EA App Showing INR Instead of PKR – Payment Failures in Pakistan
Hello everyone, I’m facing a persistent issue with the EA App in Pakistan. My account region is correctly set to Pakistan and recently verified, but the storefront still shows prices in INR instead of PKR. When I attempt purchases, my Visa card (confirmed by my bank to support INR transactions) gets charged international fees, but the payments are rejected by the merchant side. EA Support keeps referring me back to the bank, while the bank has confirmed multiple times that there are no restrictions on their side. This mismatch has already caused repeated failed purchases and unnecessary charges. I’ve also submitted documentation to my bank for further investigation, but the problem clearly seems to be coming from the EA App side. Has anyone else in Pakistan experienced the same INR vs PKR issue? It would be helpful if EA could escalate this to the billing/storefront team so we can purchase games legitimately without losing money to failed transactions. Thanks in advance for any insights or shared experiences.Paypal Payment option not working correctly.
I tried completing a purchase through the EA app for a Sims 4 expansion pack purchase with Paypal. Im unsure if this is the place to report it but, once the pop up to log in into Paypal comes onto the screen it does not let you type your log-in information. The buttons work properly but not the keyboard. It is not a problem with my laptop beacuse I have been using it to type so I assume it must be the pop up that is causing this issue. I am using a Macbook Air( Tahoe 26.3.2) I have restarted my laptop and the app as well and tried about 4 times to log in with no success. Thank you.Discount Errorr on EA App
Hello, when I try to buy a dlc for The Sims 3 even though it shows as being discounted, on the payment screen it tries to make me purchase the undiscounted price. What is the solution for this? I checked the internet and it seems that there is no solution :(Solved34Views0likes2Comments[ref.#PRICENOTFOUND] error
When I try to buy some Sims 4 kits, I get the [ref.#PRICENOTFOUND] error. I don't have any problems buying kits that aren't on the list below: - Comfy Gamer - Casanova Cave - Secret Sanctuary - Artist Studio - Storybook Nursery - Riviera Retreat - Cozy Bistro - Urban Homage - Party Essentials - Castle Estate - Modern Luxe These kits give an error and cannot be added to the cart via the EA app. When I try to buy them from the website, nothing happens when I click "Continue to Checkout".[ANSWER IN THREAD] Ongoing Purchase Restrictions on More Sims 4 EPs
issue NOT SOLVED Other platforms (Epic/Steam/PS, etc) might offer full packs normally in certain mentioned regions (in screenshot below marked red) while EA app/website still bans the packs. This situation might differ from region to region. In this thread, the related information provided from the EA forum community team is outdated and partly conflicting with the fact. (above summary posted on 10th Oct 2025) ---------------- Sep 10th 2025 edited ------ Issue Not Solved yet. nothing else mentioned previously about EA app or EA official website in main post has changed. STEAM platform provides full TS4 packs for purchase properly while the EA App abides the regional standards shared by EA colleagues and restricts those packs for purchase. Epic platform provides full TS4 packs for purchase properly while the EA App abides the regional standards shared by EA colleagues and restricts those packs for purchase. (snap attached below) All these platforms mentioned above are checked in the same region that is listed by EA colleague impacted by the "Regional Standards". For windows PC users, you could check on Steam and Epic if you feel like to. The "solution" will automatically go back on once I remove it. ----------------- Sep 7th 2025 edited ------ nothing else mentioned previously in this main post has changed, except that on STEAM platform the packs are actually ON SHELF FOR PURCHASE properly, which is totally different than what the EA colleague shared before (I quoted previously). Unfortunately I'm a Mac user so this doesn't help me at all, but for all your PC players this might be a good news for you to check out on STEAM to see if this is the same for you in your regions. Since this seems to be the only way, I might keep updating the information I could find on my own to help me, or anyone who cares about this issue, understand what's going on, at least before I give up purchasing. ----------------- Sep 5th 2025 edited ------ With the new EP "Adventure Awaits" pre-order coming, the EP "Enchanted by Nature", which WAS ON SHELF FOR PURCHASE DAYS AGO, now has been REMOVED from EA Store. What's more, there's NO WAY to create bundles ourselves to purchase now. This is BEYOND RIDICULOUS. I wonder which kind, or which exact terms, of regional standards would so kindly and mercifully allow a certain product to be SOLD IN A PHASE before getting PROHIBITED?? Is this REALLY about standards that come from the impacted regions (listed by EA colleagues below quoted earlier), or is this actually an EA Policy??? With no exact terms quoted, with no exact time schedule announced, the only gesture that Sims4 Players who are shut out from purchase can read from the current situation is that EA doesn't care about these players buying or not. Only speaking for myself, I understand the marketing policy to promote new products and withdraw the early ones in order to concentrate the revenue or whatever to meet the internal KPI, however, it is a totally different thing to keep customers in the dark, only throw out vague explanation and publicly launch new product in such a self-conflicting way. "No clear information" is an information and an attitude also. ----------------- Aug 19th 2025 edited ------ For Sims4 Players who share the similar issues: the current situation is that for now there's "no way" for players from some regions to buy some of the packs of The Sims4 in any platform, as long as you're from the influenced regions. "Heya ChakahStrange I've gone ahead and merged your threads together as they were mostly on the same topic. The reality of the situation is that we must abide by regional standards and practices when offering content for sale in that region. This means that for any number of reasons in certain geographical locales we cannot offer content that may depict certain lifestyles, content, or cultural practices. So long as you're connecting to the PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, the EA app, EPIC Games or wherever you play The Sims 4 from this region, you won't see some of our content for sale for legal reasons." -- by EA_Cade (the related region information could be found in below from the reply of EA Community Manager, as I quote in here: Hi all, The Sims 4 and the DLC is not available in some regions of the world due to regional standards, I believe this includes China, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and Egypt. If you're currently in one of these regions, this would be why you're not able to download or view The Sims in the store. -- by EA_Solaire ) ----------------- edited notice --------------- to the players who are worried about this issue, please kindly check the reply from the EA community manager about the possible regional restriction to limit our purchase for certain packs. I only left this question on "Solved" is to let people to see this reply as a current purchase status, but it doesn't mean that we're able to buy those packs yet. And until this edited notice, I haven't got any reply on what the restriction really is, whether it's permanent or not, or what will the schedule to solve this be put on track. Aug 18th, 2025 ----------------- the original post ------------ As shown in my pics attached, I can't purchase the game pack "Growing Together"(in my wishlist) or "Businesses & Hobbies". The page of the pack display says "Not Available for Purchase / This game is no longer offered in our catalog, but there are tons more games to find. Just head to the browse page and start exploring." But the thing is, if I add "Growing Together" into a bundle and purchase other 2 packs in the meantime, the paying page will proceed. I'm a Mac user and I'm sure my EA app is updated for the recentest version. So, all I want to know is that is this a technical problem? (If so, how can I fix it?) Or is it just a promotion strategy that I can't purchase the above 2 packs only by themselves? (as all I can purchase solely on the app are those packs on sale)? I've seen lot of gamers talking about this situation on EA app for these 2 days. Since the sale is ending, I wanna know the answer, for obvious reasons. Thanks. CM edit: Edited title for clarity. FFS EA, its been hours and you've been so hush about the problems PC players are having with your EA app/Account. Not a single word on whats up with the Ultimate game pass accounts and EA play. Do we not pay $20 a month? Do we not deserve a reasonable answer in a reasonable time (its been HOURS)? How hard is it to post, "oh we have an issue... Blah blah". EA, what kind of compensation can us PC players look expect? I mean you expect us to sit here with no answers for hours on end, and you still expect to get that $20 a month (or we cant play!). So what do we get from your screw up?... [CM - updated thread title for clarity and visibility]Solved358Views9likes14CommentsUnable to verify credit card
I am getting the "unable to verify credit card" issue when making a purchase. There is nothing wrong from my end, My card is up to date and no region block, all information is correct and tripple checked. Same issue using Klarna payment. The AI help support is usless as it keeps sending me to the wrong information, and when i say this it askes me the same questions over again.16Views0likes0CommentsEA app shows me prices from a different country
Made my first purchase through the EA app and I had a panic attack seeing it charged me 3 times more than what was advertised in the app. Turns out the app was showing me prices from a different close by country that uses the same currency name. After calming down I decided to keep what I bought without asking a refund but still... I hope this will be fixed as it's something that's really important. I talked about this with an agent through EA help, and they said the prices I see depends on my region settings. So I checked where my region is set to and it already says my region correctly. Yet it shows me prices from that other country. Now that I know about this I will be careful making any future purchases but for anyone else's sake I'm making a request to please use ISO 4217 Currency Codes so we know the app is talking about a different currency. Thank you for any attention you give to this matter.
