Pet hearts?
I'm making a pet shelter, I'm really loving the different curve balls I keep getting. I've adopted a cat called Shiloh and another called Mayor Whiskers. I noticed when they were together they were interacting but only after a little while of living together. Sometimes they clean eachother and I see little lovehearts. I adopted a stray dog called Maddie- she was sick and of course, as a true shelter should, I adopted her and took her to the vet- my question is, she randomly barks and lovehearts pop up over her but she's by herself when she does it, any ideas what the hearts are? I thought it might be two pets falling in love but since she's the only dog i'm not sure.
My Elder sim won't die....
I don't know if it's a glitch...or if I am just being impatient? He has been at the end of his little Sim life for quite awhile now. I don't know how long, because it won't tell me anymore..lol I received the "His life is coming to an end..get affairs in order" pop up many, many Sim days ago. Probably weeks. Anyone else? I kinda need him to die (cruel, I know) so I can carry on with my Legacy story line......
Baby/Toddler Vampires
So if a human and vampire have a baby will they baby be half vampire? A chance to be full vampire or full human 50/50? Or just human? I wanted a vampire baby, and I couldn't find any vampires other than caleb right at first, and I didn't want to mess up his marriage. So I took my vampire girl to a club and tried for baby in the closet with the most available guy she could find. aka Don. The baby was human. Just wondering if this has been discussed or answered anywhere. Thanks!
The Premades - 10 Years Later
Some time ago, I had this idea... What would happen if we looked in on the lives of the premades roughly 10 years after we originally met them? What job would they have, if they have one? Would they still live in the same place? Who did they marry - or would they still be married to the same Sim? Did they have any (more) kids? Basically, all the important questions in life ;) Anyway, I started this project (which I called "Premades 2025"), by making use of full edit mode in CAS to take a look at the Sims and their offspring. And I used the existing backstories and my imagination to write them a follow-up backstory. Most Sims in this project will be in the life stage after the one they were in originally. Except some of the adults. I think the adult life stage is disproportionately short, so I just made some of the adults look older and some of them are actually elders (often depending on what would be "realistic" considering the age of their kids). Just mentioning it to avoid any confusion on the subject. They won't neccesarily be completely at the start of that life stage, because, realistically, a teen who was originally about 16, would be 26 about 10 years later and not 18 or 21 (whenever you reckon the young adult stage starts). With that in mind I worked on this project, so a Sim who was originally a teen, like Cassandra Goth, may already be married and potentially be parent to a toddler, yet they may also be single. The way I've set this up is that I'll post one of the new families/households each day on my Simblr. But as I wouldn't want you guys on the forums to miss out on this, especially because the premades are quite popular/known around here, I've decided to make this thread. I'll try to update daily, but might not always be able to. If you don't want to wait, you can read this series on my Simblr, it posts at 20.00h (CET summertime) every day. Hello! :) I was just wondering if someone could answer my question? Basically, I started off with a male and female Sim in a household, who eventually got married! Anyhow, out of interest, I started increasing friendship and then the romantic relationship with a DIFFERENT male Sim (to get to know how the game works, I was just testing a lot of different features, really). Anyhow, I managed to get their relationship bar full and they ended up dating each other! So my Sim was married to one Sim whilst having a relationship with the other? And neither Sim accused my Sim of cheating or anything... I remember in TS3 how angry the romantic interest would get if you so much as did the Kiss action with another Sim! I was wondering if it's a glitch or something? Thanks for your time :)
How does a sim die from hysteria?
I have made my sim do a lot of playful interactions. She had 5 or 6 playful things affecting her mood. The mood will not go above very playful. I thought she would get the hysteria mood. I really wanted to see how the death from laughter played out. Have you ever had a sim die from hysteria? If so what combo of things caused your sim to die from laughter?Left at the altar?
I'm currently playing in my "Pleasantvire stories" neighborhood and it's time for Cassandra and Don to get married. As you will know, in The Sims 2, there was a chance that a Sim getting married could get "left at the altar". This is usually what happened to Cassandra when the player tried to marry her to Don Lothario. Mid-wedding, Don would hesitate and then run away, leaving Cassandra behind. I understand this could happen if one of the Sims had the romance aspiration or if the bride and groom didn't have a strong enough relationship. I'd like to replay this moment, but I don't think it's technically possible to "officially" do this in Ts4. Do you know if a sim can get cold feet mid-wedding (i.e. During the "get married" action at the altar)? Maybe the "get married" interaction is rejected if they don't have a high enough relationship? Otherwise, I guess I'll have to break the couple up during the wedding party but before they get married so that the party fails...
