Game will not start beyond the EA "Preparing Game" popup
Pretty much what it says in the title, trying to figure out why my game just wont open at all. I have tried to open the game through both steam and EA (even tried through epic just to see). My PC meets the requirements, I have tried turning admin perms for the game on and off, ive reinstalled the game itself and EA multiple times, and tried to clean boot my pc. I really feel like ive tried everything but cannot find a fix, any help would be appreciated.

Hello DICE and Electronic Arts, First of all, thank you for creating Star Wars Battlefront II (2017). It is still an amazing game that many players around the world love and continue to play on both PS4 and PC. Many fans, including myself, would be incredibly happy if you would consider releasing a new update for the game in the future. We would love to see more planets, maps, game modes, and additional heroes and villains without having to rely on mods on PC. Characters such as Ahsoka Tano and Asajj Ventress would be amazing additions. It would also be exciting to see new content inspired by The Clone Wars, Rebels, The Mandalorian, and other parts of the Star Wars universe. Many players on both PS4 and PC are still actively playing Star Wars Battlefront II and appreciate all the hard work that went into the game. Therefore, I hope that one day you might consider bringing new content to the game and continuing its legacy. I believe that Star wars battlefront 2 and all older star wars games should be re remastered with x64 architecture and graphics to improve the modding experience dropping the GB limit that causes crashes on the older games. Main games to highlight along with if capable cross play support would just knock it out of the ball park. Some of this I know has been done but the rest has not. Star wars empire at war is a example of how successful it could become or more. Star wars Kotor 1 and 2 or knights of the old republic. Star wars battlefront 1 and 2 originals. I dont know about everyone else but to me EA has lost their skill at creating a "Good" star wars game. I dont know how to make a video game myself, I would love to learn but compared to the games I played growing up like classic 2005 Battlefront 2, they really have lost their touch. It's like they dont care about how good star wars games come out to be anymore. When battlefront 2 2017 was still super popular and had regular updates there was alot of people playing the game. The game brought different ages and kinds of players back into gaming, like it held a huge aspect of the original version for the OGs like me, and new graphics and systems with new gamemodes for the younger gens. They gave us some characters we were wanting too such as anakin Skywalker, and general grievous, and we even got to battle on GEONOSIS where the clone wars all began! Then one day, all of a sudden, they updates completely get stopped, and the roadmaps are dusty and torn up in the trash. Finally we get an answer that they were moving into a new game, what was it squadrons? Honestly in my opinion, who wants to fly in space everyday after work or school and play a few game modes week to week?? That's lame and boring as I'll get out. Next we got outlaws, which isn't that bad but it's more running around and searching for things than actually playing and having something keeping my attention occupied. Now we're waiting for two new games. Ones a "Pod racing" game and the other a tactical team shooter in 4TH PERSON!! I dont know how they got the idea that these games would do better and get them more income than keeping more updates coming in for battlefront 2 or making a battlefront 3 based off of Just THE CLONE WARS (Which so many people have told yall this would work) or based off of all three eras but give more life like battles like lightsabers clashing and having lights flash and sparks fly when they attack at the same time the same direction. You could do it like For Honors fight style and execution. Some games copied mortal combat fight style kinda, like killer instinct. Yall have potential, yall have proven that before. All I'm saying is please take the time to think more about the players opinions and ideas. A battlefront 3 may cost alot of money to do, but it could be Really worth the risk if you pull it off right. May the Force be With You......Always!
Hackers in Battlefront 2015/2017: what are EA responses ?
Dear EA, hi everyone, I have been playing battlefront 2015 and 2017 since release on console and later on PC. I have loved those games so much and crafted great memories playing them. Unfortunately, they have shown to be close to unplayable. (at least recently) The following applies more to BF2015 since that's the game I've played the most recently. Cheaters and hackers are all over the place: they see you everywhere, they kill you through wall, they take significantly less damage and deal absurd amount of damage. It is very important to understand, that this not just one hacker in the lobby. Those are several people in the same lobby making the game unplayable, and if you dare say something in the chat, they make the game crash and you instantly return to the main menu. My games usually last 3 minutes before I am kicked out to the main menu, and those are 3 minutes during which I was just killed through wall, at absurd ranges, with absurd amount of damage in no time. This has not always been the case. For instance, I do not remember encountering cheaters at launch. We, the players, use the report feature offered by AI to signal those hackers. However, nothing has changed in years. Cheaters come back with new accounts. Sometimes, they are still playing with the same one, despite reports. My question is, EA, what are you really doing against this ? What are the difficulties you encounter doing so ? How do you see the future of it ? Is the situation overwhelming ? If yes, how it it possible since you have expert hands on the code and can patch the game for each hack reported ? This is a real problem, because you are still selling a game that is almost exclusively an online players versus players game. It holds breaches exploited by hackers, which make the game unplayable. If you allow me the comparison, grocery stores are not selling spoiled food, so why would you ? I, as a player who bought your games, really needs to understand the situation. How did we come to this ? Why can't you get rid of cheaters ? What are doing to solve this issue, also what are you not doing ? I love BF2015. I really wish I could play it. But for now I just need explanations on the products I bought. I know this might not be read. But I am writing on the forum because I know that EA is less and less reachable; from experience, you cannot get those sorts of answer with the technical support system. New PC, SWBF2 Mouse Malfunction
Just in case any one else has had this, I just got a new PC and wanted to see Battlefront2 on it, and the mouse has had issues from the moment I first loaded the game. First time loading, no mouse cursor visible. Second time and thereafter it appeared. But once in game I could only turn left or right a maximum of 90 degrees if that. I'd have to upload a video to show how wack it was. The game's just bugging out with my Deathadder Elite and Synapse 4 software from Razer. I've never had this problem before.
