- @_ThiagoStoneee EA Doesnt give a shi about you or Geforce now. This has been an issue since 2015 when paperspace launched. EA makes no money whatsoever from these services so 5 years later here we are at start one. They will NEVER fix this issue unless it involved them making money.
This happens to me too. Apex Legends is a very fun game, but when this happens i really dont wanna play. Im playing alot this week bcuz of that bonus xp, but when i log in bunch of times i get this error.
This is ❤️❤️❤️❤️ ridiculous, EA hasn’t even responded to a single post containing those error. I can honestly say that I will spread the word to everyone know that EA is ducking crap. We as a community will ducking bury this piece of shirt company if you don’t plan on fixing this issue soon. Don’t you care about your customers at all????
Mark my words, EA DUCKING SUCKS! It’s has the worst customer service I have ever witnessed in any brach of marketing whatsoever. This is absolutely pathetic, one day you will regret this, when your company is buried underneath other services as steam as which actually cares about their customers.
I cannot state this enough: YOU ARE PATHETIC!
And if this comment is removed, well... I don’t know what to say. I’m at loss for words for this garbage company.
<answer deleted> buying a new pc is definitely better than using such services as geforce now. do not make a mistake
Just to let everyone who experiences this problem know that I’ve found a temporary fix to this problem. Go into your settings at EA.com, then security and delete every pc on this list. There will most likely be 10+. Then try logging in via GeForce now, and viola your in. Atleast this worked for me. Happy killing ^^
- @snipanosaveu Hi, I went to security and couldn't find the list of pc's.
- @Chident13 Really? That’s strange. Try this link https://myaccount.ea.com/cp-ui/security/ , then under my devices delete every computer on that list.
- @snipanosaveu Clicking on that link takes me to a page that says "page not found." Am I going to the wrong settings or something? I click on the profile at the top right corner of ea.com, and then go to account settings. Am I doing it right?
- @Chident13 Okay so go to EA.com then click on your profile picture, then account settings. There you will see a security tab and at the bottom is a list of your trusted devices.
- @snipanosaveu It says "no trusted devices to display"
- @Chident13 That doesn’t even make sense, unless you’ve never logged in on origin. How many times have you logged into origin via GeForce now the past week? It should keep up to 15 devices as I know. That it shows none doesn’t even make sense because even the device you used to check your settings just now should be at the top of the list.
I don’t know, but maybe you need to have 2 factor authentication enabled for any device to register. - @snipanosaveu I think I know whats up, I don't have two factor authentication enabled, so there are no trusted devices yet. I turned it on.
Greetings all,
I can confirm that this works. For anyone using Geforce Now still receiving the 'Too many computers..." error, simply login to your EA account, navigate to "Security" tab and click on "Login Verification". Choose email, phone number etc.. EA will send you a verification code to your communication option of choice. Enter this code in the box. Once complete and verified, login through Geforce Now again with your account, it will ask you to verify again via your choice (Email, phone etc..) Enter the next code, and you should have no problems.
The issue is GeForce Now logs each session as a virtual computer in a different location each login, which Origin/EA flags as suspicious. No need to wait 24 hours with this method though 🙂
As a note: You will have to re-verify each login! this will not permanently fix the problem or allow you to fluidly pass through the Origin login process when playing Apex Legends. However, it is a temporary workaround. Also, it is possible you will have to occasionally login to your EA account, navigate to "security" and under trusted devices, choose remove trusted devices. EA/Origin, please fix this issue regarding GeForce Now compatibility.
Cheers
- @RiverJim69 Don’t forget to mention that you have to remove all previous trusted devices from the list in the security settings as well.
- @snipanosaveu I added the edit mentioning this. Thanks for your posts, hopefully EA/Origin fixes this issue soon. :D
- @RiverJim69 Thanks for your feedback. I am facing the same error. Once I solved it your way, but when I started the game immediately after closing the game, I got the same error again. So, I removed the two-factor authentication once and registered a new one, and I was removed trusted devices, but the same error could not be resolved. If you know other methods, could you please tell me?
- @jelaime07 I am not sure why it's not working for you. I haven't had any problems logging in and out. I'm curious, did you use a phone number as your two-factor authentication? I'm not sure why it should matter but I set mine up to be the same email I login to Origin with.
@RiverJim69Thank you for your reply! I used a Google authentication app for two-factor authentication. Switching to email authentication as you say, I'm gone with login and logout issues! ! ! Your advice was helpful to me. However, at this point, I have only checked login and logout twice, so I don't know if it has solved the problem, so I wanna verify it again. I wanna report immediately.
- @jelaime07 May I ask you what you did to fix the error? It will help me a lot.
- @RiverJim69 are you sure? Because it still isnt working for me.
- @jelaime07 No problem, that's great. So as an update, I actually got the same message again after about 15-20 logins and nothing I've tried so far has worked to fix it. I tried switching to the Google authentication app with no luck. I also realized I was leaving the "remember this device" box checked while logging in, so it kept adding more devices to my "trusted devices" list. @AmphyKD Follow the previously stated steps and make sure to leave this box unchecked each login. Also, if you are locked out, don't attempt to sign in over and over again, you have to wait the full 24 hours. However, you can always make a new account following the same guidelines in order to play while you wait. It sucks I know, but right now it's the only way to play if you're locked out. ☹️ Hope this helps everyone
Cheers - @RiverJim69 Thanks to you, I can play games happily. I was also paying attention to the "remember this device" box. I understand why "reliable devices" are not increasing. Thank you.
@AmphyKD
1. Logout from all Origin(EA) sites
2. Remove all trusted devices from the EA account settings on the Security tab
3. Make sure to set two-step verification to "Email" on the Security tab from the EA account
4. Leave the "remember this device" box checked while logging in every time
For more information, please refer #28 by @RiverJim69 in this topic. I also spent half a day on this error. I hope you do well.It doesnt work for me.
EA, how long will it take until you fix this bug?
I pay money to your game and can't play it. Perfect.
I have done everything listed: enabled my security verification, navigated to and removed all trusted devices, restarted Nvidia Now, reentered my security code, and still get the same error.
I've spoken over the phone with EA Customer Support, and they cannot remove the lock-out, and have said they do not have a fix for the issue at the moment. They mentioned this would be a recurring problem and recommend not using Nvidia Now at the moment unless you're able to contact Nvidia and manage to lock your account to one device. However I do not know if that is possible. EA is in no way partnered with Nvidia, therefore resolving this issue doesn't seem like a priority to them, as it seems to fall more on the side on Nvidia.
