Re: origin in compatibility mode
@chibisama08 You don't need to run Sims 3 in compatibility mode; it runs just fine in Windows 10, at least most of the time. Try undoing the Sims 3 compatibility setting and see what happens.
If that doesn't help, did you install Origin from a Sims 3 disc, or did you maybe install a legacy version of Origin at some point? The old version of Origin, the one that ran in XP and Vista, was sunset in January, and it often can't even update itself to the current version. Please clear Origin's cache, then uninstall it "the hard way."

Download the full Origin installer, and run it as an admin: right-click on the download and select "Run as administrator." This is a direct download link:

Run Origin itself in compatibility mode too, at least until it and Sims 3 are working. If you get any other error messages, please post a screenshot.
