Store content won't show up in game
Ever since I switched from origin to the EA app I haven't been able to use my store content. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, downloading the content inside the game. I've tried just about everything I can. It shows that my content has downloaded but doesn't show up in the game. I've since stopped playing the game because I can't access the stuff I paid for.Cannot download nor install Sims 3 Store content
I have been working on this issue for about 2 years now. My previous thread on AHQ is gone now that AHQ is gone, so I am starting a new thread here. I am running Windows 11 on a gaming PC. I have not been able to get Sims 3 working since I transferred it over from my old Windows 7 PC 2 years ago. The problem has been the store content that I purchased. It does not recognize any of the worlds, lots, or objects that I purchased. I have worked on this in bursts between playing Sims 4, basically until I get so thoroughly aggravated that I quit. But now I am trying again as all of the recent Sims 1 and 2 game-play has made me nostalgic. Here is what I have done. I started fresh by completely uninstalling my Sims 3 games. Then I went and reinstalled all of the games and DLC. I did this over a couple of weeks so I would only download one or two dlc at a time. When I checked my launcher after moving my download file folder back in, I kept getting error messages when I tried to install. The first screenshot is of the error I was getting at this point. I did a factory reset. I followed the instructions from https://forums.ea.com/discussions/the-sims-3-technical-issues-en/faq-the-sims-3-store/8157313 and https://forums.ea.com/discussions/the-sims-3-technical-issues-en/faq-troubleshooting-steps/8067175. [FAQ] The Sims 3 Store | EA Forums - 8157313[FAQ] Troubleshooting Steps | EA Forums - 8067175 The problem I am having is that when I hit download in my purchase history, the EA app starts and the Sims 3 launcher starts. However, I get the pop-up to sign in but it will not accept my password. I type the password, hit ok, the pop up disappears and then reappears. If I cancel it all out, nothing happens regarding the download. I tried opening the launcher first and signing in. Then I went back to the store and hit download. Even though the launcher shows me a signed in, I kept getting the pop up to sign in. You can see this in the second screenshot that I attached. I am using Firefox and have cleared my cache repeatedly between steps. I have been looking through all of the old posts regarding store content, and have tried everything I can think of. I tried moving the downloaded store files from my backup into the corresponding folders that were just created but they are not getting recognized. So I went back to trying to download fresh again, but it will not download anything because I get stuck in the log-in pop-up loop in the launcher. I would really appreciate some advice/help on this. Thank you in advance.18Views0likes1CommentOpen Water Issues Sims 3 64bit+Metal
For years, mac users not being able to interact with open water in the Sims 3 has been a problem. I am just wondering if there has been any workaround yet or if EA has plans to do something because I love this game and I wish I could play it to its fullest on Mac.16Views0likes1CommentAll CC not working, not even nointro.package
I just downloaded Showtime, Late Night, World Adventures, and a bunch of CC, but now my CC is no longer working (both old and new). It doesn't appear in game, and even the regular no intro mod doesn't function. I'm assuming the problem isn't the new CC because of solution #1 down below Things I've checked/tried: Removed all CC and put them in a different folder, leaving only nointro.package in the folder. No intro still doesn't work Went into properties and unblocked all files Deleted the five cache files each time I restarted the game to check if it worked All CC are in Documents → Electronic Arts → The Sims 3 → Mods → Packages Checked the patch version. This might explain some of the CC, but according to the Mod the Sims guide, the no intro mod should always work regardless of the patch All mods are updatedGame crashing
I was playing my game fine last night, until I throw a house party in my sims 3 and it crashed and every time I go back in and the party is still going because I saved it, it will crash again as soon as I get in. I do have expansions packs no mods. What is causing it and what do I do ? Please and thank youSims 3 sim is sometimes fully nude without being censored...
Hello! I currently play the Sims 3 via the EA app on MacOS. Following the recent update, the main issue I'm having is that one of my adult sims will change clothes sometimes (not any specific wear) and he will show up fully nude without his private area being censored. During gameplay, he can go anywhere and do anything which is really uncomfortable as one could imagine.37Views0likes3CommentsA "serious error" has occurred [TS3]
Hey there I just had a fresh install of Sims 3 + Island Paradise expansion with no other expansions, no other packs and no custom content downloaded; Following that I am unable to load Sunset Valley or Island Paradise worlds, receiving "A Serious Error" has occured and requires application restart; I have tried uninstalling-reinstalling multiple times, repairing with the EA app; tried running it through steam; and none have seem to give a fix. Furthermore, I have looked around for other solutions around the web and found no solution, no downloads of the worlds, When checking the folder in \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\InstalledWorlds - the folder is empty. Unsure what else to do; If there are downloads for the worlds available that I may try please let me know!Sims 3 Worlds Won't Load
I recently downloaded all my Sims games, including the Sims 3. It previously worked with no issues but now every time I try and load a world it loads super quick, which never would happen, and it says "A serious error has occurred while loading 'worldname'. It is strongly recommended that you restart the application. Ive "repaired" it and restarted the game and it still doesn't work. I don't have any mods or cc downloaded but yet its not working at all. All my other Sims games work but not the Sims 3. I should mention I was playing yesterday and it worked perfectly fine.Solved120Views2likes3CommentsSims 3 Never works
