Weird question because I’ve been battling the same kind of issue, but do you use an external USB hard drive with your PS4?

No external hard drive in the system. The only thing I have changed is installed a new SSD about 4 months ago due to the original one failing.
Dang. I was hoping that was my issue, but maybe not. It's such an inconsistent problem. I've purchased two new controllers and they work for about a month, then start having the same issue. Like you I have no problem in other games. Interestingly enough, I get the same crazy drift issue when playing Titanfall 2, which most of this game is based on.
