Blog Post
I was wondering if I got this because I recent had a comment removed (it confirmed an issue, with a tangent comment still on subject, as it is a broader problem not isolated to 1 item/bug report). So it was on subject in terms of thumbnails showing incoherently in Sims 4 (with a mild tease/criticism in regards to the devs), and it was removed. So seeing this today did get my attention. That maybe I was tagged as spam again (it happened months ago, all my posts were en mass removed, but eventually restored).
My concern is overly censoring content (because of or not because of this new feature), especially from long standing members giving feedback. Censoring (EVEN if it is to help keep more on subject), can be counter-productive (and create more backlash), and make a user/player feel unnecessarily silenced. During a time when people are a little more upset at the franchise (I am concerned for the franchise but not upset), a censoring of a comment mildly teasing/criticizing the devs, shouldn't be taken so sensitively. Especially, how I believe I speak a fair tone both for and against specific issues regarding the devs.
I think at most I am cheeky to mildly intense, so being overly censored for a game/franchise, I have been passionate and supportive of—is very disconcerting. I have also have provided forum feedback via zoom meetings, and I mentioned the over censoring then too. So yes, I am interested in what this new feature means in it's entirety.
