Re: Windows 11 Audio Bug

I somehow solved it after changing the type of Spatial Sound in setting to "Windows Sonic for Headpones"

For me to have virtual surround working in Windows 11 I had to do the following:

    - in Sound Blaster Command I have set virtual sound to 5.1 (that's my preference I found it subjectively better than 7.1)

    - in Sound Blaster Command I have enabled SBX and adjusted "surround" to 100%

    - I have disabled all "audio enhancements" in sound options for my Sound Blaster X3

Tested with: https://www2.iis.fraunhofer.de/AAC/multichannel.html (use appropriate audio file)

You should hear center channel "right in the face", left and right on proper sides and surround left and right behind Your head/ears.

Yes, thats also a solution for some players but when I enable Windows Sonic, horrible sound quality follows.

Well I have the Realtek Audio Console and I need to add that specific enhancement which is the "Bass" from that console since my Apple Earbuds 3.5mm headphones provide better sound quality both in-game and in Windows. Whenever I add enhancements from there (or Windows, doesn't matter) the game just recognizes my setup as 7.1 Surround, instead of Stereo. Didn't have any problems on Windows 10. And whenever I disable those enhancements, the problem just disappears, however, I need that bass enhancement to have a good sound quality.

I'm stuck with the +miles_channels 2 launch command, it provides a solution but not a decent one. It just makes the game force Stereo, but I still hear the sound as Surround, just like the other people who specified that. Thanks for the answers anyways.
