New sims 3 download on PC, Error message: a serious error has occurred...
just downloaded the sims 3 on my pc from EA, got the starter pack from Xbox ultimate/ea play but after downloading, and trying to launch (with and without dlc selected) the game will not load. No saves at all attached. Error Message is : "A serious error has occurred while loading ___ it is strongly recommended that you restart the application". I also paused sync on onedrive to see if that was the issue too, didn't work. but maybe I need to restart the pc after doing that and clearing cache? Update: I have restarted pc. nothing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled sims 3, not on one drive and instead on C:, I have played 4 with no issue before but never played 3. what are some fixes? am I missing any info I can provide? So, I literally have less than 10GB left on my C Drive, and I don't have anything else on it other than The Sims 4, LOL. I probably only have about half the packs right now. I'm thinking about deleting some saves and also going through some of my cc to see if there's stuff on there that I don't use. Any other suggestions? .1.5KViews1like20CommentsThe Sims 3 is unplayable....
I recently came back to The Sims 3, but unfortunately I keep running into constant issues. The game keeps freezing, and even when it launches, I get this message: "It looks like you have installed a game modification that is not compatible with your current version of The Sims 3." I just reinstalled everything with all DLCs, and I can’t even click OK or close the error — it just gets stuck there. Please fix the game and update it for modern hardware. It’s ridiculous that over the years you’ve managed to break the game this badly — and the EA app as well. We paid for this, and IT DOES NOT WORK!!!!! (P.S.: I have NO mods installed at all, nothing. Everything used to work fine before. Specs: i7-9700K / RTX 2080 Ti)136Views1like3CommentsKeyboard stops working while playing Sims 4
The keyboard on my Yoga 7 2-in-1 laptop stops working after ~5-10 minutes of gameplay in The Sims 4. The entire keyboard goes down, not just specific keys. My only solution right now is to close the game, shut the computer down, and restart everything. I have my in-game overlays disabled for both EA and Steam. I have no mods or CC installed. I play in windowed mode. I've deleted the files from my cache folder. I've repaired the game. My computer systems are up to date. I've run virus scans to ensure I'm not harboring any corrupt software. I've tried every recommendation I've seen posted and I still have this issue. What can I do to resolve this? Thank you!Stuck at 85% repair, and game breaks after closing
So I have two issues that are happening simultaneously. Currently, I'm trying to repair my game and it keeps getting stuck at 85%. The something went wrong error pops up, and it cycles back to the start of the repair. I've tried the app recovery/restart app multiple times already, and I've even factory reset my laptop. It worked for about an hourish yesterday, with Mods, but I noticed that some of the items (DLC items, not CC) weren't showing up properly. They appeared in the catalog with a white and red X box. It keeps saying the client Delta build 8/0? error (both, 8 and 0) I've tried emptying out my Mods folder, reinstalling both EA and the game, and deleting the clientDB file. Idk what else to do so... Hi! I have never been on a forum before so I apologize for all the things I do wrong. I want to find out how the best way to play Sims 4 through an external hard drive works. Everything I can find is still using origin and players are saying it’s different. Can someone please tell me the correct hard drive to buy and how to actually do it? Thank you!Avoid Sims 3 damaging my pc? (Mac)
Hi all, I've read on other threads that the optimisation, outdated settings, unrestricted FPS, etc of Sims 3 could cause damage to your pc over time. My last 2 laptops both ended up with the same problems with the battery and connectivity and the Sims 3 was the only heavy app I used so I want to do everything I can to protect my laptop this time I saw posts about restricting the FPS but I couldn't find any way to do it on Mac/Macbook. If anyone has any advice on doing this, and the best things to do/download/etc to optimise the game and avoid any problems I'd appreciate it 🙂65Views0likes1CommentSims 3 won't open as well as the launcher itself?
I purchased Sims 3 from the EA app a few hours ago along with almost every single expansion and add-on available to me, but when I try to play from the EA app, it won't launch. The EA app minimizes for a second and then reopens? Nothing is different. There's no Sims 3 file in my Electronic Arts folder, so I know it's not even launching, but I don't know what to do! I uninstalled/reinstalled, repaired game files, uninstalled it and reinstalled it on a different drive, and restarted my PC. Any suggestions are appreciated!286Views0likes12Comments
