Battlefield: Cold War
Hear me out: Battlefield set during the Cold War. I know Battlefield has already explored a lot of different eras, but I think the Cold War would be an absolutely perfect setting for the franchise. I’m thinking roughly the 1960s through the late 1980s, with the focus mainly on the 70s and 80s. Not another World War II game. Not futuristic weapons. Just NATO vs. Warsaw Pact with the technology and equipment of the time. Think Leopard 1/2, M60, T-72, T-80, M113, early IFVs, F-4 Phantom, MiG-23/29, and weapons like the G3, early MP5, M16, AKM, AK-74, FAL, PKM etc. And the maps could be incredible. Hamburg Harbour, West Germany – late evening NATO forces fighting through container terminals, shipyards and warehouses while tanks fight across the open harbour areas. Rain, smoke, fires, cranes, ships and the Hamburg skyline in the background. Berlin – West Berlin Urban combat around Checkpoint Charlie, the Wall, train stations, apartment blocks and major roads. US and West German forces fighting side by side. Point Alpha / Fulda Gap This one would be perfect for a large-scale Battlefield map. Rolling hills, forests, small villages, border installations and observation towers. Basically the exact kind of terrain where you could have intense infantry combat while Leopard 2s and T-72s fight across the fields. And that’s what I think would make a Cold War Battlefield so interesting: The technology was already advanced enough for huge combined-arms battles, but still old-school enough to feel completely different from modern Battlefield. No drones everywhere. No futuristic gadgets. No over-the-top technology. Just infantry, tanks, helicopters, artillery and aircraft fighting over a divided Europe. The Cold War also gives Battlefield something else: the atmosphere. NATO bases, East German border crossings, warning signs, watchtowers, military convoys, underground bunkers, abandoned industrial areas, West German cities… There are so many possibilities. I actually started imagining what some of these maps could look like and created a few Battlefield-style concepts to visualize them. I genuinely think a Cold War Battlefield could be one of the coolest settings the franchise has ever had.REDSEC Ranked Matchmaking
The matchmaking in Battlefield Redsec's ranked mode desperately needs an overhaul, in my opinion. I'm mostly matched with teammates two or three ranks below me and opponents two or three ranks above. When I try to invite a lower-ranked player from my friends list, I get the error message „Join not possible due to rank being too low“. How is this even possible? The lower-ranked teammates can simply leave the game without losing any points, while I, at Diamond rank, lose a significant number of points, making it impossible to progress not to mention the server issues that have also cost me a considerable amount of points. The matchmaking in ranked mode, or ranked mode in general, is completely pointless in this state.Erneute Probleme bei BF1 auf PSN
Tach jesagt, Schon vor ein paar Monate gab es im PSN Probleme beim Zocken von Battlefield 1. Operationen-Server waren so verbuggt, dass man keine Fahrzeuge wählen konnte, DLC Waffen nicht verfügbar waren und das HUD auch gesponnen hat. Moin zusammen! Undzwar war plötzlich mein Spielstand bei BF4 auf der PS5 futsch. Habe schon länger dort gepielt lvl 140 etc seit ewigkeiten und am nächsten Tag alles weg.. Habe Lizenzen bereits wiederhergestellt und alten Speicherstand geladen hat alles nicht gebracht. Vielleicht kann mir hier jemand weiterhelfen. Vielen Dank im Voraus. LG Marcel
