I wish I could trade in packs I no longer want...
I wish I could trade in packs and kits that I ended up not really using for a fraction of what I spent. Like 50% or even 25% the price/value for EA store credit or even Moola if the Moola marketplace gets more transaction transparency/history. Like why should we "disable" packs we paid for for nothing, rather uninstall them for good and get a little bit back... If this was added I would be eternally grateful to cleanup my sim saves and exchange it for some of the new kits. Make sure to have many popups to confirm that you really want to permanently exchange an old pack for store credit or Moola before it occurs though...15Views0likes0Comments1800s Theme
Hello all, I build a lot of Victorian houses and got to thinking that an 1800s theme would be awesome! The style of clothing e.g.: men, tails, top hats, canes, and dockworker attire; women, “Empire silhouette” style dresses, and various hairstyles, makeup, accessories like parasols and coin purse/reticule. Building items would include ornate windows, roof styles, trims and toppers, wall decorations, iron/brick fencing, and yard ornaments. All build items can be turned into Gothic or have an abandoned look by adding dark colors, debris and cobwebs. These are just some of my ideas. What are your thoughts? Thanks, MrsToad🐸63Views4likes4CommentsThe Grove Pack Legacy Challenge (Updated 6-09-2026)
Hi and welcome to my return to sim story writing! I am doing my rendition of rosannatxt's "Pack Legacy Challenge." Below are links to Rosannatxt's Challenge and my story respectively. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Simming! I'm back after a hiatus! Generation two will be done rotation-style and in each of the three Grove sibling's perspectives. Enjoy! Pack Legacy Rules and Guidelines James Turner Disable Packs Tool ------------------------------------ To start: The Grove Legacy: Humble Beginnings Ch. 1 Current Chapter: Liam Goth 2.5 Note: Rotation is Fisher, Hazel, Harper and Liam Goth *Exception-the story gets a bit out of order rotationally starting with Harper and Hazel at chapter 2.3. However, the story is syntactically correct.1.6KViews1like1Comment💡 Ideas > ♂️ Man lifestyle for The Sims

RoM, V, W , IP, L&D, EbN and GtW all have occults with limited occult specific CAS and Build/Buy. I'd love a stuff pack to flesh out and fill in the blanks for occults. Some of the occult CAS and Build/Buy are merely themed such as Victorian for Vampires and nature inspired for EbN for example. However, the occults themselves could have a larger range of occult specific themes. Edit: Would also highly benefit from Completely Disable Phone Feature & Alternate Computer Option | EA Forums - 12647073. Add missing occult ability trees for Mermaids and Aliens. PlantSims be a permanent occult with an ability tree. More traits that would help occult synergy (Mystical, Disruptive and Macabre are the closest occult friendly traits, if you want to discount the basic Good/Evil traits) Lot traits that encourage each or every type of occult to visit and a trait disallow all occults! Feathered and bat wings for Fairies or even Vampires (but be great if it could be any occult). Missing single bed, fridge, stove, etc. for EbN nature theme. RoM's The Iron Counter needs a cabinet counterpart (drives me nuts I don't have matching cabinets for my favourite counter). Small appliances for various occults/themes. Non-plant/flower nature themed CAS and Build/Buy. Air, fire and water/ice fairy themed attire and Build/Buy would be nice to have different elements Fairies. But these could also transcend to other occults such as Mermaids and Spellcasters. Something to do with Spellcaster all occult extra talent points! Edit, Mar 3rd, 2026: Practical Spellcaster's with Scruberoo use in when Hygiene is low (and/or use instead of "clean up/throw away"), Delicioso when Hunger is low, Floralorial for bugs/weeding, etc. autonomously. Mischief Spellcaster use Mischievous spells ons on disliked/despised Sims autonomously. I am not sure how easily Untamed spellcasters can use their spells autonomously. But at least Chillio for Fires! and Zipzap on disliked/despised Sims autonomously. More occult recipes and foods. I mean there is Soul Soup but it is from Level 5 Thanatology and Level 5 Cooking. As well as Curious Pizza and Alien Fruit Tarts for alien/U.F.O fruit recipes. But really more fantasy cuisine would be helpful for occult themed players. The ability to safely have Hybrid Occults without breaking the game, having multiple ability trees (at least 2). It be really nice if RoM had Glimmerbrook expanded to a 3 neighbourhood world. Maybe even for Vampires and Werewolves too. Alchemy, Herbalism and Apothecary recipes should be abled to be used in both the Cauldron and Apothecary Table. And ALL ingredients should be abled to be stored-linked to storage properly (having insects, frogs, metals, crystals (at least link the CCSP Gemology Table to pull from as recipes pull from the fridge), etc. not linked/stored together is very annoying to pull out of other storages). Familiars could be expanded, that they can change their moodlet buff, have interactions, etc. Add small pets fantasy creatures such as baby dragons. The ability to make any occult Immortal and stop aging. As a special trait. The ability to add the Grim Reaper or Father Winter to family tree (as parent) without breaking the game. More fantasy/alien plants. I love these and really cannot get enough of them. Tabletop Mini Cowplant, and Other Plant Ideas | EA Forums - 12786745 Edit, Apr 21st, 2026: Second form for Spellcasters. As they are suspected to be "disguised", and more Spellcaster type CAS/BB items. Vampire sire family trees (and the ability to edit them). Fairy option/quest/trait to be able to eat normal food to help emotional force. Or at least certain foods like honey, fruit, milk, or even flowers! etc. Turn off werewolf animal form (have have a secondary humanoid form instead to manipulate), I am sorry but the animal form weirds me out to no end, and can't play this occult because of it (I am sure there are mods but I'd prefer a official version so to not worry about game break mods when out of date mods are no longer kept up). If you are not going to add/update your packs where there is missing/wanted features CAS/Build/Buy. Just put it in a pack to expand the occult themes :) Edit, May 10, 2026: Steampunk spellcasters, dragon pets and clockwork familiars, orrery display/zodiacs, and herbalism/apothecary update/expansion. AI render image dump inspiration (my first time trying) lol Edit, May 28, 2026: Occult dueling alternative available option for R&L duels (so either occult or sword dueling). Differing occults dueling spellcaster vs. vampire for example. It would be nice too if certain occults get an advantage over another. Occult Lifestyles SE really could have helped occults act more like occults by earning occult lifestyles. Table Top/Counter Top Cauldron(s) for Alchemy/Apothecary/Herbalism, and Cooking Cauldron (at stove/fireplace/for grill) for Herbalism/Cooking/Grilling. Hoods, Cloaks and Capes for CAS! A non-hidden Realm of Magic World. The sky and lighting effects of the Magic Realm would be great to have as a normal world. It could be just like the Magic Realm with floating islands. We really need more all out fantasy worlds. Edit, May 29, 2026: Rune Marking and Glowing Rune Marking Decor for Floors and Walls. More/better Purple/Violet Swatches for BB. Ornate gold/wood/etc. panels (x1, x2, x3 sizes) as wall decor, so it can be overlayed on wallpapers/paneling/etc. Gold/silver/etc. and Crystal indoor and outdoor BB accent Decor (Art Deco, Victorian and Steampunk themes). Curved Bookshelves and Shelving/Storage Units (and more) for each size (and heights) of curved walls types. More Terrariums (various sizes and styles (and awesome if frogs/insects/butterflies could be displayed in it)), crystals, oddity jars, potion/alchemy clutter, etc. Pinned and Dried Butterfly Display decor, DaVinci styled diagram drawing decor, etc. Table Tarot (activity and/or decor (depending if you have L&D or not)) 3 card spread and Celtic cross spread. Can be placed on tables, desks and counters.799Views20likes28CommentsConsole Control Input failure / UI Issues ( Xbox Series X )
Controls and Input Problems - Controller buttons randomly stop responding, especially the top triggers when switching between Sims in household or navigating menus. - Controller buttons randomly stop responding, especially the top triggers when switching between Sims or navigating menus. - Full input lockouts that appear to occur during certain pop‑up events. For example, when a Sim in the Naturopath career is heading to work, the pop‑up menu offering choices such as “Go to Work,” “Work From Home,” “See Clients at Home Lot,” or “PTO” appears. If the player is holding an item (like a plate or another object) at the moment the pop‑up triggers, the game can bug out and display the held item as the cursor. This locks all controller input completely, forcing a full restart or requiring the player to switch to mouse and keyboard to regain control. Gallery Malfunctions - Gallery becomes unresponsive at random, a long‑standing issue that often requires a full restart or switching input devices to regain control. UI and Action Queue Glitches - Actions getting stuck in the queue and refusing to clear even when cancelled. - New actions stacking on top of frozen ones, creating visual clutter and making the queue frustrating to look at.Technical issues left right and center.
It honestly feels like the more money you spend on The Sims 4 on console, the worse the game performs. I own every pack, and at this point the game is barely playable. University is completely broken on console — every time I try to move my Sim back home after finishing a term, the game gets stuck in an endless loop. You can’t split the household, you can’t progress, it just repeats over and over until you’re forced to restart the entire save. It’s incredibly frustrating to lose progress because of something that shouldn’t even be happening. Parenting is glitchy too — babies randomly glitch during animations, stretching, freezing, or snapping around. And Sims in general will just… stop. They’ll stand there doing nothing for ages, ignoring queued actions. Sometimes canceling and re‑adding the action helps, but not always. On top of that, the UI constantly bugs out, menus flicker or freeze, and the game crashes so often that I’ve had to reset everything multiple times. For a game I’ve invested so much money into, it’s honestly disappointing to feel like I can’t even play it properly. At this point, Maxis, the best long‑term solution might be to move the game onto a modern engine. The current one clearly can’t handle the weight of all the packs, especially on console. I know it would take time, but right now it’s becoming nearly impossible to enjoy the game at all.103Views3likes6CommentsFantasy/Sci-Fi/etc. Themed Packs
With EbN most of the supernatural Life States are in Sims 4. I would of course like more but a general satisfaction that if you have RoM/V/W/EbN you finally almost have the equivalent to Sims 3 Supernatural. Sims 3 Supernatural (my first Sims 3 pack) is what got me hooked on buying all Sims 3 packs and almost the entire Sims 3 store—so that is why I mention it. But because I am a fantasy/sci-fi based player, non-fantasy/sci-fi packs and packs that do not compliment fantasy/sci-fi type themes don't interest me much—so that means there are more packs I rather skip/not buy than buy (but I am also aware many players feel the opposite too). At least that is what I found in Sims 4, it is easier to skip packs in Sims 4 than Sims 3. Also funny enough, I had no interest in the Journey to Batuu (I mean I probably would like the CAS and Build by the rest of the pack I have zero interest), just the Star Wars universe doesn't really have a place in my Sim worlds (but I might buy it (on sale), if they add a Dystopian EP/GP). With this, new packs are really going to have to impress me to buy, otherwise I need hard convincing just to buy packs when they are on sale. So here are some idea for packs that might interest fantasy/sci-fi/themed game style players and may or may not interest non-fantasy/non-sci-fi/non-themed game style players. Steampunk, bring back inventing that is more tinkerer/eccentric based that can work for past, modern and (dystopian) future themed players. I loved using both Ambitions/WA and the steampunk store packs (including Midnight Hollow) to create a sort of industrial steampunk themed game. This could probably be a GP but you'd wow me if you did a EP. Medieval, also a fan of Dragon Valley and baby dragons. I think many players would love to be technology free (no cell phones/computers/TVs/etc.) especially for a non-ECO off the grid challenge. I'd suggest an EP, make it so you can play past/modern tech (or lack of tech). Underground and/or Underwater Biodome, my fav Sims 2 lot was a the Biodome, I still want to see that again revised. But for a fallout or future playstyle this would be so cool. Or even ocean exploration themed. Space Station/Spaceship, or some Future World. I loved Into the Future and Oasis landing! I miss nanites and the regular or dystopian versions of the future world. Whimsical, I loved the Looking Glass/Wonderland store items, I sort of used Midnight Hollow and utopian future to play an Alice in Wonderland theme game. I'd love a tea party table (I loved the store tea set table). This could be a GP or very least a SP (similar to how Paranormal works) but please not a Kit (it wouldn't be enough to work with). The idea of oversized items, from being shrunk (misses oversized flowers). How to make this work for non-fantasy themed players, theme park lots/capability for themed lots, to keep fantasy Sims in certain worlds/lots similar to werewolves staying in their world. Adventure Worlds, aka Al Simhara, Shang Simla and Champs Les Sims, JA is nice but I really loved these worlds too. This is themed but not fantasy/sci-fi so more people should be able to enjoy.663Views8likes15CommentsWhy is this sell out a thing when there isn't a collab with Lego yet?
I just realized for all friends, collabs, and the other stuff. Sims and Lego have not worked together to mix their **bleep** together?! It excite me thinking possibly having MySims Trophies as Lego Pops like Travis and Buddy. Whatever those are called. Also we get Lego accessories for every stage. Those are so similar, but not made out with each other? For fun collabs possibly those most greedy in their similar ways how is that not have worked out yet? I also thinking how awkward I saw the vac zoomies move up the raised levels clipping through the wall is also how it hyped the thought into me. Is to have those programable Lego kits come with a new zoomie vac that animate itself to clime up those raise plate forms that could expand the range by also climbing onto other floors to vac up dirt and updated to clean up the dust. Possibly be nice with different versions of how those code monkey be implemented maybe some be DIY kit builds. I think that would even erase the problem that I don't even hear about now. Did that got declined by now? I guess either way... if this idea was to happen... You wouldn't dare sell it again... ya?28Views1like0Comments
