I can't install the newest pack. Help!
Hi, this is my first time posting here. I just bought the newest Business and Hobbies Expansion pack. The thing is, I can't download it. It doesn't show up in my Manage add-ons nor in the Download Queue. When I entered the game, it recognized that the pack is there, but the new world is grayed out and says something along the lines of "the pack isn't installed yet". What do I do? Yes I checked that I actually bought the pack. I have the bill and I checked on my purchases that I did. Does anyone know why this happens and how do I install it? I haven't had this trouble with previous packs.
Sims 4 – EA App Doesn’t Allow Language Change After Repair
Hi everyone, I’ve run into an issue this week 06/04/2025 that I’ve never experienced before. After repairing The Sims 4 via the EA App, the option to change the game language seems to have disappeared. The " menu now only shows English, and I can no longer switch it back to Traditional Chinese. Previously, I was able to play The Sims 4 in Traditional Chinese even though my EA App was in English. No matter how many times I repaired or updated the game in the past, the language settings were never affected—until now. Here’s what I’ve tried so far: Reinstalled the EA App and Sims 4 Changed the "locale" setting to ZH_TW Tried other common workarounds I could find online Unfortunately, nothing has worked. Has anyone else run into this issue recently? If so, were you able to fix it? I’d really appreciate any help or suggestions to get the language back to Traditional Chinese. Hopefully this is just a temporary bug and EA will fix it in a future update. Thanks so much in advance!
Game not working at all
Idk whats going on with my game but eveytime i open a saved game instead of opening in the household itll open on the [choose season screen] then into the [allocate a lot to household screen] except the household isnt with me and there are no funds. If i try make a new save through the create-a-sim my whole game just crashes nd closes. Ive repaired the game, moved mods/cc even deleted a few rn idk what to do....sighbusiness problem
Hello, this is probably a bit off topic, but I'm wondering if it's happening to just me or to more people. I bought the business expansion, still in pre-sale, but absolutely nothing works, when I want to go to a new world, or just to the map, it just loads a white screen and I have to restart the whole game. I can't start a business or anything like that. Furniture and clothes,... I have everything and it works, but the main part doesn't🤦🏻♀️. I repaired it, tried uninstalling and installing it, then I bought other expansions on sale, they work absolutely without any problems... I really don't know, I was really looking forward to it and maybe I'm just so happy... Has anyone else encountered this? Or do you know what? All the other games work perfectly fine too, I've tried everything
Folders are missing in the files
The first picture is what my sims files looked like before I moved it, the second is what they look like now. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it on the new drive through the EA app. But now there is nowhere to move the saves, the tray, or the mods I intended to move. I've been trying to figure it out on my own since yesterday to no avail. Putting the game back on my internal hard drive isn't an option as I don't have space to update it anymore and it's unplayable. But I love using mods and don't want to play without them. I tried making a symbolic link between the new game and my mods folder, but it didn't work. I have no idea how to fix this. There is no EA folder on my new hard drive at all. I tried to get the app to install on there as well, but it did not. I tried moving the app to it, it did not work. I don't know how to get the EA folder on there to make it look normal.The language switched to Czech
I am travelling outside of my home country. Started having issues with gray screen after pop ups (like selling items from sim's inventory). Read about it, thought it was because of the VPN. Uninstall the VPN. The issue persisted. And then I REPAIRED the game. Launched the game. It's in Czech, not in English now. Uninstalled the game. Wanted to download... The languages offered are Czech, Polish and Russian. What is going on?!!!! I own most of the packs, paid God knows how much money and this is what I get?! Guys, please, someone help me out. Have you encountered the problem and what shall I do. I want English back or I want my money back.
Recovering a Previous Save
I accidentally saved when I was exiting my game and would like to return to my previous save. In the past, I would use the floppy disk icon and recover the save I wanted. Now with the newer Sims 4 menu, I can't find the recover saves button and am unsure what to do. I went to the Player Help Services to talk to someone and they were no help and told me to ask here,
Recent Update
I have an HP laptop and my game was not updating and showed a permissions error: failed to create a folder. I tried many troubleshooting methods, including checking permissions for the EA folder and Sims 4 folder, running the EA app as an administrator, and clearing my cache. However, EA was not allowing me to repair SIMS, so I deleted the EA folder but copied everything inside to a USB. After reinstalling it and adding all the folders back, my game progress did not come back, and my mods didn't even pop up. Please Help
