Dragonage Veilgard crashes Xbox series X
Ive been playing through the dragonage veilgard game now for about 2 weeks. My Xbox constantly crashes and powers completely off. It doesn't do this on any other game I play. After scouring the web it seems this is a known issue but I couldn't find anything where EA or Bioware have acknowledged it. Has anyone heard or seen any updates on a fix? This game is fun but getting to be unplayable with the constant crashing.Hard crashing on console [Xbox Series X]
Hard crashes are still occurring post-patch on Xbox Series X and PS5. There are multiple posts across here, Reddit, the official Bioware discord, etc all with the same issue. Randomly the game will crash, with not easily identifiable causes. The game will sometimes just crash the game, other times it will completely crash the console itself, powering it off. It will happen in combat, when paused, out of combat; there doesn't seem to be a specific trend. Sometimes it will be an hour between crashes, but more often than not it's in <10min increments. No settings changes or fixes address the issue. It happens in both performance and fidelity modes. Could we get an acknowledgement that Bioware is investigating this issue? There has been no direct acknowledgement that Bioware is aware of this issue and many people were hoping this patch would resolve it.No longer getting field banter with multiple party 'pairs' (XBOX)
So in my second Veilguard run on my XBSX, I've been trying to get more field banter than I did in the last one since it's all delightful, so periodically I'll grab a pair I don't use together as often and run through some reliable 'banter trigger' spots/ wait a while/ do another one/ etc etc. So a fair bit ago in my current run, I noticed that suddenly I couldn't get banter between Davrin and Harding to trigger anymore. I was pretty puzzled, since I was pretty sure they couldn't be 'out' of options at that point. I tried a few things- reloading, trying different banter spots, getting banter with different party members and trying them again, etc- but eventually gave up and kept going, hoping that eventually it would sort itself out (but as of where I am now- far enough in the game that I have a couple party members with Hero of the Veilguard status and more to come soon- I still can't get any banter from them). What's made this matter more urgent is now I've got another pair that suddenly isn't triggering banter either- Taash and Emmrich. It's bad enough I'm missing out on one 'pair' of banter, but two pairs? And Emmrich and Taash have great banter. (And again, they're not out of options! Hell, back with Davrin/Harding, even if I WAS out at that point, there's been enough major missions/companion stuff for both of them that new banter should have been added at some point since the issue started, but nope, still radio silence when I take them out) It's really killing my motivation to play any further. What if I lose still more pairs? Please tell me there's a way to sort this out.Soft locked - "Partners in a Dangerous Crime"
Completed much of this quest and reached a locked door after hideout in the market with the braziers. The cafe door is locked, preventing me from progressing further in this quest. Platform: Xbox Series S Game Version: 1.0.21.41573 I've tried to reload save, fast to another location, mix of both, all to no prevail. Below shows the issue. I'm pretty sure the above door is irrelevant, but here's a screenshot of that one too. Notice in the second one, the investigation radius triggered (see minimap). However, I can't get into the actual area.Bug in the Lighthouse Puzzle - Missing Pedestal and Whisper Bug
I experiencing a bug in Dragon Age: The Veilguard related to the Lighthouse puzzle. After completing the Music Room puzzle and opening the portal, the pedestal on the balcony does not appear. Despite the portal being open, there is still a whisper (wisp) on the external balcony that I cannot interact with. I have already progressed to Chapter 10, but the third puzzle is still inactive. I have checked and completed the previous puzzles and positioned the wisps I found, but the game seems stuck. I do not have any earlier save files to reload, so I cannot restore progress. I have tried fast traveling away and back and interacting multiple times in the area, but the pedestal still does not spawn. This issue prevents me from advancing further in the Lighthouse questline. The game crashed, and after a restart everything was the same except all text is in French. Even when I go into the settings and reselect English it stays French even though the settings say English. Returning to default setting doesn't restore it either.SolvedA wardens best friend, no floor loads
Started to play on xbox tonight and got to the mission a wardens beat friend. When the initial cut scene loads there is clearly no floor visible and characters are floating next to the tent as Davris arrives. As soon as cut scene and talking is finished you fall straight away. I was able to try and play by jumping to where there was ground but made it to the first dark spawn fight and cannot move forward as whole main area has no floor.Echoes of the Past Companiom Quest Bug!!!!!
Started the companion quest for Bellara; after starting the quest and going through the discussion you have to follow her into a room she opens. She asks you to get 2 keys while she keeps artifact stabilized. The problem and bug is that 1 of the keys is already in place but is not counted as 1. You can't take off to put back on cause once they are placed they get locked. Since you have to find a key that can't be found you end up stuck in a non completeable mission. Plz fix thos issue or let me know how to get around it being I would really like to finish her storyline & get remaining achievements please and thanks a ton!!!Request: Don't make regular scar, tattoo and gender dialogues mutually exclusive
(Ed. note: However you feel about the gender stuff or about tattoos, they're both present features in the game, and there's an issue that's bugging me). Say you have an elf that's gone through some gender stuff. They also have vallaslin (or some other tattoo) that means a lot to them. Or they got some scars that are foundational to the choices they made (my Warden Rook got some face scars from a Darkspawn fight!). With the way the shaving mirror dialogue is set up, you can only address one of them. If Rook talks about their tattoo, they're shut out of their scars and their identity conflict stuff. If they went through some gender exploration, then they can't talk about their vallaslin. It's such a strange exclusion to lock you into only selecting one of these things to reflect on, when all have the potential to be meaningful, which is supposed to be the point of the shaving mirror scene. Would love to see the "Choosing one will conclude the conversation" portion disabled, allowing you to go through multiple options. Just a quality of life request, for those folks interested in more than one of the featuresAppearance changed
When I started the game back up I was suddenly headless and then when I tried to fix it, like fast traveling my saved character became someone else, like I went from an elf to a quanari. It was in dock town and I saved at the spillway last night, I was doing the demon quest that's over there. I was lucky enough to just have to go back to a different auto save. I play on Xbox.
