AHQ Archive Oct 2023: Wrap-up of Answers HQ Cybersecurity Awareness Month!

Hey everyone,

The last day of October marks the end of our Answers HQ Cybersecurity Awareness Month! Throughout the month, we have prepared a series of cybersecurity-related articles, along with quizzes and a special surprise challenge where you can test your cryptographic skills. All aimed at raising awareness about the importance of cybersecurity in our digital lives.

Our articles covered a wide range of topics related to your online safety. We started with general thoughts about online safety, then we shared tips about protecting your gaming accounts (and more), covered the fundamentals of your online interaction, and lastly, raised your vigilance in spotting phishing and malware.

Each article was followed up with a quiz, and by completing any of the quizzes, you will receive a unique forum badge to add to your badge collection. You still have time until 23:59 GMT; after this time, the quizzes will no longer accept submissions. Badges will be granted to all participants later this week.

The challenge we prepared was, according to the feedback we've received, the highlight of the month for some users. We started off with a simple binary code, and then the difficulty level gradually increased.

Lastly, we welcomed Elise, the Senior Director of Game Security & Anti-Cheat, in our interview. Elise told us more about the team she is leading and, of course, covered topics related to cybersecurity.

As we conclude this month, let's remember that cybersecurity awareness is not limited to just one month. Let's carry the knowledge we've gained forward and continue to prioritize our online safety throughout the year.
