I tried out all of these methods without any success sadly:

• restarting router
• flushing DNS and resetting IP
• running everything as admin
• making sure security settings were in order
• forwarding ports
• good 'ol PC restart
• deinstalling / reinstalling the game
• playing with a wired connection (always)

I will try a clean boot and get rid of background programs, but I doubt any success will come of it.
