For those new to the challenge, you may want to read the information in the second post to see more information about Build-n-Share. <3 , Your BnS Hosts https://i.imgur.com/bj1Z3cS.png You have just sat back down behind your desk opposite the elderly couple when the man speaks. “We heard how you helped our friends when their homes flooded, and hope you can help us too,” Robin Nestlehut begins. “I would love to help. Tell me what I can do for you,” you request, imagining that they must have lost their home in a similar natural disaster. “It’s nothing like you must be thinking, please forgive us,” Robin’s wife, Wren, speaks up. “We have a big old farmhouse and a large farm to go with it.” “Unfortunately, we can’t keep it up ourselves anymore and none of our children are interested in coming home to take it over, so we have to sell.” Robin looks away wistfully for a moment, then seems to brighten. “But we’ve decided to use the opportunity to downsize. We would like a small house with a small yard, which will be easier for us to care for.” “Two bedrooms would be nice, one could serve as both a guest room and a hobby room,” Wren adds. “We’ll need two bathrooms as well.” “Our favorite room in the farmhouse was the sunroom, so we would prefer a sunroom in the new house,” Robin requests. “I think we can work with that. I hope you love your new home just as much as your old one,” you say. The Brief: *Budget: 35,000 The house needs: *At least 2 beds and 2 baths *One room must double as a guest room and hobby room. *A sunroom *The usual kitchen, living and dining areas. Guide to Houseboats in game & in CAW
Houseboats! They're awesome, versatile, and totally fun... but they can also be tricky, especially when adding one to a world other than Isla Paradiso. Thankfully you've come to the right place. This guide will answer every question you ever had regarding houseboats (and many that you didn't!), inform you as to what you can actually do with them (nearly everything!), and take you through a step by step tutorial explaining how to build one in Edit Town or in Create a World. Your feedback is welcome and encouraged! If you have questions please ask, and if you see any inaccurate information please let me know so I can fix it. This guide is split into easy to follow sections: • FAQ – All questions regarding Houseboats answered. • Edit Town Tutorial – How to add a houseboat to a world using the in-game editing tools. • CAW Tutorial - How to build a custom world with the Create a World tool that has houseboats. So, you’re interested in lots that change throughout the year with the seasons? Well, you’ve come to the right place! This thread has everything you need to understand how these lots work, and even includes a step by step tutorial that will teach you how to build a lot of your own that changes over time. Before we begin though, please be aware that this is a guide intended for advanced builders. You will be using debug objects that were created for use by the development team to build these special lots. The method of using them isn’t particularly user friendly. If I didn’t scare you off with that warning, you’re ready to get started. Here's the best tip you'll get in this guide: save early and save often when creating your seasonal lots. If you accidentally change anything you didn't intend to, you can simply go back to an earlier version. I would also encourage you to read everything in this guide before doing any serious building of your own; there is a lot of important information that you should know. Well, I think as a community, we could make some changes to the neighborhood maybe? Barnacle Bay is now losing its residents as they moved and traveled to Hidden Springs and also flew with the crew to Lunar Lakes. Barnacle Bay wants to grab more attention for tourists and wants to become a new attraction as a world itself and it needs YOUR help. This thread will gather and obtain all player creations to help renovate Barnacle Bay with anything released from the Expansion Packs, Stuff Packs, and the Sims 3 Store. So many ideas can be created from below: - Help create new homes or redecorate outdated ones to help Barnacle Bay increase its revenue. - Create new neighbors, and pets if you would like to make the world welcoming. - Create new venues and attractions to make this island a true tropical resort. - Create new stories and background for your choice of remakes/creations/etc. What is allowed: - Expansion Pack Content - Stuff Pack Content - Store Content - Custom Content <---- Please state if your lot has CC or not What is preferred: - Download Links from the Sims 3 Exchange, but if you use mediafire or another source, please take note of the risks and it's strongly recommended for anyone to download off the exchange more than 3rd party sites. - Please keep use of images and pictures to a maximum of 5 pictures per creation. Any more would strongly recommend using a slideshow. I will be uploading many lots of Barnacle Bay for you guys to use, should the occasion rise that you do not own Barnacle Bay.
