Sims 3 crashing on loading screen
I've been through the threads/reddit/EA customer support and believe I have to give up on attempting to solve the issue. I have one save file that crashes on the loading screen, without fail. It was working just fine the day before and I saved and closed as normal. Today, it is not possible to open this save file anymore. There is no CC or mods used. I have since redownloaded the Sims 3, emptied the cache, opened the game with the lowest graphics settings in windowed mode -- nada. I'm playing on a Mac, OS up to date. It didn't work in 'safe mode' either. EA customer support suggested I post here to document that the issue could not be resolved. If anyone out there knows of some magical way of retrieving the lot I was building, I'm all ears. I logged quite some (read: much too many) hours on this home renovation before the issues started and I would be over the moon to see it again.28Views0likes1CommentCannot play the sims on Mac

Do I have to buy it again? i would like to invest more on the sims 3 bc my mother used to play it and I have so much nostalgia, but I’m worried I won’t be able to play it on my Mac. thanks for the attentionSolved74Views0likes3CommentsSims 3 on my Mac doesn't work...
I tried to play sims 3 on my MacBook Pro 2020 which have the good processor, upgrades, storage and graphic card . The game opened, I can play for 3 minutes and then the screen freezes with occasional flashing pixels. After this, I'm forced to quit the game. I already uninstall and reinstall the game and the EAapp, upgraded my laptop but I don't know what more I can do. I know that it is possible to play for some people so I really need help. I also know that macOS is a nightmare compare to windows to play the sims but I didn't know when I bought it.Solved118Views0likes11CommentsSims 3 - Expansion Packs
I have downloaded sims 3 on to my external hard drive using the EA app. I have about 9 expansion packs. These all download just fine but when hit the main menu launcher the game doesn't show me the other worlds that the expansion packs come with. Not to mention that if I click on the base game town and go into create a sim, the expansion pack clothes options are showing that they should be there but is just a blank cube where the clothing item should be. As well if i go to create a pet, it'll take me to the option in create a sim but again a blank space. I have tried to connect with EA help and haven't gotten any answers. I have repaired the sims 3, uninstalled reinstalled but it hasn't worked. I had no problem previously running the sims 3 when it was through the origin app. Any advice? I tried again today to reach out to EA but it isn't giving me the option to chat with an advisor.48Views0likes2CommentsSims 3 + MacOS Sonoma
For the past few weeks I've been trying to get my Sims 3 game(plus expansion packs) to work on my MacOS laptop. The game takes a lengthy time to load. However when it does, it just seems loop when it reaches the Sims 3 world menu. It'll say "connecting". Also the Sims 3 store that's a part of the menu screen is another headache. Because I can't log in. I changed my password, still didn't work. Any advice/solutions? P.S. The version of my laptop is 14.6.1130Views0likes6CommentsSims 3 64 bit not showing in Library on EA App
After origin was discontinued and i was forced to download EA app to access my games i noticed the Sims 3 64 bit version was not in my library. After speaking with an EA agent they said they had added it onto my library but i could still not see it. After 3 hours and 4 agents i tried everything from safe reboot, reinstalling the app, clearing my cache and writing a code through my mac terminal. Every single ticket or case i raised was marked as 'fixed' despite the issue not being resolved. I have been trying to contact EA Help via twitter (X) for months and have been given 0 response. I was told by one agent to keep an eye on socials. The sims 3 is an old game i dont think EA will be updating this issue on socials when the churn out a £35 dlc for the sims 4 every month. I am now left with a game i cannot access, 0 help from EA and no further way to access live chat as after clicking start chat it says ' 0 agents available' . How are EA allowing this ? very dissapointed. Can anyone help me with this please. Hi everyone, I recently digitalized my sims 3 game and expansion packs. All the disks worked on my mac (many years ago), now the digital versions also work, except for the EP Island Paradise. In the EA-app it says "Available on windows", so I can't download this EP. Is there anyone who can help me with this? Thnx!108Views0likes2CommentsInstallation on older Mac OS X versions
I just bought the Island Paradise EP and runs fine on my MacBook Pro with Monterrey, via de EA App. However, in an older Mac I bought the base game and the Ambitions EP back in 2012, with a digital download version that came with a registration code and has been running fine for years (I think it doesn't have even the Origin app because it didn't exist at the time). The current version of the game in that older Mac is 1.67 (of course it's 32 bit) and the OSX version is 10.12.6 (it cannot be updated more than that). My question is: can I also download Island Paradise and install it on that older 10.12.6 Mac? How? For example, can I get a download link to the 32 bit version and a registration code? Yes, I'm playing the game (64 bit version with EA App) on the MacBook Pro with Monterey, but I'd love to have it on the older Mac as well. I've just got my new Mac Mini M2 and installed Windows 11 with Parallels Desktop. However, I tried to install Sims 3 (base game) from disc and got the following message: I've tried the followings but no luck: 1. Update Windows, 2. Run as administrator, 3. Run in compatibility mode, 4. Re-install Windows, and 5. Re-install both Parallels Desktop and Windows. I really don't want to play Sims 3 in Mac OS because here is still a lot of glitches. :s Please help. Thanks in advance.68Views0likes0Comments
