Project Renee/Future of Sims
It was very disappointing to hear that there won’t be a Sims 5. I just don’t understand where this is all heading. Project Renee just looks like another sims game but not an UPGRADED one. I believe we need another Sims game but this time it needs to be better than all the other games. It needs to have something from all the games otherwise what’s the point? In my opinion The Sims 4 is so incredibly boring. It’s a cash grab and if anything the game is actually just a building simulator. Also, not making a newer, better game because of this reasoning- “we would hate to make players start over” is just pathetic and lazy. We have said for so long that we need something like The Sims 3, the Sims 2 and most definitely not another boring cash grab Sims 4 but me and many others see that our pleads and our suggestions aren’t being heard. For me if the new Sims game isn’t better than all of the other ones then I’m done. Im going to just play and devote my time to InZoi and Paralives. Those developers seem to actually want to listen to the player base. I’ve been a Sims fan ever since Sims 2 came out. I’ve played all of the Nintendo games, the PlayStation games and after I got a PC I started playing Sims 3 then the Sims 2. I saw and experienced how much better the other games were despite them being older. Im sorry for this being a negative post but, if it’s not then are you guys ever going to listen?Potential rereleases of legacy Sims games?
Hi all! I just discovered that SimCity 3000 has been re-released on Steam and EA App. Had to get it because, well, it has been so many years it wasn't digitally available. Yep, the release is March the 7th. I feel like such an old game being re-released now (it was originally released on 1999 after all), I feel like situation with The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 is getting more hopeful. Sure, The Sims is still going strong unlike SimCity, but still, wouldn't it be awesome? I'm trying to keep up with the news, but keep an eye on things too. Let's collect any news about EA legacy games re-releasing. After all, these include: The Sims: Complete Collection The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection The Sims Life Stories The Sims Pet Stories The Sims Castaway Stories I'll put any news in the timeline below. Timeline: January 8 2024 TwitterX user jackofallgames (jackofallgames7) reports that he got sent a job application to Maxis to a software engineer position for legacy Maxis titles. March 7 2024 9 games (one being a bundle of 17 games) get re-released on Steam and EA Store.
MySims PC: I have a few questions
Its been a really long time since last time I've played MySims on the pc. I just have a few questions if anyone still plays it too. (Note: I'm talking for the PC not the switch) I have tried looking up these answers on my own, but I either gets answers to do with sims 4 or I get answers for other systems. Neither of which are helpful. x.x First question. I need to do a task for candy and I need clown fish essence. My dumb fingers pressed the button the mouse too early, so I didn't get a chance to read on how to fish. I tried winging it, but keep failing, so then I tried looking it up online. Luckily, I didn't find the answer, but it game me the answer for how to do it on the wii and I'm on the pc. Can only please explain to me how to fish? Second question. I noticed that some of the other sims will juggle, jump on the couch or even sit outside and read or as they call it, have a book party. I was wondering if there was a way my sim could also do those things without having to wait for other sims? Like, is there a way I can spread out a blanket and start a book party instead of waiting for another sim to start it?? Third question. I want to take some screenshots of some cute of silly moments my sim has, but whenever I press the prtsc button, it minimizes the game and tries taking a screenshot of my pc's background. As pretty as my background is, I don't think I'm obsessed with it enough to have multiple pictures of the same image. XD I tried looking this answer up online, but all it gives me are ways on how to take screenshots on the sims 4. So is there anyway to take screenshots on mysims for the pc or am I just going to have to just snap pictures of my screen with my phone like the good ol days? XD I understand that this game probably doesn't have a lot of players as far as pc goes to this day, so the answers to my questions may go left unanswered or that some people may not remember for they probably haven't played in such a long long time. But I would still be thankful people read my post and even if you only had the answer to just one of my questions. 😄A Look Back: The Sims Carnival
Hey. So, I was suddenly reminded that exists, so I'll share this. Back when I was a child, I played mostly casual games I found on the Internet and downloaded and played on the free trial. There were two games that I remember were The Sims themed. These were: The Sims Carnival: SnapCity The Sims Carnival: BumperBlast I also linked a video showing these games. So what were these games? SnapCity combined Tetris and SimCity, making you place falling blocks so that they build a city. BumperBlast was a shoot 'em up puzzle game where you had to bump into as many sims as you can. The videos do better explaining though. So then... I'll ask you. Have you played these games? What memories do you have with them? If you haven't, how do these games look?
The Sims 1, 2 and 3 Remastered and released for consoles
we have no access to Sims 1 and 2 on PC, Sims 3 doesn't work well and needs a remaster desperately (it doens't even run with 64bit on Windows), the only Sims game avaliable on modern consoles is The Sims 4, the PC versions of Sims 1, 2 and 3 never came to consoles, there are a lot of people who play this franchise on consoles and they never had the opportunity to play original sims titles and its DLCs, it would be a good 25th birthday gift to the fans to remaster these beloved titles and bring them to more people on consoles, with all its DLCs and would also be a good financial opportunity for Maxis and EA to sell these DLCs for people outside of the PC space (Sims 3 for example, avaliable on PC right now, but people on console don't have a way to purchase it and its DLCs) would also be interesting to bring back console titles to modern consoles via emulation, games like The Sims Bustin' Out, The Urbz, Sims 2 Castaway, Sims 2 Pets and Sims 2 PSP should be preserved, Maxis doesn't have a good track record when it comes to game preservation, and it's free money on the table for them, cause i would purchase them on my PS5 without thinking twice

Are Some The Sims Franchise No Longer Working or Playable?
I have a cd case of The Sims Medieval I purchased online and I installed and played quite a number of times before The Sims 3 came but after it, I played it on occasion. After I immigrated to another pc and several years since the coming of The Sims 4 when I attempted to install and play it... it is no longer works and encounters issues. I also hear from other players that they purchase the digital copy of the game but to no avail it is still not working. I wonder what is the problem and how can I fix this?
