MADDEN 26-27 IMPROVEMENT IDEAS
This is a thread I wanted to start so everyone on here can have their ideas seen and heard by EA_Shepard and other EA Staff while also having a single, organized place to share them. This in turn makes it easier to read and organize these thoughts in order to pass on to dev teams. Please be respectful and feel free to put down anything you would want to see in a coming update or in newer games to come. I'll start by adding these ideas: Downloadable Rosters & Draft Classes from past years for nostalgic Franchises. Customizable Divisions and Schedules like what is found in CFB (Great for Fantasy). Reincluding the option of Coaching Legends for Coach Mode (Also Great for Fantasy). Possibly reinclude custom facial uploads for custom coaches in Coach Mode. Revamped and reincluded Player/Owner Modes. - Ultimately to summarize this: For Owner Mode, I'd like to see Team Builder tied more exclusively to a new version of this where customization of everything from the ground up is key for the most customizable experience ever. For Player Mode, I'd like what little works well within Superstar to be tied to a new, revamped Player Mode, where the storylines and cutscenes are more included here, and less in other modes. This would include being able to choose an existing player within a franchise, and focus exclusively on their career; OR, create a new player and start as you would within Superstar. I'd like to see Team Builder weaved into relocation for all online modes and somehow introduced into offline. Inclusion of holding the L2/LT to Switch Stick to minimize switching by accident, especially while trying to pass rush. Include more cities and teams for Relocation. Cities where franchises already exist like Miami, LA, or Detroit, as well as new ones like Boston, Phoenix, or Birmingham. More Stadium options for Relocation. Reinclude Build a Stadium within Team Builder. I'm talking from scratch...not just editing the field. Reinclude the ability to edit and create more custom uniform combinations. Within the Edit Rosters section of the Creation Center, more flexibility to edit a player's contract, abilities, etc, would be nice. Better Training Camp - Introduce some ability to gain physical STR, SPD, AGI, COD, by introducing some of the game found in Superstar like the 3Cone, Weightlifting, 40YD, etc. - This is where mini-games shine. Make games open for more players to train and have them more focused on gaining skill points and less on XP and Rookie Reps. This is a great way to help maintain the physical ability of Vets, or take your high-level Superstars to the next level. Revamp Weekly Training - Make this less focused on mini-games and tie it more to Practice Mode and gaining XP/Rookie Reps. The way the have Wear & Tear worked into this is nice; Now just optimize it. Optimize Coach Central and Coaching Abilities. - It's a bit to type but my thoughts on this can be found in my "M26 Franchise Feedback thread" thread. I feel that's a pretty good start for now. Hopefully this is helpful for anyone that reads and I look forward to seeing more thoughts and ideas shared here!
Defense: Add two buttons for swat, one for each hand
This has always been a minor annoyance -Why is my DB swatting with the wrong hand? From pop-warner, DB's are taught to swat with the inside arm, so that the outside arm is able to make a tackle if you miss the swat. This results in sometimes the DB mysteriously swatting behind the receiver: https://youtu.be/SKp3rsOq54g Solution: - Add intelligence to the animation to use the correct hand or Add a settings menu toggle to allow for some kind of modifier that allows the user to swat with either the left or right hand. When this is enabled, L1 & R1 become left swat & right swat, respectively, while X remains just a normal swat driven by the animation engine. I don't believe L1 & R1 are used in pass defense today.
Tired Old Game
Are we gonna see actual improvements come madden 27? Why is oline play still terrible why has my secondary got worse and worse year to year like you guys cant make any improvements? Superstar mode breaks got olineman subbed in at cb2 you guys do nothing about it😂 you should all be unemployed its crazy you guys get a check actual frauds.Rushing Record Breaker and Passing Record Breaker not working.
EA_Kent i don't if anyone is gonna read this, but the reason these trophies/achievements are not working is because the Yardage tracker in franchise mode stops tracking yardage after reaching about 1,023 yards, effectively preventing the trophies/achievements from unlocking, can you guys maybe try to fix the yardage tracker before abandoning this game? First, what I wish is more accessories and no limits for to put accessories. I can name you all the accessories I want. Forest is a turtleneck, then is to be able to have shorts and I’m showing your knees. I like a way to get updated shoes and change the color of the shoes hanging your mouthpieces because I know the community has been beefing. I want custom advisors for different kind of players a while weekly face scan changes so if somebody changes their hair one week y’all would change it please update jerseys and players after draft classes or any NFL event this will make it more fun. Also, can y’all work some deals? I’ll pull some strings and let Sony console players use mods if you’re not gonna do what I just said, speaking on accessories I would like every week after a game or every day that players drip will get updated and that’s my wish list. Also, I would like franchise to be more fresh Seymour good and let us do more features like Raiders have a bug where it keeps going on John Madden, no matter what so yeah that’s basically my wish listMadden getting a mode like Clubs in FC
When will madden finally take a jump like we got in FIFA (now FC)? I mean could you imagine how much fun it’d be to go in with friends and play head to head against others? EA already has the blueprint. I’ve heard people talk about it countless times getting a mycareer mode like 2k where you can play head to head with friends against other groups. EA has already made that a reality in FC so why have we still yet to see this happen in Madden? It can work the same way they did it in clubs. You make characters at different positions and pick them accordingly with your group. You can play random and pick a position as they do as well. You play your games and the better your team performs the more you rank up and the more you can improve your players. The blueprint is set, can we please bring something fresh and fun so Madden can finally make the comeback it has needed for years now?!Linemen Superstar/Road to glory
Ea, please, ADD OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE LINEMAN POSITIONS TO CAREER MODE! A idea could be for offensive lineman blocking machines be different, such as, holding L2 and hitting R1 to do a certain type of block and other L2 combating for different types of blocks. And for pancakes I think L2 + R2 + R1 + L1 does a rush block to well “ pancake “. For player playstyles or architectures I have a few ideas. 1: Power : Muscular or heavy build at 6’3 minimum 280+ with highest stats being strength, power blocking and balance. Best skill to use : Rush Block ( pancake assertive block ) 2. Rapid: Slim or average, based off speed 5’11 minimum 190+ based off acceleration and explosiveness, highest stats being speed and drive blocking 3. Balanced: Average or muscular 6’1 minimum 230+ well rounded with highest stats being set. Dear Madden NFL Development Team, I’ve been a loyal Madden player for years, and one of the most enjoyable features for me has always been the ability to play Franchise as a single player through “Player Mode.” In Madden 26, I was disappointed to find that Franchise Mode is now coach-only, with no option to lock into a player for an entire career. This change removes a unique and immersive way to experience the game, and it has significantly impacted how much I enjoy playing. I’m respectfully asking that you consider restoring Player Mode as an optional setting in a future update for Madden 26, or at least confirm that it will return in Madden 27. Even if resources are focused on Coach Mode, simply giving players the choice to experience Franchise as a player would make a huge difference. I played Madden football for years on consoles and the game had it's ups and downs but it was still fun to play overall. I took a break from madden (about 3 years) because I played MUT (Madden Ultimate Team) and the transactions and lack of activity was getting bad. I had heard it was better this year so i pre ordered the game, but this time on PC because i no longer have any consoles. WOW!! What a mistake! First off you only can have one account, so my kids cant have their own MUT accounts and teams, i would have to buy 3 more copies of the game. Second the auction house is horrific. There aren't a lot of players on PC so getting the cards you need is sometimes almost impossible. EA can fix this with cross auction house or putting cards on the block themselves to make it fair. Also if even though reading this you still want to buy the game, buy it from steam so you can use the steam deck or the app. The game is not fun for me because of those reasons, I guess i Just threw $100 down the drain.
