The Disney Princess 10 Gen Challenge!
Welcome to... THE DISNEY PRINCESS 10 GEN CHALLENGE! INFO: This challenge is based on the Disney Princess franchise and movies. Storytellers can follow the original stories or you can just roll with it. Some areas of this challenge ask for gender-specific heir/heiresses, this can be easily changed out if you're playing patriarchy or matriarchy. This challenge follows the original rules of the 10 Generation Legacy - although some rules may vary. This challenge can be completed with only the base game, though some DLC may improve your experience. Update: This challenge has been slightly updated as of February 2025. Please feel free to suggest any further edits to the generations and I will look through these and adjust the rules accordingly. After years away, I'm finally back playing The Sims 3 😁🤩 I had forgotten how much fun it is to build, creat unique sims, and watch the little chaos unfold. The nostalgia hit me right away, the music, the details... it's like coming home to an old friend. I missed this so much!💖395Views11likes8CommentsRebuilding The Worlds
Hello everyone! Welcome to my Rebuilding The Worlds thread! I am slowly working my way through each of the worlds in The Sims 4 by building new houses, making Sims for them, connecting some of their stories with other Households. You'll find me posting frequent updates as I progress through each of the houses and Sims. I hope you enjoy reading through and seeing my progress. 😇451Views10likes31CommentsCreek Tales - A Pack Legacy Challenge (updated 05/15)
When Maxis introduced the option of turning packs off and on in game, I was wildly tempted to create a Pack Legacy Challenge for the game. Of course, someone else already did, but as usual, I'm all about creating my own rules based on my own playing style and play badly when others dictate my game, which of course means I'll make the rules up as I go, still there are a few basics. Basic guidelines I intend follow: I will start with an entirely base game family, the Creek-family (introduced below). They (including the kids) are generation 1 of this challenge. With every new generation at least one new pack (EP, GP, SP or Kit) will be unlocked. That generation then has to truly explore that pack, meaning jobs, looks, decorations, aspirations, traits, skills even deaths should be explored to the fullest by the sims born in that generation. The exception is seasons, which will be unlocked as the oldest child of gen 1, Willow, ages up to a teen. Which pack that will be unlocked will depend on the first trait given to the first child in the next generation (so a family orientated child will unlock parenthood or growing together, depending on which have been unlocked before). Some traits only unlock kits. In that case the second trait given to a child of that generation will unlock a pack. Some kits will also be unlocked with a specific pack if it feels like a good combination, like country kitchen with cottage living or industrial loft with city living. And some rules (yes, even I have a few rules): All traits are to be given randomly, with the exceptions being that a sim of a new generation MUST take traits of a newly unlocked pack if there are any, randomly if there are several. When every trait of the newly unlocked pack is assigned to a sim in game, randomness for all available traits are allowed. When the first child of the next generation receive their first trait, true randomness applies as that will dictate the next pack to unlock. A new pack is unlocked when the oldest child of a generation ages up to teen. No CC is allowed, a part from the occasional ad-on pack (separations of items already in game, matching chairs to a sofa or more window options). Even add-ons should be kept to a minimum. This is after all about exploring the packs to their fullest. Mods are allowed, but not those that significantly adds gameplay options (such as career-mods, new aspirations, traits or new gameplay). The purpose here is to explore the options of the packs after all. For me, myself, I intend to start out only with BetterBuildBuy and MCCC and try to keep other mods to a minimum (that lasted less than an hour, there are simply too many things I cannot live with in game, but the aim is the same, keep mods to a minimum and no mods that adds gameplay). As for the rest, well that's up in the air still. I plan on starting with aging on normal, but as that is very new to me, I might change that to long instead as I've never managed to live with normal age span before. Either way, adult lifespan will be about twice the usual length for how else are they going to be able to see their kids grow up and have kids of their own? And with that I think it's time to meet our founding family. As with The Whittaker Saga I will write the post in a blog and post the links here. I've been addicted to restarting my game over and over and I've been looking for a challenge I can stick with long term, and stop my restart cycle. simgirl1010 Super Sim Family has inspired me to try and stick with one family long term. So, I've taken my very first Sim from the Sims 4 years, and recreated her for a more modern look and feel, and I'm starting her Legacy style. I don't know exactly what rules I'll be following, but my main rule for myself is to just stick with it! We'll see lol. Can this chronic restarter addict be cured? Introducing Annie Baker: (I'll leave pictures in the reply since the attachments don't show up for me.) Annie was raised in a strict home where her creativity was stifled and never really appreciated. She knew she was loved and cared for, but she also knew she had to move far away to become her own person. So Annie sold everything she had, except her aisle and favorite paint brushes, packed some clothes and her trusty water bottle, and bought an enormous plot of land in the countryside. The view would be inspirational, she knew, and she hoped she'd have plenty of room to discover new hobbies, skills, and talents she had always been afraid to dream of.559Views7likes44CommentsShort and Sweet Legacy
Hi, everyone! I've been having some of the most fun playing with my current household and I just wanted to share some of my favorite game play moments in one thread. I gave myself a few rules to make it more realistic, allowing me to change up how I play. Rules: I have to play on short lifespan. If I purchase anything from Build/Buy mode, I have to wait until the next day to actually place it on the lot, or after they come back from traveling to a different lot. The sims have to clean up their own dishes and trash. (No clicking and dragging.) I must play each sim with their traits, skills, likes, and dislikes in mind. (When each decision is based on the sim's character, it gives them so much more life!) THE SUTHERLANDS This is Brynlee. She dabbles in art and works at a studio, but she dreams of becoming a successful actress. She volunteers at the Del Sol Valley local theater where she will be performing on stage for the first time very soon. “The Sol” is the place where many movie stars have launched their careers, and Bryn hopes to be at the top of the A-list! Traits: Outgoing, Active, Self-Absorbed Aspiration: Master Actress Career: Actress She lives with her brother Cole, who just came home from college, and her elderly dad Declan. Cole is trying to figure out which path he wants to take with his tech skills. Traits: Non-Committal, Adventurous, Geek Aspiration: Computer Whiz Career: Freelance Programmer Declan may be a retired explorer, but he’s still finding treasure in his own backyard.1.1KViews7likes48CommentsPerfect Genetics Challenge
My new video series - Perfect Genetics Challenge - is now available for viewing on YouTube. https://youtu.be/iQUhw5SbutM This video is a little over 16 minutes. It is an introduction to my founder, Olivia. We first meet her in Create a Household. We see her first home and job. She meets her man and they start getting to know each other. This challenge ought to be colourful. Not only does Olivia have blue, purple, pink and yellow hair but she has a very pale blue skin and pinkish purple eyes. The challenge requires her to produce an heir, male or female, who has the exact same hair and eye colour. Once the heir is confirmed, the mother will concentrate on living her life until the heir is old enough to take on the challenge. There is no upper limit to the number of babies she might have to produce before the heir arrives. Consequently I've set the age spans to be reasonably long but will use cake to age the family up as required. I plan to stop the mother from having more babies once it is confirmed the heir has been born. The heir will age up from toddler to child when they have done all of their toddler skills. And from Child to Teen after completing all of the child skills and getting onto the honour roll at school. The teen will age up to young adult after they have been to a prom and have learned fishing and cooking skills and read all of the fishing and recipe books. This means they'll need to get to level 7 in fishing and level 10 in cooking before I will let them age up to Young Adult. They may learn other skills along the way and need to be at least A Grade students. If they haven't learned the required skills and done the required reading within 105 days they'll age up automatically. When the heir is about the age up to Young Adult, hopefully the day before the teen is ready to age up to young adult, I'll age the parents up to Adult. The Adult life stage is also quite long just in case the mother automatically ages up to adult before she has produced the heir. The Elder life stage is also long. Babies will need grandparents around for a while. I may reduce the length of the Elder life stage at some point if the elders are accumulating. Moonlit Falls is full of supernaturals and I won't worry about when that population ages up. I'll be using EA Story Progression so if the town population ages up very slowly maybe there will still be sims around town by the time my founder's descendants start moving into the general townie population. All babies born to the founder and her heirs will have randomised traits with the one exception that each heir must have the dislikes children trait. There are no restrictions on how the main household earns their income. They can go out collecting, or gardening or whatever they choose. I will be getting them the no bills ever lifetime reward asap because I have a bad habit of forgetting about the bills and have difficulty working out what the repo man has taken. Due to the lack of restrictions on how they earn/come by their money the game will have many and varied activities in it throughout this challenge. One of the first wishes my founder got is to travel to Egypt to buy a recipe book. I do plan to grant that wish soon. Perhaps she can go there on her honeymoon. She has already met her man. I made him specially for her. She's blue with purple and blue hair, he's green with green hair and eyes. But their skin colouring is subtle. I think that about covers it. I hope you decide to watch. I'm keeping the length of these episodes to around 10 to 15 minutes each. Please consider subscribing if you are going to watch the videos as that way you'll know whenever a new episode is posted.4.6KViews6likes172CommentsYamamoto & the Orphanage

She married, and the couple immigrated to the west in the 1970’s. Today she is the unofficial leader of the Yamamoto family. She and her late husband Heizō, used you run a sushi restaurant in a nearby town. After the death of Heizō, she sold the restaurant and moved to Appaloosa. Building what is now the family residence. Most of the family fortune is now gone and she recently started working at a local restaurant, helping support the growing family. Masaki is logically good in a kitchen, after years in the restaurant business, besides that she is quite skilled both at the piano and at the canvas. She is on good terms with everyone in the family, the only one from the town she knows in Hetty Lionheart. Misaki Yamamoto painting in her granddaughter’s room Yamamoto family: Yasuhito 22 years old Yasuhito is quite the late child, born October 1985 when his mother was already 41. He is the only son of Masaki and Heizō. Yasuhito and his wife Hana met in high school, and she got pregnant just 16 years old. Giving birth to their daughter the following year. After they both finished school, they married. Yasuhito has been promoted quite quickly, now the department head in the company where he works.Yasuhito is the type who is not very good at anything but quite good at many things. His is mainly interested in his family and likes to tend the garden. Sometimes he likes to go fishing. Basically, the only interest he has had, outside the home or workplace. He can be a bit flirty if he meets a beautiful woman, luckily his wife is not very jealous. He knows some people from the town but doesn't really know any of them well. Yasuhito with his son Takumi Yamamoto family: Hana 23 years old Hana moved into her mother in laws house in 2004, with her daughter Kiyo. Just married to the father of her child, and blindly in love. Today a mother of three, with the two youngest both boys. 2 years old Takumi and two months old Tetsu. She is currently at maternity leave, but otherwise she makes her income as a member of a classical quartet. She plays most instruments, but not exceptionally well. Hana love to read, is fast and might do better as a writer than a musician. She is not the typical housewife, a bad cook and not too interested in keeping the home clean. Most people find her to be very beautiful. Yamamoto family: Kiyo Kiyo is 6 years old, born September 2002. She is very interested in painting, and she seems to have a mathematical mindset. Her best friends at school is Chantrelle Riffin and Dwight Britton, the latter living in the nearby Orphanage. No bio for the boys yet, they need to grow a bit to start their own “stories”. Ms. Scholler's Orphanage: Miss Scholler Erin Scholler has worked with children for 11 years as a teacher and pedagogue on several schools and institutions. She recently opened her own private orphanage, aimed at abused or orphaned children from all over the country. The budget is tight and the teenagers might be forced to take afterschool jobs to make the institution survive. Erin is a strong reader and good with plants. Sometimes a bit dramatic and emotional, also a little bit clumsy. Miss Scholler and her employe Mr. Butler, usually do not socialize much, besides at work. But they took a trip together to see the Historical Society and went to the movies after. It all ended with a first kiss, something she was not expecting from herself and definitely not with an employed staff member. They got interrupted by one of the children, before it got any further. Erin runs a side business selling vegetables from the garden. She will never admit to this, but right now, her favorite children is Leonard, Quiana and Valensia. Erin is 36 years old. Born Apr 1971. Ms. Scholler's Orphanage: Nicklaus Butler Erin Scholler knows Nicklaus Butler, from an institution where they both worked. He was an assistant janitor. She knows he runs some illegal activities on the side, but she looks the other way and welcomes the extra money it brings to the household. He sometimes seems to be kind of weird but can also seem quite friendly and nice at times. His favorite child is Dwight Britton. His only acquaintance in town is Hetty Lionheart. He is quite good with tools. Nicklaus Butler is 25 years old, born June 1983. Ms. Scholler's Orphanage: Leonard Sterling Leonard is 17 years old, born in Jun 1991. He is the oldest of the children. There is not limit to how old you can be at the orphanage, as long as you have no family. Only teenage girls can stay with their babies and has to move out when they turn 20 years old. They built a sports bar and a new home in the hamlet, The Family consist of 42 years old Wilhelm Hanson (2009), his 9 years younger wife Camilla, their 14 years old son Charlie and the cat Bowie. Campbell Family: Editorial note: This is a story, about free will simming, made possible with tuning in NRaas Relativity Mod. My sims will be as autonomous as possible, 99% of the time, I wont direct them to anything. Just watch what they do by themselves. Besides making the parent’s bed in the Japanese family (it is a mess when used), it will be mentioned if I did direct something. What I can and will do is build, move stuff around, and tune mods if not working as I would like, pay bills, and sell or buy items. Financially they are also on their own, if the can't pay, they loose stuff. I use NRaas Relativity, this controls the clock, making my in-game day 64% longer, giving the sims more time to solve daily tasks. Also control the skill gain, and the adjusted clock, won’t make skill gain easier. After the Move to the Hamlet my lifespan was reduced to 318 days (4 days/year). I use Consigner, Woohooer, Master Controller (MC cheats) (MC progression), Story Progression (SP Career) (SP Extra) (SP Money) (SP Population) (SP Relationships) (SP Skill), Dexter, Overwatch, Dresser, Fridge, GetDrunk, Homeopner, Onceread, Portrait Panel, Register, Saver, Selector, Shooless, Tagger, Fridge Mod and No Free Work Performance.510Views6likes22CommentsHarvest Legacy and SuperSim Updates
Pomegranate is her name, and she's known her destiny since she was just a little fruit. Her family legacy is to save seeds, perfect them, and hand them down to future generations. Not that every child in the family will be a Botanist like Pomegranate wants to be, but each child will be in charge of perfecting one plant, and of course Pomegranate's perfect plant is none other than the pomegranate. But first she has to find it. Their family name is Harvest, and their family legacy is as Seed-Savers. Pomegranate is collecting all of the harvestable from the wild that she can possibly find. She doesn't trust the quality of seed packets, so other than a few heirloom seeds (ie. seeds that came in Seasons that can't be found in the worlds), she must find all of her plants in the wild. Pomegranate is on long life span for now, and I plan on starting with Base Game, Seasons, and the Greenhouse Kit. I'll add in packs as I need them to explore and enjoy them each separately. Each child will have a name in line with the seed they are in charge of perfecting and handing down, plus they will be in charge of searching out and finding all new seeds with any additional packs that are added in their life time. Here's to a fresh start and a Legacy of Harvesters.426Views5likes27Comments
