EA SPORTS FC 25 | Training Camp Evolutions
Today in Football Ultimate Team we’ll be introducing Training Camp Evolutions, a passive way to upgrade your Football Ultimate Team Player Items through the Web and Mobile Companions. Training Camp Evolutions will appear alongside other Evolutions, but they function a little differently and do not count towards the active Evolutions limit. When you submit an eligible Player Item for a Training Camp Evolution, that Player Item will be unavailable to use in gameplay for a set period of time until it’s upgraded, but it can still be viewed in your Club. When that set amount of time passes, your Evolution will have the corresponding upgrades applied once you claim it, and it can be used in gameplay once again. Some Training Camp Evolutions may even let you do further upgrades over time, enabling you to claim multiple levels of upgrades for the submitted Player Item. You’ll also be able to cancel an active Training Camp Evolution if you change your mind about it, but note that this will result in your Player Item not getting any unearned upgrades, and the Evolution you had previously put a Player Item into will no longer be available. Once a Training Camp Evolution is active and until it is complete, it can only be cancelled and there is no way to temporarily pause it. Training Camp Evolutions are intended to be a bite-sized FC experience you can interact with when you’re not actively playing FC 25 and are only available to get on Web and Mobile Companions. However, you are able to view your active Training Camp Evolution details and claim completed levels in-game on console/PC as well. You will also be able to view available Training Camp Evolutions in-game on console/PC prior to submitting an item on the Companion App. Collecting your upgraded Player Item can be done both in-game and through the Companions, but note that claiming a completed level for your Player Item will automatically start the next level of the Evolution, if it is available. Training Camp Evolutions will be introduced during Fantasy FC, with smaller upgrades intended to help familiarise yourself with this new system. Frequently Asked Questions How can I activate a Training Camp Evolution? Training Camp Evolutions can only be activated on the Web and Mobile Companions within the Evolutions section. Please note you are required to log out of your Football Ultimate Team on Console/PC before you are able to view your Football Ultimate Team on the Mobile or Web Companion App. Do Training Camp Evolutions count towards my active Evo limit? No, Training Camp Evolutions do not count towards your active Evo limit. For example, you are able to have two active in-progress Evolutions at the same time as a Training Camp Evolution. Training Camp Evolutions have their own separate limit which is currently set at one. How long do Training Camp Evolutions take to complete? Training Camp Evolutions can be as short as a few hours to longer than 30 days. The level of rewards received will generally align with the amount of time required to complete the Training Camp Evolution, so longer Evos may require more substantial time to earn. Can I use my Training Camp Evolution in-game while it is in progress? No. You will be unable to use an item that is in an active Training Camp Evolution in-game until the time specified on the Evolution has passed. If you try to enter a match with a Player Item that is currently in an active Training Camp Evolution, you will receive a message prompting you to remove the Item from your Squad before you begin matchmaking. You are able to cancel the Training Camp Evolution to return your Player Item’s in-game eligibility, however, you will not be able to receive any unearned upgrades and will not be able to restart the same Training Camp Evolution slot with another Player Item. Are Training Camp Evolutions free? Similar to standard Evolutions, Training Camp Evolutions may be offered with or without in-game currency requirements. Cancelled Training Camp Evolutions will not give players the rewards from the remaining levels, and players will not receive any FC Points or Coins used on the Evolution. Can I start a Training Camp Evolution with an in-progress, standard Evolution? No, you will not be able to use in-progress Evolutions to start a Training Camp Evolution. However, you can put Items created through a standard Evolution into a Training Camp Evolution if it meets all requirements. Thanks for checking out our Training Camp Evolutions Pitch Notes! We look forward to hearing your feedback on them. – The EA SPORTS FC Team555Views0likes0CommentsEA SPORTS FC 25 | Features Update
The Features Update (Title Update #9) will release for EA SPORTS FC 25 in the coming days, and it’s going to address a handful of issues while enabling us to release a number of new updates in the near future, including: Increase of active Evolution slots to 2. New OVR Search Filter in Football Ultimate Team. Progress around players getting wins when Football Ultimate Team matches end early. Slightly updated Starter Packs for new Football Ultimate Team clubs. We saw your positive reactions to the previous Gameplay Refresh Update and want to make sure we’re maintaining a consistent gameplay experience, so we are not making any changes to the balance of the game in this update. We’re addressing a stability issue during throw ins, and updating our Simulation Mode slider presets to better pair offline play with some of the tuning changes from the past update. We’re continuing to review your feedback around gameplay and will make further updates based on it in the future. Active Evolution Increase And Updated Starter Packs We’ve heard your feedback about wanting to do more Evolutions, and we’ll soon be increasing how many active Evolutions you can have at any given time to 2. Additionally, we’re going to be slightly updating Starter Packs for brand new Football Ultimate Team clubs following a near-future Server Release. Of course, new Clubs will still need to build towards their dream squad like before, but the updated Packs are more reflective of the current point in the season. New OVR Search Filter In Football Ultimate Team We continue to update Football Ultimate Team search filters whenever we can based on your feedback, and with TU #9 we’re adding the ability to search by OVR ranges in your Club, SBCs, Rush, and Evolutions. Here’s how the new filter looks in action: Updated Match Outcomes In Football Ultimate Team We have heard the community's frustration about not receiving a win when an opponent leaves a tied Football Ultimate Team match. This is a complex space, and we want to ensure fair competitive play. When we change how players get wins, draws, or losses, exploits may occur, impacting fair play, so we must be careful about how we make these changes. With that said, we want to try to make progress here, so in an upcoming Server Release, we’ll update how some online match outcomes are determined. Here is the change: Introduced new match outcome logic that can result in you receiving a match win when opponents quit during a tied scoreline. This change applies to solo Ultimate Team Division Rivals and Champions play, as well as Ultimate Team Division Rivals co-op play. There are a couple of key elements to call out about this change. First, this will only apply when a player uses the Quit option from the in-game Pause Menu when one of the following conditions are met: 45 or more minutes have passed. The quitting player concedes a penalty kick. The quitting player has received a red card. Second, there is a limit to how many times a player will be able to receive a win in this scenario. The change includes a cooldown period, and you’ll be informed in-game with a pop-up message when that limit has been reached. When released, this will be set to 5 in a 24 hour period, which resets at 00:00 GMT daily. Our aim, as always, is to provide a safe and fun environment free from cheating. Therefore, what is listed here, including the daily limits, may change based on our analysis and/or observations that these changes are negatively impacting the player experience. While our goal is to eventually be able to address all ways of leaving a tied match, such as a disconnect, we need to first monitor how this change is being used by players and how it’s impacting the Ultimate Team experience. We understand that this change will not resolve all the cases where the community has expressed frustration. However, we want to be able to make progress here, and our learnings from this initial change will help inform any further potential changes. Thanks for checking out our Features Update Pitch Notes! And just as a reminder, the Features Update contains no changes and updates to any core gameplay systems like shooting or passing, for example. – The EA SPORTS FC 25 Team408Views0likes0CommentsEA SPORTS FC™ 25 | First Frost
Welcome to the First Frost Update for EA SPORTS FC™ 25. With this update we’re looking to address community feedback around most areas of the game while bringing a fresh layer of strategy and personalization to the game, including: New Player Roles and Focuses Shorter Rush matches and new Player Items in Ultimate Team Career Mode and Clubs updates A new winter menu theme Whether you're preparing for the next big match in Career Mode, competing in Football Ultimate Team, or enjoying the camaraderie in Clubs, our goal with this update is to turn your feedback into changes and have something new for everyone. Let's dive into the details. Table Of Contents Rush Updates Based On Your Feedback Gameplay Updates Based On Your Feedback And FC IQ Football Ultimate Team Career Mode Clubs Visual Update Rush Updates Based On Your Feedback Match Length Decrease In Ultimate Team We’re decreasing the match length for Rush in Football Ultimate Team from 7 minutes to 5 minutes. We’ve heard your feedback on some Rush matches feeling like they’re too long, and we’ve seen this reflected in our data as well. In 95% of all seven-minute Rush matches in Football Ultimate Team, the team leading by the 5th minute ended up winning the match. We believe that the decreased match length will make for faster-paced gameplay while still allowing for those rewarding comeback moments. Improving Idling Detection In Ultimate Team and Clubs We’ve seen a subset of players engage in undesirable idling behaviour in Rush UT and Clubs matches and heard your feedback about how frustrating this can be. We’re committed to continuing to improve this space and this update is our first step towards addressing this unwanted behavior. We have improved the system used to detect idling players, which will increase the likelihood of inactive players being kicked from the match. Players can expect to see warning pop-ups triggered more often for idle behavior, and the systems detecting idle behavior will not reset when the ball goes out of play. Additionally, being in the pause menu will also contribute to players being seen as idle. Gameplay And FC IQ Gameplay Updates Based On Your Feedback To keep gameplay fresh and fun, here are some of the updates we’re introducing based on community feedback: Improved defensive logic for tracking runs during Kick Offs. We’ve seen from the community that kick offs can be too challenging to defend against in certain situations, and with this update we’re looking to improve how defenders track attacking runs that happen right after a kick off. With this update, defenders can track runs deeper, and we’ll continue to closely monitor kick offs and your feedback around them. Slightly increased speed and consistency for the Stop And Turn (While Running) Skill Move when performed by 3 Star Skill Move players. With this change, the intent is to make the Stop And Turn (While Running) feel more authentic when performed by players with a lower Skill Move rating. Previously, it felt a little more sluggish than intended. Slightly increased speed of Drag Backs. Slightly increased speed and consistency of Jog Fake Shots when performed by 3 Star Skill Move players and above. Similarly to the previous point, we’ve seen that Drag Backs and Jog Fake Shots could have felt a little slower than intended, so this change aims to make them more useful and satisfying to pull off. Improved consistency for the Stop And Turn (While Running), Roulette, Heel To Heel, and Feint and Exit Skill Moves when performed by 2 Star Skill Move players. We understand that these Skill Moves could have sometimes felt too punishing to perform with 2 Star Skill Move players, so we’ve made them more consistent with the goal of enabling you to play more expressively. Slightly increased speed and consistency of Jog Fake Shots when performed by 3 Star Skill Move players and above. Slightly decreased the speed of Jog Body Feints. We’ve seen that Jog Body Feints could have been too hard to read at times, so lowering their speed slightly should maintain their explosiveness while enabling defenders to react appropriately in a more authentic manner. Attacking players can now come back to an onside position quicker than before. The community has expressed that players sometimes stay in offside positions for longer than expected, so this change aims to make attackers more authentic with their offside positioning. Slightly increased the window of time in which a Directed Run can be requested. This change is aimed at making Directed Runs a little more accessible and useful for more players than before. A Player Switch can now be requested during passes while in Player Lock. This is new functionality based on feedback we continue to receive around Player Lock. We want to ensure that Player Lock remains a useful tool in your arsenal and are making it more flexible with this change. To view the full list of gameplay changes and issues addressed, check out our full TU #6 notes on the EA SPORTS FC Tracker. Future Gameplay Updates Based On Your Feedback We’re also actively investigating several issues we know are of concern to the community, and are working to address them in future updates. That list includes, but is not limited to: Scoring on corners First time Power Shots First time Lobbed Through Passes Jog Dribbles We’ll look to provide an update on these areas when one becomes available. FC IQ - New Roles And Focuses We're introducing an expansion to FC IQ Player Roles and several quality of life improvements aimed at enhancing the tactical depth and player experience within FC 25. Two new Player Roles have been added: The Classic 10 for the CAM position, a traditional attacking midfielder who is the main hook of attacking play. The Wide Half for the CDM position, a defensive player who covers the sides of the pitch and can help in build-up play. To further diversify strategic options, thirteen new Focuses have been introduced: Build-Up for various positions Aggressive for center-backs Ball-Winning for holding midfielders Support to improve the versatility of certain Roles Here is the full list of all new Roles and Focuses: CAM - Classic 10 Focus: Attack, Wide CDM - Wide Half Focus: Defend, Build-Up Focuses GK - Sweeper Keeper - Build-Up CB - Stopper - Aggressive CB - Ball-Playing Defender - Aggressive RB/LB - Wingback - Support CDM - Holding - Ball-Winning CDM - Deep-Lying Playmaker - Build-Up CM - Holding - Ball-Winning CM - Deep-Lying Playmaker- Build-Up RM/LM - Wide Playmaker - Build-Up CAM - Playmaker - Build-Up RW/LW - Wide Playmaker - Build-Up ST - Poacher - Support ST - Advanced Forward - Support To learn more about the new Roles/Focuses in FC IQ, please visit the FC IQ Deep Dive. Additionally, we're implementing quality of life improvements, such as the ability to toggle between With Ball / Without Ball Views when checking the Tactical Presets screen. These enhancements are part of our ongoing effort to provide tactical updates and improve the overall player experience, with plans to monitor your feedback and adjust accordingly. Football Ultimate Team New Player Items First Frost Update brings 101 Players Items to the Football Ultimate Team pool of items that will become available following a Squad Update that will come shortly after the First Frost Update. The newly available Player Items include fan favourites such as David De Gea, Mats Hummels, Alexis Sanchez and Sergi Roberto. New House Rule Mode in Live UT Friendly - Max Tactics Following a Server Release after the First Frost Update, we’ll be introducing Max Tactics to Live UT Friendlies. With the goal of focusing on tactical gameplay, all Player Items positioned in their designated or alternate positions will receive upgrades, denoted as ++, to all Player Roles. Our intent here is to enable players to fully experience a variety of tactical options in FC IQ, try new formations, and play in new ways. New House Rules mode in Live UT Friendly - Winter Match We’ll also be introducing the Winter Match to Live UT Friendlies following a Server Release during our upcoming Winter Wildcards Campaign. This Live UT Friendly uses snowy weather physics, altering gameplay aspects such as dribbling and passing, to reflect the exciting challenges of playing in winter conditions. While playing Winter Matches players will also notice winter-themed visual treatment, with festive snow on the pitch and scoreboard. Our intent with this one is to give players a new match experience that’s in line with our winter theme both visually and gameplay wise. The Squad Builder Rarity Filter Update The Squad Builder Rarity Filter can now be used to search for all available rarities, similar to how search is done in the Transfer Market. As you’d expect, this update applies to both building a Squad to play with and building a Squad to complete an SBC with. Career Mode Youth Quality Of Life Changes Based On Your Feedback We’ve seen your feedback regarding the development of youth players We are expanding PlayStyle progression for GK youth prospects, allowing them to get one of their PlayStyles upgraded to PlayStyle+ upon reaching 80 OVR. Additionally, if you scout GK Youth Prospects with 90+ potential and 4 PlayStyles - those players will now develop two PlayStyles+! The first PlayStyle+ will be unlocked at 80 OVR and second will be unlocked at 90 OVR. Furthermore, we're extending the PlayStyles+ upgrade logic to non-academy players. Any non-academy squad player with no PlayStyle+ will get one of their PlayStyle upgraded to + version upon reaching 90 OVR. Similarly players at the end of their careers will lose PlayStyle+ upon dropping to 75 OVR. With these changes, we are looking to make youth development more rewarding and fun for players. We are also adding dedicated Development Plans for the new Player Roles introduced, the Classic 10 and Wide Half. The Youth Scouting department will also be able to focus their efforts on finding promising talent that can fulfill the two new Player Roles. New Live Start Points Following a near future Server Release, we’ll be adding new Live Start Points, including one focused on recent major matchups in the English Premier League. Live Start Points are a new way of experiencing Manager and Player Career, by starting your journey at access points based on real-world events across European league football throughout the 2024/2025 season. To learn more about Live Start Points, check out our full Pitch Notes on them. New Group of ICONs In Player Career The First Frost Update will refresh the ICON selection available in Player Career following a Squad Update. Here’s the new ICON selection, featuring some prominent Classic 10s from the past: Pelé Camille Abily Kaká Juan Román Riquelme Franck Ribéry Snow in Training Drills Career Mode players will see the introduction of winter weather in training drills if the upcoming match is held in snow conditions, offering a more authentic preparation experience. Note that with Weather Effects Setting ON it will not only change the visual atmosphere but also impact gameplay during these drills, making certain activities like dribbling more challenging. Youth and Create Your Club Face Creation Improvements Taking into account feedback from the community, we're introducing improvements to the formulas used for generating facial features and shapes of Youth Academy players and Create Your Club players. These changes apply to both new and existing saves. Clubs Double XP Events The First Frost Update will look to introduce Double XP Events in Clubs. During these events players will be able to earn XP at an accelerated pace. Additionally, we're updating the user interface within Clubs to display the 2x Multiplier clearly, ensuring players are informed when the multiplier is active. And remember, that the amount of XP earned is also based on the Match Rating - so generally the better your performance in the game, the faster you will progress. Keep an eye out for that coming soon. New Facilities We’re introducing two new Facilities - VR Room and Passing Drill. This update is intended to provide even more Facility combinations for managers to choose from when allocating their club’s Facility budget to complement the strengths of each player in the club. Here’s what these 3-Star Facilities will include: VR Room Attributes: Finishing, Short Passing PlayStyle: Long Throw Passing Drill Attributes: Long Passing, Intercept PlayStyle: Intercept As a reminder, enhancements from Facilities apply to all player-controlled clubmates and not AI-controlled clubmates during League, Playoff, and Friendly Matches. Winter Weather in Drop-Ins With the First Frost Update, players will notice snow on the pitch when playing matches in Drop-In. It's important to note that these visuals are purely aesthetic and will not impact gameplay mechanics. Visual Updates Menu Changes In the First Frost Update, FC 25 players can expect a festive transformation across the game's main menu, enhancing the holiday spirit from the moment the game launches. From players wearing long sleeves and undershirts, to snow particles, lighting changes and frost vignette on the screen, ensuring the seasonal change can be felt everywhere. New Star Heads First Frost Update brings 202 new player star heads to EA SPORTS FC 25. You can expect to see improved likenesses of players across different leagues and clubs following a Server Release after First Frost Update, including players from Ligue 1 McDonald’s: like Gianluigi Donnarumma, Jonathan David, Junya Ito, Sofiane Diop, and Deiver Machado. New Celebrations We’re bringing two new celebrations to the game, inspired by Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dusan Vlahović. These celebrations can be executed with respective players across Kick Off, Career, and Football Ultimate Team modes. These celebrations will be added to the Football Ultimate Team pool of items as well, to use with anyone in your squad. Thanks for checking out our First Frost ** Pitch Notes! We look forward to you experiencing all the new changes and additions coming to FC 25. The EA SPORTS FC Team723Views0likes0CommentsEA SPORTS FC 25 | Live Start Points
We’re excited to be launching Live Start Points in the coming days for EA SPORTS FC 25, enabling you to use and edit real world scenarios across Manager and Player Careers throughout the 2024/2025 season as the beginning of your journey. We first announced Live Start Points in our Deep Dives ahead of FC 25 launch, and in this Pitch Notes we’re going to cover in detail what the in-game experience will be like, so let’s jump right in. What Are Live Start Points? Live Start Points are a new way of experiencing Manager & Player Career, by starting your journey at access points based on real-world events across European league football throughout the 2024/2025 season. Live Start Points The following leagues will have Live Start Points available: The Premier League LALIGA EA SPORTS Serie A Enilive Bundesliga Ligue 1 McDonald’s EFL Championship Barclays Women’s Super League Liga F Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga Arkema Première Ligue Additionally, most cup competitions will be updated to reflect real-life progress, creating more authentic scenarios for your Live Start Points. The covered competitions include domestic cups in England, Italy, Germany, and France, as well as all UEFA competitions in their current formats: UEFA Champions League UEFA Europa League UEFA Europa Conference League UEFA Women's Champions League Multiple Live Start Points will be available when the feature releases, reflecting the real-life progress of these leagues and corresponding to previously played gameweeks. We’ll continue to release Live Start Points throughout the 2024/2025 season. As Live Start Points are released, be on the lookout for Snapshots in the FC 25 Main Menu, showcasing highlights of the featured European leagues’ calendar, whether it’s a showstopper fixture, a derby, a title fight, or a relegation battle. Accessing Snapshots will direct you to the Live Start Points menus by simply clicking “Take me there”. Otherwise, Live Start Points can be accessed when starting a new Career save, as long as you’re online. They’ll reflect the latest results and standings, enabling you to shape how the rest of the season unfolds. When creating a new Manager or Player Career from the FC 25 Main Menu, you'll see a new Live Start Points option, as shown below: Let’s go through the Live Start Points creation experience in both Manager and Player Career. Manager Career Once you’ve selected “Live Start Points”, you’ll be able to select your club from any of the leagues listed above. At the top of your screen you'll see several dates to choose from, enabling you to pick a preferred game week as your Live Start Point. The standings, results, and upcoming fixtures will reflect that point in time, including your club's and rivals' cup progress. It’s then up to you to create your own avatar or choose playing as a real manager, similar to the usual Manager Career experience. We’ve also introduced a squad injury and suspension editor and expanded our injury system to cover more such events in Career Mode. You have the option of viewing, removing, or editing any injuries and suspensions your squad has at that particular moment in time, meaning you can rewrite real narratives by making your players unavailable due to injury or suspension, all before you start your career. For example, who knows how Liverpool’s start to the season would have gone should some of their key players be unavailable? With injury and suspension editing, we want to give you more control over the types of stories that can be created in Career Mode. Once you’re all set up, you can advance to start your career while we load the real-life results and data. You’ll see real-world data coming in on your Career loading screen, as shown below, in the lower part of the screen. At this point you’ll be prompted to create your new Live Start Points save file, and that’s it for setting up your Career Mode journey. You’re now ready to experience a football story unique to you. Player Career Similarly, when creating a New Player Career and selecting Live Start Points, you’ll be prompted with a selection screen as shown below. Pick the team you want to play for, and choose the point in time you want to get involved. Gameweeks are identical across both Manager and Player Careers, as are the results and standings you can start from. You’ll have access to all of the usual Player Career options, from Created Player to Real Players and Icons. Once you’ve decided who you want to play as, start your career while we load up the data and set up the world. Then you’ll be prompted to create your save file and can jump into the action. Thanks for checking out our Live Start Points Pitch Notes! We can’t wait to see what kinds of new stories you’ll be creating in your Career Mode saves.
