@SkillAuto That's very interesting. Can you try a reinstall first, to check in case there's some local damaged asset that's a factor.

If the issue persists, can you check if the PS5's autocapture grabbed the final moment before the crash. I think you're on the right track with the issue being related to switching, and a clip of the moment in question will help immensely with identifying the culprit.

And it's of course rotated out now, but Gun Run will be back on October 11th.

    @EA_David Sure, I can reinstall and see if it continues to happen the next time the LTM returns.

    The problem with capturing video of a crash on PS4/PS5 is that as soon as you exit a game (or in this case, crash out of a game), you lose all unsaved recording, making video evidence impossible without external video capture.

    I did report the crashes through the PlayStation 5 UI, which I believe may attach a clip when you send it? I'm not sure where these reports surface on your end.

    They don't go directly to me, but I have some QA contacts who get them.

    The optional notes are apparently super-useful for sorting them, so if you get the crash please send the video and attach a note. If you could let me know what note you added I'll pass it on so the devs can pick out the right one.

    @EA_David I had this crash happen again tonight now that Gun Run has returned. Last week I uninstalled Apex from my PS5, deleted my local and cloud save file, then did a fresh reinstall. I couldn't save a video of the crash for the reason mentioned previously, but I have a few details and the note I wrote for the crash report so the team can find it:

    The crash report note is "SkillAuto Gun Run Crash 001" without quotes.

    Some details: I was on the Worlds Edge map, getting hit with Caustic gas and shooting a Spitfire (or possibly Rampage?) while aiming down sights. The game crashed the moment I secured an elimination. I submitted report and returned to the match spawned with the Volt SMG, having been eliminated while crashed out of the game.

    The only thing in common with the crashes is it happening the moment an elimination is secured, and possibly while aiming down sights? Weapon being used, Legend being used, Legend I'm eliminating, and map being played on have been different.

    I al struggling with the same issue. Except it is not at all rare. It happens every time I play gun run (usually right after I’ve killed someone and die myself).

    having looked at other forums this seems to be a common problem which only occurs on gun run and on PS5…
