't work as it should. I keep my mods and CC updated with Curse Froge but this doesn't seem to help. Please, if you have any idéas on what to do to get the game to work again let me know.
