With the upcoming new pvz replanted I feel that some excitement can be brought back to the franchise to build anticipation for the release. I feel that a reasonable approach to this could be to bring back some of the old mystery portals like boss hunt, soil survivors and cats vs dinos etc. Currently the mystery portal is worked with a program I believe and feel that it can’t be to hard to recode the program to include some of the other game modes. As well as this some achievements are locked behind mystery portals events making it impossible for ‘new players’ and lots of old players to complete . I have played the game since 2018 and have not been able to complete it as boss hunt and other modes haven’t been in the rotation since early 2020 when support stopped. I feel like this is a small change that can bring back older players and keep newer players playing the pvz franchise in anticipation for replanted .Garden warfare 3
EA needs to get through there thick skull that they’re sitting on a gold mine. A garden warfare 3 would basically be guaranteed profit no matter what situation. Us a as community have proved multiple times that there is still a massive audience for the shooter games. I think the main reason that they aren’t going to make any more of them is because of battle for neighbourvile. Its commercial failure led to EA being scared to make another game in the shooter series. EA has to realise that the reason this game failed is because they got rid of the main selling point of shooter games, the variants. The fact that the EA executives approved this game is wild to me. However, I find it disappointing that Garden Warfare 1, Graden Warfare 2 and Battle for Neighborville are still not playable on Linux, even though Linux gaming has grown a lot in recent years thanks to Steam Deck and Proton. Many multiplayer games now work perfectly on Linux with minimal changes, but PvZ GW and BFN are blocked due to anti-cheat or launcher limitations. This prevents a growing number of players from joining the community. If the goal is to bring more players back, supporting Linux (or at least Proton compatibility) would be a great step forward and would help increase the active player base at no extra cost for new platforms.
