Most games bought on Steam were able to be redeemed on Origin why not the other way round?

When you buy a game on Steam, both Valve and EA are being paid. If you buy a game on Origin, only EA gets paid, so you don't get to use Valve's bandwidth to download the game.

Hey @razzydee when you buy an EA game on Steam then you will need to link your Steam account with Origin and have Origin running when launching these games, this is why they may appear in your Origin library. They don't transfer to your Origin account and you will still need Steam in order to play them.

In bird culture this is considered a richard move.
Typical EA... Greedy as it gets, punish the consumer for your flop client...

@zSiGmOnDiUs Well apart from C&C Remastered all EA titles released on Steam starting from SWJ:FO will still require Origin client to be running along with Steam.

I am reluctant to make a definitive assessment based on two games, but since neither the upcoming STAR WARS: Squadrons nor the recently released C&C Remastered Collection require the Origin client if purchased on Steam, I am at least hopeful this indicates that moving forwards all new EA games published on Steam (and on other digital distribution services which have their own launchers) won't require the Origin client.
The Steam store page for STAR WARS: Squadrons indicates that the Steam version doesn't require the Origin client (there is no mention of "Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: EA on-line activation and Origin client software installation and background use required"), but the EGS store page for STAR WARS: Squadrons indicates that the EGS version does require the Origin client ["download, & installation & background use of the Origin client software (origin.com/download) required to play"]. Perhaps the EGS version of SW: Squadrons requires Origin since EGS has yet to implement achievements and some other functionality. When EGS adds this functionality in the future, then maybe Origin won't be required for future EA games purchased on EGS.
I don't expect EA to invest resources to patch Origin out of existing Origin-required games sold on Steam and EGS (which is disheartening, as the Origin requirement means those games will never make their way to GOG.com, unless GOG sp. z o.o. and EA can reach an agreement whereby EA authorizes GOG to do the patching itself). But if new games don't require the Origin client (unless purchased on Origin.com), that will be good news for both Steam and EGS gamers, and likely (eventually) GOG gamers as well.
If the Origin client isn't required (unless a game is purchased on Origin.com), I don't think I would buy future non-exclusive EA games on Origin.com in that case. If it's a decent game, I plan on buying STAR WARS: Squadrons on Steam (and GOG.com, if it becomes available there at a later date).
While I'd like to have fewer accounts to oversee and have fewer launchers to keep up with, having multiple launchers installed isn't a deal-breaker, but I do not want to run multiple launchers at the same time when gaming. Maybe this week's EA Play Live event will update us on whether future EA games will require the Origin client if purchased elsewhere (i.e. if not purchased on Origin.com).
Edit: It appears Madden NFL 21 will require the Origin client if purchased on Steam. I hope that is because the game was too far along in development to remove Origin integration when the EA-Valve agreement was reached. I still hold out hope that future EA titles, particularly those not already in development, will not require the Origin client if purchased on Steam.
