It was tier 50 with 800 metals. I completed two challenges which got me from tier 49 to 50 but I only received tier 49.

Can you send me your case number in a private message? It sounds like they referred you to the forums to report this as a bug for the development team to be aware of.

After some investigation it appears you received a legendary Alternator weapon skin. 👍
