Bot in Arena after patch “update” to Plants v Zombies 2
Hi. Ive been playing Plants v Zombies since the first desktop game. A few days ago in PvZ 2 app after an update, I have been matched w the same player every time (x7). It appears to be a bot that can beat me every time, w level 1 plants. I generally play 10+ games before being assigned a play to loose against (my interpretation of the algorithm). I can’t win against this bot at all, with my 40 level plants. Any advice? Because this is the game I played on my phone, maybe 14y. I’m going to delete it if it continues bc it’s not fun at all. I didn’t like when the game updated yrs ago to make sure you lost every 10+ times, but this is a fun killer. I’m done Also, I hate AI ‘help’ chats. Edited to remove bot/hacker name and screenshots. This is a common issue that can happen after a game update, or if you play on a new device: sometimes when you log in, you are playing as a Guest and have to start over from the start, which is not ideal. From EA Forums, we can't assist with any missing content or progression unfortunately, but we can give you some advice! Here is some (I hope) useful information and what to do if this happens to you. Firstly, and in any case, make sure to write down your player ID somewhere. Even if you never had any issue with your account previously. This is super important for our teams to locate your account if you ever get logged out or if you lose progression. Here's how to find your player ID: Select the wrench to open the Settings menu. In the Settings menu, tap: iOS: Download Preferences. or Android: Build Version. You’ll see your Player ID under the game version. Make sure to link your account via Google Play or Game Center. This will ensure that no matter what happens, your progress is still linked to another platform, which will make things easier to recover your account. Note: If you have a child or underage account, you will not be able to link it to Google Play or Game Center, so definitely make sure you write down your player ID in a safe place. See if you are able to restore lost progress on your own if something happens. If you have linked your account previously, you might have been disconnected during a game update and all you need to do is simply log back into your account that you have previously linked. If you are completely locked and need extra help, get in touch with our advisors on EA Help. Lost all my progress including in-game purchases, coins and gems. I still have all my achievements but other than that, I’ve been reset to level 1 with none of my plants I’ve bought and none of the items I earned. After the latest update, I suddenly discovered that the player names in my game had changed and were now just called 1, 2, 3, 4. Each of them had zero progress. I reinstalled the game. After reinstalling, the profiles remained. When I try to log into the game, I get an Identity Selection prompt — two different IDs appear, and neither of them belongs to me. I found my old phone, which also has PvZ2 installed and hasn't been updated. My original profile is still there. But I'm afraid to update the game because the profile might disappear too.
