IS THIS LAPTOP GOOD ENOUGH TO RUN SIMS 3 SMOOTHLY?!
Help! I just spent over $100 on add-ons for my sims 3 and my current laptop isn't fast enough to run it, it goes to a black screen everytime I try and hit play on the launcher! And I'm on a budget so I'm looking for a cheap laptop in my price range that is equipped to run sims 3 without issues I have 7 add-ons and I use mods and cc This is the one I was looking at ... Advice ?!Unable to Log In through the launcher?
I logged in just fine yesterday, and when I'm in the game, my profile shows up. I'm trying to upload some screenshots and it just keeps kicking me back to the login screen. Similar was happening on the Store page, it'd send me to the main landing page, and clicking Log In reloaded it. Going to a different page or my profile, I was logged in just fine.Solved15Views0likes1CommentIssue with Missing Late Night Expansion Pack in The Sims 3 Launcher
I am writing to report an issue I am facing withThe Sims 3 on the EA app. Specifically, the Late Night expansion pack is not showing up in the Sims 3 Launcher, despite being listed as "already installed" in the Add-On Manager. Here are the steps I’ve taken to resolve the problem: Reinstalled the game and all expansion packs, including Late Night, but the missing DLC still does not appear in the launcher. Reset my EA account password, thinking it might be an account-related issue, but the problem persists. Cleared the cache from the EA app and ran the game as an administrator. I had no issues with the Late Night expansion pack back in 2020 when I used to play The Sims 3. However, after uninstalling everything and deciding to play again, this issue has arisen. I’ve checked the Add-On Manager, and it shows the Late Night expansion pack as installed, but it does not appear in the Sims 3 Launcher, and I cannot access the content in-game. Could you please assist me in resolving this issue? I would appreciate any troubleshooting steps or guidance to help get the Late Night expansion pack back into my game. Thank you for your time and support.Solved37Views0likes3Commentsdownloaded households from exchange
Hey, where do my downloaded households from exchange show up?? ive checked premade sims in cas, Households section from edit town mode, and honestly im a bit lost, it says installed in launcher, and any other time ive downloaded content from exchange ive never had issues finding anything, although i am pretty sure this is the first time ive downloaded an actual household and not individual sims from there so im probably just not looking in the right place.Solved42Views0likes4CommentsMissing Studio Content
Recently I was looking for an older build in my studio when I noticed that it was absent, along with many other uploads. Most of them were older builds, however some were within the last 2 years. I know what I have deleted. I had some computer problems where I had to completely re-install and so I uploaded them as safeguards. I have 2 now, one with store content and the other without, but that is another story I won't go into. 🤬The team on Cape Albacore remembers this, I am sure. lol. Has anyone else noticed this has happened to them? I am sure this is recent; I would guess within the last 3 months as I often poke around in my studio seeing what I can improve or to Dl to my other system.Solved80Views0likes7CommentsThe Sims 3 Laggy and low quality on newer Graphics card
Hello :) So I have had the sims 3 for years, but back then I had a older crappy laptop that ran sims 3 at a decent FPS and quality just fine to where I did not have to alter any settings. Now in 2024, I have a gaming pc with a Gefore RTX 4060 graphics card and I'm having issues getting it to work with Sims 3. I have attempted to get this to work many times earlier this year before giving up, so my sims 3 I think already recognizes my graphics card, my device config log says: === Application info === Name: Sims3 Version: Build: Release === Rating info === GPU: 5 GPU Memory: 4 CPU: 4 RAM: 4 CPU Speed: 3693 Threading: 3 Adjusted CPU: 4524 RAM: 16257 Adjusted RAM: 15745 Cores: 16 === Machine info === OS version: Windows 8 6.2.9200 OS prod type: 0 OS major ver: 6 OS minor ver: 2 OS SP major ver: 0 OS SP minor ver: 0 OS is 64Bit: 1 CPU: AuthenticAMD Brand: AMD Ryzen 7 5700 Family: 15 Model: 0 Cores: 16 HT: 0 x64: 0 Memory: 16257MB Free memory: 11521MB User: Computer: === Graphics device info === Number: 0 Name (driver): NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Name (database): GeForce RTX 4060 [Found: 1, Matched: 1] Vendor: NVIDIA Chipset: Vendor: 10de, Device: 2882, Board: 89361043, Chipset: 00a1 Driver: nvldumd.dll, Version: 32.0.15.5599, GUID: D7B71E3E-6BC2-11CF-2C66-39A90EC2ED35 Driver version: 5599 I am not sure if this has anything to do with the graphic rules but most tutorials on youtube have not seemed to help me, if anyone can explain how I can finally get my sims 3 to work. It lags and has low quality with and without mods or cc despite it being on the highest settings. Thank you so much for your help!Double installation on C and OneDrive??
I have a rather weird problem with my installation, or at least I think it's weird. I decided to uninstall the game because it kept crashing after being stuck on a black screen, and when I wanted to reinstall via the EA app, I noticed two things: The suggested installation path is C\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 3 There also seems to be an installation in OneDrive\Documents\Electronic Arts This is very confusing because even after uninstalling the game, the files on OneDrive are still there - I don't even know why the game has been installed there to begin with. I have aborted the reinstallation because I suspect that having this weird double installation (if it even is one) might cause problems. My question is: Can I just ditch all the files in OneDrive (maybe with a backup...) and then reinstall the game on my C drive? I've never had such a weird problem before, so any advice would be very much appreciated. DxDiag file is attached.Solved42Views0likes4Comments
