Games can be a place of passion and competition, which can cause heightened emotions and the desire to win no matter what. We understand that, but please be aware that there are some things that we can’t let slide, as they are against the game rules and will ruin the gaming experience for everyone.
Non-compliance can lead to bans for your EA account and in the game.
Check out the highlighted rules below! To get a full overview of our rules, please read our Positive Play Charter and look at our Apex Legends Rules.

No-Go Behavior
Always be respectful towards your fellow players! Rule of thumb – don’t say or do anything that you wouldn’t want directed at yourself.
Here are a few important specific points you should remember:
- Don’t promote suicide. Glorifying or encouraging suicide or self-harm, or urging others to hurt themselves is not allowed. Self Harm and Suicide are serious topics. We're always here to help you with any issues related to your EA services, but your safety is our primary concern. We aren't qualified to provide support with this, but you can visit https://findahelpline.com to search for help resources in your area or check your local telephone directory for a support service to call.
- Don’t discriminate. Hate speech of any kind be it against race, gender, sexuality, or any other discerning factor, is immediate grounds for a sanction.
- Don’t harass others. Treat everyone in the game with respect. Harassing others, degrading, goading, provoking, or simply being rude to them will have consequences. This includes hounding, personal attacks, hostile raids, and false reports.
- Don’t post offensive content. This includes offensive language and concerns all content that is inappropriate for the specific game maturity level, community or individual.
Cheating
There are many ways to cheat, which are easily discovered by the AntiCheat and Reporting functions of the game. For your sake and that of others, play the game fairly.
Important rules are:
- Don’t abuse glitches or bugs. Performing in-game exploits and abusing glitches or bugs.
- Don’t stat pad. This means no abusing of game features in a way they aren’t supposed to be used in order to artificially stack scores.
- Don’t use cheating software. This includes aimbots, wallhacks, item ESP, and so on.
- Don’t use software to disconnect other players. Cheat tools that throw other players from the EA servers will get you thrown out of the game permanently.
- Don’t team up with cheaters. If you know that a player is using cheats, don’t team up to reap benefits. Guilt by association!
How to dispute?
You’ve received an e-mail, that you’ve been banned and want to dispute?
Please check here to find out how to appeal/move forward in the case of a ban or action.
We can’t handle bans or appeals here in the forum and don’t have access to any details about bans, appeals, or support messaging. Please don't ask us to remove or review bans as it's not something we can take any action on.
Important! If you realise that you’ve been banned but have not received an E-Mail, please make sure that you have not been hacked! If you have been hacked, please contact Support under the topic “I need help with my hacked account”. Do this first and get your account secured before disputing any ban.
Reporting another Player
If you see another player break the rules, please report them using the appropriate report functions – we cannot forward reports in the EA Forums and reporting players publicly here is against our forum rules. You can read up on how EA handles reports of harassment and illegal content here.
Account security
It’s important to always keep your account and money safe – so please implement safe internet practices.
- Never give out your credentials.
- Use unique passwords.
- Don’t share your account, even with your friends or family.
- Only buy games and coins from reputable sources.
