Re: Origin servers not working and will not load games

@coolhamandrats  What version of macOS are you running?  You can check by clicking the Apple icon in the upper left corner of your screen and selecting About This Mac.

If you're still on Yosemite, can you update to a newer OS?  You should at least be able to run El Capitan.  Yosemite and Origin are currently not working well together.

@coolhamandrats Maybe you can try to install the old (legacy) client. It did work for me when nothing else did:
    https://www.dm.origin.com/mac/download/legacy

If you don’t want to blindly install it, you can check if your symptoms match those I had:
    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin-Client-Web-Technical/Mac-Origin-not-connecting/m-p/7986511/highlight/true#M39849

To confirm this, you can check the Origin logs. They are stored in path:
    /Users/<your_mac_user>/Library/Application Support/Origin/Logs
The log of interest is called Client_Log.txt
You should be able to find something like this:
Error     logReplyError                                                               4718220032          OriginServiceResponse QNetworkReply error code [6] error string : [SSL handshake failed] HTTP status code [0] X-Origin-Ops []

and lots of other similar errors

Or you can just open a Terminal by going to Applications -> Utilities
From there you can run the Terminal application and then execute:
    grep SSL /Users/*/Library/Application\ Support/Origin/Logs/Client_Log.txt

This will return all of the rows from the log where there the word SSL is mentioned (for all Mac users, so if there are multiple users using your Mac, you may replace the asterisk with your username, but it’s not necessary)
If there are rows similar to the one I mentioned above, it’s worth trying the old client.

I'm having the same problem no matter how many times I reload! Also have a Mac with the latest download so I know my computer's not the problem. I'm going to return my downloaded game and just purchase the hard copy to see if that works but Origin really needs to sort this out.
