Re: EA Play Won't Launch The Saboteur

Hey @LeisureJack you can reinstall it to test if that's possible?

  • Tried the following steps to resolve:

    • Reinstalled Origin client
    • Attempted to launch game (FAILED)
    • Uninstall EA Play app
    • Attempted to relaunch game through Origin (FAILED)
    • Repaired game files through Origin
    • Attempted to launch game through Origin (FAILED)
    • Uninstalled and reinstalled game through Origin
    • Attempted to launch game through Origin (FAILED)
    • Changed game options to launch through game launcher
    • Attempted to launch game through Origin (FAILED)
    • Downloaded French language
    • Attempted to launch game through Origin (FAILED)

So it doesn't launch through Origin either. I was able to start a different game through Origin and EA Play so they both work for different games.

Testing it here now @LeisureJack and it's working for me.

Do you see an error of any kind when it fails?

    Darko

  • No there's no error, it just doesn't launch the game and kicks back out to either the EA Play app or the Origin client.

Can you try limiting it to four cores and then launching the game again @LeisureJack to see if that makes a difference?

    Darko

  • Yes, limiting the number of cores to 4 worked. Here are the steps I followed:

    • Windows + R keys
    • Type "msconfig"
    • Select "Boot" tab
    • Select "Advanced options..."
    • Check "Number of processors box"
    • Choose "4" from the dropdown
    • Click "OK"
    • Click "Apply"
    • Restart computer
    • Relaunch game through Origin

The game started. I haven't tested the performance yet, but at least it's progressing into the game now.

  • @EA_Darko I have same problem which LeisureJack has. My cpu has 16 cores. I've tried using from 16 cores to 1 cores but neither one was able to solve my problem. The Saboteur doesn't launch.
