oops, sorry, I thought I was replaying to GoodFeather-007 above. I too got assigned a random name instead of my old forum name. Email address is OK.

As above, try visiting https://myaccount.ea.com/ and update your EA ID. If you then log out and in again on the forum, your user name should update.
