@lucydarnell When you say you've tried deleting folders, does that include clearing Origin's cache? If not, or if you're not sure you got all the folders, please try it now:

If that doesn't work, try repairing the game in Origin first: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.
