Occasionally unable to connect to match when using Cloudflare One Client (WARP)
Recently, due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to migrate from a wired connection to a LTE connection. Ever since, my internet traffic seems to appear very bot-like and I constantly have connection stability issues across all services. Due to this, I've been using Cloudflare One Client (WARP) and all those issues seems to be fixed as it stabilizes my traffic and packet loss. However, when it comes to Apex Legends there is what I believe to be a bug when I match-make and try to connect to a match while in a party with 2 members (I typically only play ranked so I'm not sure if this occurs in any other game mode or in a party of 3 members or solo). What happens is, after match making and finding a match, the loading screen appears when connecting to the match but it doesn't show a loading screen wallpaper instead its just a black screen with the animated loading icon in the bottom right. After about 10 seconds, it kicks me back to the main menu where I have to click to enter the lobby screen. This only occurs when I have my Cloudflare WARP active. I use it with the mode set to "Traffic and DNS (HTTPS)". On successful connections to matches, the loading screen appears and I load in correctly. My first assumption is that there is some issue with the handshake that takes place during the initial connection to the match server but you are the experts so I'll leave the debugging to you. I live in South Africa and I play on eu-central-1. I average 200 ms ping which is surprisingly playable when there is no packet loss. I also do not receive any penalties when this occurs and my party members load in normally but because I fail to connect, they do not get a 3rd on their team for that match (They get no RP loss for the match if they die before meeting the threshold). Kindly, if anything can be done to prevent this match connection failure without having to disable my Cloudflare WARP, please let me know. Without WARP, I constantly get upwards of 50+ packets lost when playing Apex Legends.81Views0likes2CommentsShield Regeneration Audio Plays After Game Over
The shield regeneration audio plays forever when the game ends during control, gun run and team deathmatch, until I return to the lobby. To reproduce: play Wattson (I'm not sure if other controller character's passives regen their shield but Wattson does regardless) take damage before the game ends (~10 seconds before), do not use a shield battery or shield cell I have a video of the issue in control game mode. I have experienced it in gun run and team deathmatch but don't currently have video of it. It's very obvious in my video because I play without in game music, so there should be only silence after the mixtape match ends. I have also attached a video showing all my settings. I compressed the videos to potatoe quality but the audio can still be heard well enough in the last ten seconds of the video. I have also observed this same issue (audio plays after game over forever in mixtape match) with audio from ziplines which may be relevant for all characters, rather than just Wattson / controller legends. I will try to get video of this and make an additional bug report.23Views1like1Comment60ms Ping Causes Severe Hit Registration and Gameplay Issues
I normally get around 40–50 ms ping when playing Apex Legends, and the game plays normally at that ping. Sometimes, if I completely close Apex and start the game again, my ping changes to around 60 ms. When I play a match while I have this 60 ms ping, I experience very bad hit registration. Shots that appear to hit enemies often do not register correctly, and the whole match feels delayed or out of sync. The strange part is that if I completely close Apex and restart it again, my ping can go back to 40–50 ms. When this happens, the hit registration and gameplay return to normal. So the pattern is - around 60 ms = bad hit registration and gameplay Restart Apex again - 40–50 ms = normal gameplay I also notice that during these problematic 60 ms sessions, i get the same teammates repeatedly across different matches. I cannot confirm that they are experiencing the same issue, but their gameplay can also seem unusually poor, and the entire match feels different compared with my normal 40–50 ms games. I am playing from Sri Lanka and normally connect to the Singapore I don't think the problem is simply that 60 ms is too high, because the issue appears specifically when Apex gives me the 60 ms connection and disappears when I restart and return to 40–50 ms. - EA ID: woogy113 - Platform: PS5 — Apex Legends My account was hacked and banned a while ago, and the ban was appealed and lifted. Since then my main account can queue but never loads into any match ("1 player in queue" forever, including Firing Range), while my second account works perfectly on the same PS5. Reinstalling, changing regions, clearing cache, and any other advice from support haven't helped at all. So it seems to me that a matchmaking ban or restriction of some kind has remained on my account after the ban reversal. I have talked to support who have said there is no visible restriction on my account, and they have directed me here again (I posted a couple months ago about this as well). Is there anyway for a server-side reset of some kind on my matchmaking status (in at least one forum thread, staff confirmed pushing a batch fix). Could you please check my account for any residual matchmaking flag or hidden restriction left over from the prior ban and perform a server-side reset of my matchmaking status if possible? Thank you, Will14Views0likes0Comments
