Game refuses to fully launch after latest update.
As stated above, my game has refused to launch after the latest patch. I have done everything on my own end to resolve this: i.e. fresh install, deleting specific folders, updating drivers, fresh install on a different drive, etc. I have the game purchased through Steam and before this latest update, I was able to play it just fine. Now, it only opens a black window for a second or two before closing. It doesn't even make an attempt to load. I have over 100+ hours in this game and I am now entirely unable to play it and cannot even request a refund. (Not that I'd like to. I'd like to be able to finish the game. :/ ) I have seen others have this problem, but there doesn't seem to be a fix. I hope that perhaps a fix can be released in an update soon to sort this issue out. I'm not sure what else I can do. I have attached a screen recording to show what happens on my end.Can we get an official response for the missing DLC?
It's been over 2 weeks and no official word with what is going on with the missing DLC. Many of us are still unable to play with the pre order and deluxe items. We spent our money on this and still nothing. Two patches and still nothing. What is going on?Fresh install stuck on Download in Progress
I just installed the game on PS5 and when I launch the game it says “Download In Progress”. It’ll let me create a character but once I finish creating it pops and alert that asks me to “Please wait for installation to finish”. It’s been sitting for over an hour now with that message still spinning.[EA App] Sign in With Your EA Account Error
Why am I suddenly getting this 1. I did not play the game on EA Play or EA Play Pro subscriptions 2. I cannot resize or get to the password box 3. The last time it appeared, I clicked on the X and closed it, and the game would play and run after restarting the EA App on the PC. I do not get bonus content pop up any more so no Deluxe and Pre-order content appearing, possibly connected If anyone has an answer, I would love to know how to prevent this from occurring Regards IainSolvedwrong language
the game downloaded and a ran it only to find it was in korean. i tried changing the language and then when that didnt work i deleted and redownloaded the game. that has also not worked. I downloaded the game from the seattle region and it still is giving the korean version. what can i do to fix this?Anyone still not having the DLC show up?
I've decided to start a new thread to see if anyone is still experiencing this issue. It's been 1 month and 3 patches so some people might have had this issue fixed. For me however, I still do not have access to my pre-order and deluxe item DLC. They are installed in my game but they are not unlocking in game for me.DAV won't run on PC despite adequate specs
So I've really been going through the wringer trying to get this game to launch. I first bought Dragon Age: Veilguard on Steam about two weeks ago. However, once the game had finished installing, it would not launch. I would press "play" and the game just wouldn't do anything, not even an error message or any other pop-up. I tried verifying the game files multiple times, but that didn't do anything. I tried deleting that shader-cache folder everyone has mentioned, but that didn't do anything either. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, tried running it as an administrator, let windows troubleshoot it...nothing. Finally, I returned the game to Steam and decided to try purchasing it through the EA app itself to see if that would fare any better. Bought it, installed it, and when I went to play it, now I would get an error message, a pop-up window that says, "There's a problem with your game's setup. Please reinstall your game." So I did. Multiple times. I tried repairing the files, running as administrator again, troubleshooting through windows, clearing my EA cache, fiddled with every graphics setting I could find to trial-and-error it. I tried to make sure that there were no background programs that could be interfering with the computer's ability to launch it, but it still will not work. Needless to say, I'm beyond frustrated. I've triple checked my PC's specs compared to what is needed to run the game successfully, and it's more than up to snuff. For reference, it's able to run Baldur's Gate 3 and the Mass Effect games and the like with no issues whatsoever. At first, I was convinced it must be an issue with the game, but after downloading the most recent patch and STILL not being able to run it, I wasn't so sure anymore. More confusing still, I installed DAV through EA on my dinky old laptop as well, just to see what it would do, and the kicker is that it actually tries to run the game--I'll even get a loading image in the bottom right corner--but ultimately it fails because my computer just doesn't have enough memory for it, which is to be expected. So I don't know what the difference between my two computers is that one will try to actually launch the game, and the other won't even let me get past a pop-up message. Has anyone else had an issue like this? Is there some program that could be running on my desktop PC that is notorious for interfering with DAV's ability to launch? I know nothing about computers so I'd appreciate any help or advice anyone can offer! :)Camera panning issue
Similar issue to https://forums.ea.com/discussions/dragon-age-the-veilguard-tech-issues-en/camera-panning-issue/5002916 though issue is unresolvable and Veilguard nplayable PC (Windows 11 24H2). I believe the issue lies with the mouse not being able to "zero" itself. Reducing the mouse sensitivity to 0.00 helps but does not resolve the issue, making it less nauseating but still unable to play. The game was installed directly through the EA client (so there is no third-party issue). Multiple monitor setup (though that should not affect the issue). No workarounds have resolved the issue (even temporarily) DxDiag is available but will not be posted on an open forum.
