Will the rats, roaches, and leaking pipes ever stop? (Resolved w/Mod! Updated Orig Post.)
The reason I'm asking is because I didn't realize they were there until after I totally remodeled that fixer upper "the TLC" apartment. I like what I did and I don't want to move. I spent all day remodeling that apartment plus everything is updated ( electrical, plumbing). I backed up my game files which I always recommend, placed the EnableDebugCheats mod. Loaded my game then proceeded to remove the plumbing pipes, electrical box, mouse holes, and floor drain. Saved my game then closed Origin. Clear my cache files then restarted my game. Went back to my save and everything stayed gone. Now on to playing in a regular apartment without all the additional nonscense. Note: I'm still waiting to see "if" the rat pee odor or the roaches spawn later. I'm hoping neither will with the other objects already gone. But so far so good. I am one happy simmer! :D --------------------- Update: Nov 8, 2016 Those objects (mice/rat odor and roaches) did spawn again. I was able to remove both with the mod. I think the apartment is now free of all those items. However, I will have to continue playing to know for sure. Alien Abduction/Mpreg stuff...?
So I know male pregnancy is possible with GTW but I can't figure out how. I tried having my sim look through the observatory in hopes of getting abducted and coming back pregnant but I don't even know if that will work. CAN human sims get pregnant by getting abducted? Or do I actually have to HOOK UP with an alien NPC? My Sim is already in a relationship with another guy, and since I can't have legitimate mpreg right now between the two of them, since all the mods are broken, I thought I'd try getting him abducted...
Is there a cheat for editing dorms?
I am really disappointed in Discover University (at least compared to what we were able to do with previous University-style Sims packs). I would love to add things to my sim's dorm like easels so they could paint pictures to raise some extra spending cash but we can't use the Buy mode while living in the dorms. Is there a cheat we can use that would unlock this?
Birthday cake without making it??
My sim lives off grid but wants to have a birthday party at his home lot. Is there any way cheats/mods or anything, that would let me either buy a cake or spawn one? I tried buy debug but I could only find slices of cake. I tried KawaiiStacie but when they brought the cake home it had a slice missing so I couldn't put candles on it. Does anyone have any ideas? I really miss just being able to buy a cake!! Why oh why can't we just buy a cake?? (can you tell I've spent AGES trying to figure this out? I keep having to cheat money to be able to buy a fridge and cooker, turn the off the grid trait off, to then bake one - but it really ruins the general vibe of my game :/ All thoughts and ideas welcome!
Does this cheat ..unlocksentitlement.. create any problems if used?
bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement I got frustrated with not being able to use all the objects and used this cheat. I haven't played a game with them installed yet as I am still decorating my large house with them. Does it have a bad effect on gameplay? It would be a shame if it does as I get great pleasure being able to use everything.
Can I stop my world from auto-populating?
I've been trying to build a world where all of the Sims in it are ones I've made myself, but the game keeps moving in new families and messing it up! I've tried to turn off "Fill empty homes" but now they're just walking around everywhere instead, and yeah, the houses are empty. Is there a way to stop them from being generated altogether?
