New MySims Avatars for EA Forums
Hi everyone, forum admin here! I just made several MySims avatars available. To switch your avatar click on your name in the upper right-hand side of the forum. You should now be able to select "My Settings" where you can click the little edit pen to change your avatar. Enjoy! /Spectre
NPC stuck in MySims Kingdom
I’m running into an issue where Vic is stuck in Rocket Reef. I’m pretty sure he needs to be able to move to trigger the next quest so I’m stuck from being able to make any progress in the game. Has anyone else encountered this issue or a similar one? Any solutions or help would be appreciated!
cutopia additional tasks
i rescued violet after being kidnapped but she only came down in a glitch. as she was starting to walk across the bridge piece she got stuck so i removed it and she automatically came down. i didn’t get the cut scene after this and now i can’t access the additional tasks to give poppy her flowers and the armour for spencer. i have finished the additional tasks on the other islands so really do not want to restart!!
Audio and other Bugs/Changes
Been playing through a bit of both games and noticed some bugs or changes compared to the original Wii version of both games. MySims: Buildings that had two songs will play either one or the other on repeat instead of going back and forth. Unless intentional, building furniture or houses will play the same song on repeat instead of switching to the other 3-4 songs compared to Wii. The game frequently played the same single song even when starting another furniture project. Some flickering with the ground when building houses or furniture. When fishing, the bobber does not go under some bubbly areas. Happens about 1/5 times. When backing out of fishing, the player sim will automatically start fishing again, having to quit a second time. MySims Kingdom: Zones and menus that had multiple songs are missing the second or third song. The first song repeats when exiting and entering the area/menu or when the song loops. (Renee’s Visitor Center, Gino’s Pad, Dr. F Lab, Travel Log Menu, Outfit Selection on Boat) Sim voices in some cutscenes can be quieter compared to Wii version. Volume is normal during gameplay. Also, countdown in Rocket Reef cutscene is missing. Not sure what the terminology is or if this is what’s causing it but may have to do with the placement of the “microphone” during cutscenes. Verified it wasn’t my TV by sending video captures to another device. Videos attached to post. Buddy and Lyndsay can get stuck in some sections of Rocket Reef. This bug was in the Wii version too. Areas include the plateau near the mining wall and the rock steps near Tobor’s bridge. These are areas NPC sims normally can’t get to without jumping. Photos attached to post. Ambient sounds would stop for a brief second before looping. Few lag spikes when talking to sims but nothing game breaking, normally happens when the game is about to autosave. Not sure if everything here can be considered a bug like the music tracks stuff for both games, but I wanted to make sure. Still having a great time going through these games again, and I do like the new controls and reduced loading times.
Filbert
I've completed the task in my sims kingdom to make Filbert a new home. After this, I'm asked to find Filbert. All the npcs say they can see him but he wasn't in the cut scene and I can't find him on the map. I've searched the entire map for him. I've tried closing and reloading the game, and visiting other islands to see if it will help but no luck. Is this a glitch?Tobor has fallen off the cliff and is stuck - Game now softlocked
Hi all Is there any fix or way around the issue where Tobor falls off the cliff and gets stuck during the billboard task ? I am unable to move on without this and i REALLY don’t want to start again for something that shouldn’t have happened 😢 Thanks in advance!
Lags and Bugs - game not playable for me
Hello everyone, I have the problem that my game often lags and freezes while playing. The freezes are about 1-2 seconds long and quickly dissappear again. I also have the issue that sometimes building objects are not interactable. A restart often fixes the problem but it is always coming back. The things I already did to troubleshoot: restarting the game, restarting the console, reinstalling the game, used different internet connection methods (different wifi and hotspot), tried handheld and TV mode. None of the above helped me. I tried them all multiple times. Nintendo refuses a refund unless I get the info, that currently there is no solution for that problem. So my question is, is there a method I haven't tried yet or can anyone help me? The EA Support chat gave me a link to this forum to ask for a possible solutionStuck in Rocket Reef
I was almost finished with Rocket Reef and just completed the final task of building the rocket. But the game glitched when I kept adding to my rocket after it told me I completed the task (20 Rocket Essences) and skipped the cutscene for Vic going into space. I’ve talked to each character and they all say things like “wow! Can’t believe it worked” even though I didn’t see the launch they’re referring to. I cannot interact with the rocket to have it take me into space, either. Nothing triggers the completion of the island and unlocking of the next two islands…. I don’t know what to do. I restarted my game, and the switch. I have moved characters, checked my tasks (everything is completed sans the fishing task and the science scroll with the 8-balls) and even rebuilt the rocket 3 times :( what should I do to unlock the next two islands? At this point I don’t even care about Vic’s figurine task. I just want to progress the story:((
MySims Kingdom Bug
Does anyone else have this issue and know how to fix it? I am stuck right in the beginning of the game at the "House Party!" task. The prompt that says "Press B to delete a block you're holding." will not leave the screen no matter what i do and it will not let me progress any further in game. I completely close out of the game and try to open it again and again and it doesnt fix it. Very frustrating!
