Nice! The first volume of the 2025 Security Newsletter is out, and thanks for sharing great tips and real-life examples.

Every time I download an app on my mobile device (from a trusted source), it runs an "antivirus scan for malware and other threats." However, at the same time, some ads pop up. This makes me wonder if the scan is actually legitimate or just another way to advertise products. After all, nothing is truly free nowadays. So, does it actually perform a real virus scan, or is it just for show?
