[BF2042][Steam] Sound issues, DirectX update (?)
Hello, since a few days in BF2042 there appear random sound errors and issues in official matches. Using the Sennheiser IE600 in-ear headphones, by random events left and right becomes reversed, mixed up, either left or right muted and mostly scratching and lagging noises. it is highly confusing in-game and heavily impacts gameplay in negative. i have already cleared all available cache in Windows 11 Pro as well as any cache in various many BF2042 locations and directories as well as DirectX caches, especially also in various (and hidden) BF2042 directories. and have deleted all game settings and locally stored cloud files .. everything i believe a DirectX update to BF2042 causes these heavy and random sound issues in-game in BF2042, no where else happening. if i had to guess due to my latest experiences, ducking or sliding randomly causes this. i also hear false enemy footsteps, they appear at locations where enemies are not present, but maybe had been just a few seconds ago while being out of line of sight .. about the particular DX update, BF2042 has officially received the "D3D12Core.dll" update to version 1.4.10.0, to be found inside "..\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2042\x64". so i think this particular DX update causes these sound error as mentioned already. please fix this. Game settings reset and introduction cinematic plays everytime I launch the game
Hi Everybody, After the latest update, Battlefield 2042 resets completely every time I close and reopen it. I am facing two main issues: Every launch forces me to watch the introduction and play the prologue match against AI. None of my main settings save. When joining customized Portal servers, I have to re-configure everything (like mouse binding / graphic settings and so on) from scratch every single time. It seems the game is unable to save or write any configuration files to my Documents folder
LED keyboard not turn ON when and after playing BF 2042, why ?
1. Why won't the Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock LEDs on my Fantech Atom 107 mechanical keyboard light up (even though the Caps Lock key is still fully functional)? 2. This only happens when playing Battlefield 2042, whereas previously, the Caps Lock LED was still on normally when playing Counter-Strike 2 and War Thunder. I played all three games through the Steam app. 3. I'm still using Windows 10 22h2 full update and I don't use any additional programs from Fantech! 4. I'm using a Fantech MK893S Atom 107S Mizu Edition mechanical keyboard!

A new error!! So exciting. social tab won’t show pc friends names but will show modes playing. ea app won’t show anyone’s names period. Game chats don’t send but no error either. Just nothing received by chat grouping. Got $20 this lasts 7 days. Enough time for Infantry Conquest to further kill the game.
EA server timeouts
If this is here forgive me I’m new to forums. I’ve been lucky to have few issues in 2042. However the last two days I will be up to the last sector of a match then I get booted out. It says all players disconnected. And I cannot log back into the EA server. I’ve tried a lot of fixes, sister has the same problem then it will just randomly work some hours later. I’d put it down to a server outage but their site says no issues. Can anyone shed any light on this. Ty in advance. I play on Xbox x
No Conquest or Breakthrough, still.....!
I know this is an ongoing problem and I've tried all the fixes but still nothing, I'm a PC player and my rig is well above spec...... Is EA actually going to do something abut this BS or are they going the same as Activision and not giving a crap about who pays their wages. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, I don't want to lose an saves but if you uninstall the game and reinstall it does that get rid of the problem?
